ALL Hotel staff goes above and beyond ! Food on terrace and Palm Court were excellent. View from terrace restaurant one of the best in Rome. Conceierge were knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. hotel itself is in a superior location and was a pleasure to come “home” to after excursions or late walks at night. The location is perfect, near the Termini station which connects you everywhere you go. Termini station is not exactly safe as there are many homeless people camping and roaming around. We felt that the hotel was safe as the doors were locked and security guard is on duty to service the guests.

While my wife and I love boutique hotels, I travel a lot for work and prefer Hilton brand hotels. That said, this was the best of both worlds. They offered the experience I've grown to expect of Hilton Honors but with the charm, service and care you expect from a boutique hotel. We stayed in a junior suite which was VERY worth it, traveling for a couple of weeks and living out of luggage can take up a little bit extra room. And this was one of the nicest suites we've ever stayed in while traveling on vaca, we definitely felt like we were spoiling ourselves here (which was the goal). We had breakfast every morning downstairs in the 1930's cafe, it was one of the better hotel breakfasts I've ever had. They had a lot of the same pastries and fruits every morning, and then a changing cooked item day-to-day. Everything was great. When we got there we ordered a grilled chicken club with fries because we needed food immediately after traveling most of the day (we were starving). And it was huge, was delivered quickly and really good (pictured). Rooftop bar was cool, would be a good time if it were a little warmer at night. Across the board, every single member of the staff was the nicest person and really wanted to do whatever was needed to make sure your needs were met. I wish I made a point to get names to mention a couple of them here, but they really were all awesome. Nice rooftop pool, it was a little cool but I did take a dip then head down to the sauna. We didn't use any spa services but it did look like a really nice spa. Great area for our first-time to Rome. Walkable distance to the spanish steps, pantheon, trevi fountain. Easy cab or uber ride to everything else we went to visit. PS- Seeing the doorman in the TripA cover phot in person felt like a celebrity sighting lol

We were two couples (friends) travelling in Italy and Hotel Locarno was our first stop. What a beautiful and elegant hotel it is. We had two suites, which were spacious and elegant and we felt very special, especially with the nightly turndown service, just lovely. The courtyard was fantastic for breakfast and cocktails and dinner, and even though it rained a lot while we were there, the retractible roof over the courtyard makes it always accessible. Unfortunately we were just that little bit early for the roof garden to be open for drinks but we could still access it as guests of the hotel. All of the staff was great, friendly and switched on about any issues we had. They also have great courtesy slippers in the rooms, very classy, although a little big for myself but a lovely idea. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and it was a highlight of our visit to Rome. We would all definitely stay at the Locarno on any future visits to Rome.
