Hotel berhampiran Arch of the Palaces of the Ambassadors, Rome

Hotel was in a great location. walking distance to the main railway station and to the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain. Good nearby bus links to the colosseum and the circus Maximus, and only a ten minute walk to the nearest underground. The hotel did a buffet breakfast which was very convenient, and had a mini bar in the room which we didn’t use, but the prices seemed reasonable for a hotel in Rome. Good restaurants nearby also.

The hotel is situated right behind the Metro B line, only one stop from the Roma Termini metro station (or you can walk to Roma Termini by foot, which takes about 8 mins). So it's super convenient to travel anywhere by metro (but please note some metro stations may not be closed without prior notice). Our room is tiny but tidy, with all kinds of toiletries available (including slippers). The shower area is quite spacious compared to other hotels/hostels we stayed in during our trip. Our booking didn't include any breakfast, but we got some pastries and coffee just downstairs (there are a few cafe bars nearby). Will definitely come back if I am in Rome next time.

Sono certa che ognuno di noi abbia la propria scala di fattori per valutare se un posto e' bello o brutto ma che siano le persone il valore aggiunto. In questo hotel pulito, carino e molto comodo , vicino alla stazione di Roma Termini sono proprio le persone che fanno di un piccolo hotel, un punto di riferimento per i nostri viaggi a Roma. Paola della reception e' stata, ed è, la persona che ci ha seguito in fase di prenotazione e che si è fatta in quattro per aiutarci a proiettare le nostre fotografie su una parete, di una saletta allestita solamente per noi, un gruppetto di fotografi arrivati in città per un corso di fotografia di due giorni. I appreciate how Julian ( the receptionist/ cleaner) welcomed us and did his best while we wait until he finished cleaning our room. We did arrive early so we understand why our room wasn’t ready yet. We have no complaints against him. He is very sweet and nice. However, the room is totally different from the photos posted on their site. The room space was tolerable but no A/C and there is a very weird smell in the bathroom and the second night was totally NO WIFI. I texted the contact number but no response. The shower area was small. I am a petite woman and I weight 120 pounds I barely cannot move a lot and I do not think a 6 foot male weighing more than 200 pounds won’t be able to move freely in the shower cubicle. Another thing that is a disappointment was 2 month and 1 month prior to our arrival We requested for an airport shuttle (since it was mentioned that they offer this service, which is also the major reason we picked this property to stay) the day before the arrival was the only time we found out from Andrea ( he’s a male) that we won’t be able to picked up since he said the shuttle is already full. We we’re really disappointed. If we knew about that hassle we should’ve arrange a different transportation or went to a different hotel that offer the airport pick up. I didn’t like how he sent us the message saying that we never communicated very well with him. Like what I mentioned, we were already trying to request for this 2 months and again a month before our arrival. Only last minute we found out that we’re on our own to figure it out how to get to Dada suites. The only good thing about this property was Julian. We like him a lot . The location was ok but there are better properties that have better location to tourist spots and excellent service.

Only two stars but spotlessly clean. Lovely room and super shower room. Bed was firm but comfortable. Fridge in the room. Coffee machine and snack machine near reception. No lift. Room only. Area is a bit run down. Lovely park 100 metres away with pavement cafe/bar doing basic snacks. Would go there again

I have never been to a place where a hotel feels like home. This is one of the amazing benefits of staying in Ostello Bello. The staff, bartenders, and night shift felt like absolute family by the end and I truly will never stay anywhere else while in Rome. Fravio (hope I am spelling that right) made my trip with his kind and friendly demeanor. All of the bartenders made me feel at home and welcome at all times. Treating me more than fairly in every citrcumstance. The rooms were clean and nice, with working showers and good facilities. I truly have nothing negative to say about my visit.

I would have liked to rate the hotel as 4.5* however our room was at the front of the hotel and even with the windows shut it was very noisy from the large road junction outside, plus there was noise from other residents and tvs in other rooms, maybe some soundproofing needs to be carried out. That having been said the location was excellent, an easily walkable distance to main attractions, plus a metro stop is directly outside the hotel. The area felt safe at night and there some very good restaurants to try which are only minutes away. Should you wish to go shopping then there are plenty of non-designer shops to choose from nearby including a very good department store called COIN. Our room was a good size and had a lovely bathroom. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, the linen was super soft. Cleaning through the hotel was of a high standard. Breakfast was excellent, everything you might want and the most delicious scrambled eggs I have ever had in a hotel. There were salads, pastries, cakes, fresh fruit, yoghurts, different cured meats and cheeses, sausages and bacon and vegetarian options. Top marks for the hard working breakfast staff. A great start to the day. Staff generally were friendly and helpful. At reception were snacks and drinks to welcome you which was a nice gesture. The hotel also has a small restaurant, ideal for lunches or if you are too exhausted to leave the hotel at night. We had pizzas and salads there a couple of times for lunch and they were very good. The reception area is good with couches, they will look after your baggage if you have a late flight. A very enjoyable stay.

I picked this hotel because the pictures looked really good and it was within my price range. I really wanted a hotel with a pool, however, due to the time of the year that we came there are no pools available in Rome. I also picked it because it had a breakfast included. The breakfast was pretty good and it is a full breakfast, not a continental breakfast. The selections were quite varied but not extensive and a good start to your morning. The first day we arrived, however, they had some electrical problems in the building and could not honor our first day of reservation. They did however host us in another hotel which was actually nicer than theirs. The rest of the stay was quite pleasant and we had no further problems. The room is not overly big but it sufficed to what we needed. The only big concern was the fact that it is quite far away from all of the tourist attractions. It is indeed an hour and bit to get anywhere. The good news though, is that the bus stop is literally right in front of the hotel and with a bus pass you can get virtually anywhere. The city offers several options for bus passes all the way from one day to 7 days unlimited. Take advantage of that as you will need it. Google maps is your friend!! The staff are super friendly and quite accommodating and all in all I would stay in this hotel again. Thank you 😊

Lots of on site parking. Laundry service recommended across the hotel were amazing and friendly. Room was very small though. Blow dryer didn’t work. Not enough bench space in the bathroom. Overall cleanliness was great. The fridge was nice and cold. Although they don’t have a stocked fridge and you would have to go down to get bottled water. Variety of breakfast choices. Drinks were okay and coffee was from an instant coffee machine which was okay. Staff weren’t around often to ask for fresh coffee. Front concierge were friendly though and very helpful.

We are a family of four, just returned from Camping Fabulous. We chose this campsite for its location and proximity to Rome. We didn't hire a car but organised a taxi from and to the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport as it cost less than public transport and is less than a 30 minute transfer. We stayed 3-10th April. The campsite was just getting geared up for the start of the season and they were not ready to hit the ground running. The night we arrived there was a large queue of people outside the very small reception cabin, it's not an actual building, and a security guard outside was managing the queue so people didn't crowd into the very small cabin. We couldn't see how many reception staff were on so went straight to the bar for something to eat. It was busy there and staff seemed frazzled and harassed as if not expecting it to be so busy so early in the season. Food is basic but adequate. Stick to reliables like pizzas and pasta. Anything outside of that from a secondi menu did not live up to the description on the menu and pricey for what it was. Restaurant is not very attractive in decor- it's more like a canteen than a restaurant in the lighting and noisy acoustics. It's not a place you'd like to linger over a glass of wine. Eat and go. We returned to reception and got our key to our mobile which was a three bed close to the pool area. We requested a change right away as we were housed next door to a large noisy group of Italian men and reception facilitated our request. The second mobile was in a much quieter area but still near the pool. Good idea by previous reviewer to study the map of the campsite and select your accommodation before you go and ask to be accommodated in your choice. We met one family from Brussels with children who were 20 minutes walk from.the pool area, supermarket etc. The campsite is very big so bear in mind that you could be accommodated a good walk from facilities if you don't request otherwise. We knew the pool wouldn't be open until Friday 7th April and that was fine as we intended to visit Rome 4tg, 5th and 6th and stay around the pool when weather was forecast to be good at the Easter weekend but it did not say on the website that the supermarket would not be open until Friday 7th either. In fact it didnt open until Saturday 8th due to some issues but no one working there seemed to know when exactly it was opening and weren't too bothered either. People were milling sround in the mornings trying to buy the few croissants on sale from the bar and they sold out fast and that was it then, nothing else to buy, no basics available like fresh bread , milk or water. The bar staff were overwhelmed by the queue of people and knowing they were unprepared. We walked to the PIM supermarket, a well stocked supermarket, which was over 1km away and trekked back with water milk, cereal etc on a very dangerous, uneven, bumpy road with no footpath except at times, a bit of a muddy verge as the cars sped past.
