Hotel Laurin

On a recent trip to Italy we spent one night at Laurin. I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was beautiful with a fabulous view. The rest of the hotel is gorgeous. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast the next day all on the terrace. The food was all superb and the setting delightful. The pool was really cold but I soon adjusted and had a really nice swim. As well as the beautiful surroundings, the service here is amongst the best I've ever encountered. Everybody from the reception, to the table waiting staff, to the guy who takes your luggage, were all so friendly and nice. This place is above our usual budget but we wanted to treat ourselves and are so glad we did. Massive thanks to everyone at Hotel Laurin for running such a special place.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in mid October and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Anything negative at the time (small indeed) is insignificant to me now as I write this review. From the moment we drove up to the entrance (car pick up at train station was booked through the hotel), I felt like I had stepped into a scene from Downtown Abbey (Italian style). It was raining and we were greeted with umbrellas at the car, with the reservation manager waiting at the steps for us. I’ve never had a better greeting at a hotel in all my travels. This hotel exudes Italian charm and friendliness in a way we have not experienced in Italy before. I wish I knew the names of each person who worked the front desk - all were equally friendly and helpful in every way. We ate breakfast every morning on the deck overlooking the pool and a great view of the lake. The buffet for us was more than adequate (and we didn’t even order an omelette). I loved being able to ask for my cappuccino first thing (the server was so sweet). Our room overlooked the pool and had a small balcony with a lake view. We sat by the pool one day for an afternoon drink and loved getting served there. I usually make it a rule to never go back to the same place twice, but I may have to make an exception for Hotel Laurin. I didn’t want to leave and wish we had booked our entire time in Italy right there in Salo at this hotel. Also, short and nice walk to the central part of town where you can catch the ferry to other towns.

Salo is the best town on Lake Garda & Hotel Laurin is the best place you could choose to stay. Professional, beautiful, and peaceful - we had the most relaxing and romantic time. The staff was incredible, the food and drink stunning. The breakfast daily felt like we were in a film. You get whisked away to another world while staying here - truly recommend it. We also got engaged here and will be returning again and again. It’s heaven.

We had the most lovely stay at Hotel Laurin. We were greeted outside on our arrival by caring, friendly staff and our cases were immediately taken to our room. From the minute we arrived to our departure we were made to feel very valued as guests and were shown every courtesy. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who were all genuinely kind, caring and smiley. Our room, a front lake view , was a beautiful, large traditional room, very comfortable with everything we needed. Supremely comfortable bed, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. They provided a turn down service too. The hotel building is outstandingly beautiful with a lovely outdoor pool and gardens. We dined in the evening and at breakfast. The food and service on both occasions was excellent. We will definitely return to this wonderful hotel.

Absolutely stunning art nouveau hotel. 10-15 mins walking from the center. Everything was excellent- specious modern room, a pool area, breakfasts with eggs menu, overall service. We stay often in 5 start hotels but here the cleaning service was exceptional- every time we weee back to our room, they cleaned it up a bit, towels were changed ect, but the same they were “invisible”. Personnel is super nice and friendly, ladies from reception, waiters, everyone. Now it’s our number one in Garda.

We picked Hotel Laurin in Salo, Lake Garda, for a week’s stay, and the minute we arrived we realised we’d made the perfect choice. The beautiful art deco interior of the hotel is truly amazing, a real work of art. It also has a lovely verandah where we had breakfast with a view of Lake Garda, spacious bedrooms and a picturesque terrace with swimming pool. But the icing on the cake is the impeccable service this hotel offers. The staff are extremely helpful, polite always smiling and always available to help. Breakfasts were superb, varied and served in the most beautiful surroundings. I cannot recommend Hotel Laurin highly enough for great service, great food and spotless interior and exterior
