Hotel berhampiran University of Washington Rome Center, Rome

We booked this hotel for a three night stay before our cruise. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our corner room had a cute balcony and the décor, furnishings, and vibe is sexy modern. They have a fabulous restaurant where you can grab the breakfast buffet. So many amazing choices. We also had dinner here one night and drinks another. It's tucked away in a very lively and fun neighborhood. Around the corner are tons of restaurants and shops. It's a 6 minute walk to Piazza di Santa Maria where we bought souvenirs, ate gelato and pizza, and hung out with the night crowd. The main street around the corner It's a 35 minute walk to the colosseum and a 45 minute walk to the Vatican. We did each of these on different days. It's definitely centrally located and I would stay here again.

The hotel was great- it's located 10 mins from termini central station (so easy to get there from the airport and no need to walk alot with your luggage), and from piazza della repubblica (so close to another metro station). The location was great because it's walking distance to everthing you want to see (I only took the metro to the vatican- you could also walk there, which I did on the way back when I had more time). There are also good restaurants, gelaterias and shops in the area (as it's located next to via nazionale and the opera house) and they are usually less expensive and crowded than those near famous sites (so I ate there almost every evening). I had a single room which was clean and had everything I needed (comfy bed, safe, hot water, wifi, etc.). The staff was really nice and helpful (they are there 24/7, and you can leave your luggage with them if you need), and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit! This was my second stay at Nerva Accomodation Cavour, and I was completely satisfied. We arrived about 9pm having chosen the self check-in option: access to the hotel and room were via PIN codes supplied by WhatsApp, which worked fine. Room was perfectly clean and had air conditioning controlled by a remote control. Staff were available at breakfast, which comprised tea/coffee and a selection of pastries and yoghurts. A little noise could be heard from other rooms, but nothing disturbing. Location is a short walk from both Termini station and the Colosseum.

The Superior Apartment that we stayed in was on the 5th floor. It was perfect for our family of 5 (Grandma, Mom, Dad, 3.5 yr old, and 18 month old). They had a pack and play ready for our littlest one, and the pull out sofa bed was already nicely made up and ready for our arrival. We were ever so grateful that the Oriana Homel accommodated an early check in, so we were able to get picked up straight from the train station and taken to our apartment. The place was large and excellent for walking to all the destinations. We found it a great home based to come back and rest/relax after a ton of walking. Great restaurants nearby. Some good things to note for families: small elevators, but they weren't busy and we could easily shuffle up multiple loads of luggage at a time. Back entrance is best for meeting airport transfers, etc. The Oriana Homel arranged all our transfers and they were wonderful with being on time, communicative, knowledgable, and comfortable vehicle arrangements. The only thing I wished the apartment had was an in unit washer/dryer. They did recommend a laundry service nearby, but it would have been nice to wash the kids' clothes during our stay.

This hotel was a disappointment. I stayed there for four nights this easter for my first trip to Rome. I choose this hotel because it was central and medium high ranked, but the only positive thing was the location. It sits centrally located near the Pantheon and most things are in walking distance. However, to even get into the hotel you need to go through a police checkpoint since the hotel is opposite to the parliament building across the piazza. Still that’s not the problem. Although the hotel has a shiny reception the rest of the hotel is worn and not living up to its reputation. The rooms are worn down and though cleaned things doesn’t seem quite clean. The the bed was squeaky and barely holding together. The bathroom shower was broken and the bathroom altogether tiny. Breakfast was another disappointment. Although it had a basic, not continental thought, composition, they always ran out of food before breakfast time was over. The croissants were burnt, the eggs badly overcooked and the cheese dry. Not very pleasant. So the only thing that was positive was the location. Still there is a hundred other hotels with the same location and I can’t imagine them being as bad as this. Spend your money elsewhere.

Rome was just a quick stop on our trip to Italy. We know staying at an IHG property is always a safe bet when it comes to quality standards and Ambasciatori wasn't the exemption. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived early morning and our room was not ready yet so they went out of their way and called the office so that we could store our valuables in the hotel safe while our room was ready. Once that was taken care of we decided to venture out and walk around. Ambasciatori enjoys prime location, being on Via Veneto just a short walk from many sights, including Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi and, of course, Via dei Condotti. Our room was standard size as well as the bathroom but the highlight of the room without a doubt was the huge balcony where we enjoyed having our morning espresso. The concierge and the doormen were always eager to help us book reservations, call taxis, give us directions... If you stay there you can't miss Charlie's Rooftop Bar. A great option to unwind after a busy day of walking, sightseeing and shopping. Either you want some snacks or just a cocktail i'm sure you will enjoy the lively atmosphere, the view and the fresh air. Do definitely consider staying at the Ambasciatori if you want quality, luxury, comfort and location.

We booked 2 double rooms in August 2022 for 5 nights in March 2023 using booking.com. As part of the booking process, we registered a credit card on a ”pay at the hotel” basis. 6 days before we were due to arrive, we received an e-mail telling us we had to confirm the credit card details within 24 hours by following a link in the e-mail, with the threat of cancellation if we didn't do so. In years of travelling, we've never come across this before. We tried repeatedly, ended up using 5 different cards (mix of debit/credit cards and of card-providers) and every time it failed with a message saying there was a problem, and to try later. We contacted the bank to confirm the cards weren't at fault, rang booking.com and got them to contact the hotel - we even offered to pay the full amount up-front rather than risk losing the booking. They checked with the hotel and said the hotel were unable to take a payment over the phone, but that the booking was OK. The following day, we received a further e-mail stating the booking was cancelled as we'd failed to confirm the credit card. We rang booking.com again, who - once again - rang the hotel but couldn't get a response. With 5 days before we were due to fly, we went into a desperate search for somewhere to stay. Booking.com offered us a number of alternatives - none were anywhere near as convenient a location (as other reviews have said, it's superb for the main tourist sites), and at higher prices. We ended up finding an AirBnB apartment. Lo and behold, 3 days from flying, we get an e-mail from booking.com stating the hotel had now got 2 ”Superior” rooms available to offer us at £50 per room per night over our original booking price. We declined. So - our conclusion is that - at best, the hotel's admin/systems are flawed (card confirmation process/system is unreliable and they can't/won't accept payment by phone). Or - at worst..... well, you can draw your own conclusion.

Accommodation in Rome is insanely overpriced at all price points…However, if one wants to stay in central Rome then this is definitely a great hotel to stay at. Clean, modern, great customer service, extremely comfortable bed! What more can one hope for from a couple of nights stay. It should be noted that the area around Termini is not the nicest in Rome, however the hotel is at least located in the (relatively) better part of the area around termini.

We stayed at Hotel ISA for 12 nights, and couldn't have picked a better location. It was in walking distance to many of the sights, and convenient to the Metro. The breakfast on the terrace was wonderful with a great view and variety of food. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was not on yet (which we found out is normal for Europe this time of year), and we requested a fan for our room. Within an hour or 2 they had delivered a floor fan which was a big help sleeping at night. The room was also equipped with soundproof widows. There are also many restaurants and gelato places near by for convenience. I would like to thank the staff for making our stay great, and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Il personale di servizio serale è eccellente e mi hanno prontamente aiutato a passare a una nuova stanza. La camera è piuttosto piacevole, in quanto è pulita, ordinata e confortevole. La colazione è adeguata e riempie lo stomaco, ma niente di straordinario. They were also very patient in assisting me to locate my lost items. The room itself is quite pleasant, being clean, tidy, and comfortable. Breakfast is adequate and filling, but unremarkable.
