PortAventura Hotel Colorado Creek - Theme Park Tickets Included

Designed/appointed much like the Disney version of an American lodge (in Colorado), the decor was a little cheesy, but the rooms and common areas were very clean, well maintained and spacious. Hot water, good water pressure, decent wifi, comfy beds, good AC... a good experience all around. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. Pool was clean and well maintained. Lifeguards had some kind of weird rule about not wearing sunglasses in the pool, but hey - your pool your rules. Food was decent. The park is a short 10-ish minute walk away, so very easily accessible. Entrance is included in the room rate. The park itself was packed with very long lines, so be prepared for that - but that's really a comment on the park, not the hotel, right? In short, a lovely experience at a fun little "American" style hotel in the heart of Tarragona.

Great hotel. Beautiful. Just like an american national park. A lot of details on the walls and on the ground. Great big beds and room. Good bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were great. A lot of variaty. Fresh. Nice staff. Just 10 minutes, nice walk, to the park. We will come back

2.5 star at best. No in room amentities like coffee or toiletries and ironing board. No coordinated shuttle from station. Either walk 30 min or need to call a cab in Spanish on your own. Try to do that in the heat. Food in the buffet is kid dorm food. Everybody has fast pass so it’s a joke at the park. Don’t pay extra as you won’t see a shorter line. Smokers everywhere with no shirts on. Still here for few days. Can’t wait to go back to Barcelona to the tourist trap there.

No towles ready to use in bathroom. No towels at pool. Disguisting pillow. No sheets on our bed. Bed bugs ! It was a real nightmare to stay here. Staff was absolutely not friendly. They just said we can't help you (this problems are in all our hotels !?!). For this prices absolutely a no go !

Most unhelpful and unfriendly reception , management and staff, rather spend your money were you going to be appreciated and valued. Everything that is asked for is a major effort for them to do as if you doing them a favor by staying on the hotel

Wow, this place is just gorgeous. We were welcomed warmly at the door, led straight to reception, fast check-in, cases put in luggage room until our room was ready and had our key cards so we could access the park immediately if we wished to do so. We spent the time walking around the hotel & grounds, which are fabulous and had a couple of cold beers. Great start to the holiday! We received a text a couple of hours later to say our room was ready and what a beautiful room it was. Spacious, immaculately clean, comfortable, 2 big beds, big tv, small fridge, bathroom with a massive shower and really efficient air conditioning. We were on a half board basis so needed to book our meals for each morning and evening. When you enter your hotel room there is a code on the dressing table - simply scan it with your phone and it enables you to choose your options for meal times and how to book them. We never had any problems getting the time slot we wanted and found we could go into the app any time and change it to a different time slot if we needed to. At breakfast you simply present your key card for scanning and at dinner show the code on your phone. The buffets for breakfast & dinner have masses of choice and high quality produce. You are allowed 40 minutes for breakfast and 1 hour for dinner. After our first dinner we wandered around the buffet and familiarised ourselves with exactly where everything was - this will save loads of time when it comes to your next meal. The buffets are run with excellent efficiency. You’re greeted at the door by a staff member who checks your booking, another member of staff leads you to your table and leaves a slip of paper on the table - this is then used by the next member of staff who takes your drink order, than another brings your drinks - it is run like a well oiled machine - very impressive. The walk to the park is fabulous - only a few minutes away through the Gold River complex (you can use all of the Gold River facilities as well as Colorado Creek) where you feel like you are in an old Western town. The atmosphere is amazing! Security at the Portaventura gate sometimes check your bag. You then just swipe your card key and you’re in the park. All staff in this hotel are excellent - friendly, efficient and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel - we had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back.

This hotel and park exceeded our expectations. The park is run very well and everyone is very helpful. The hotel was fantastic from start to finish. Check-in was a little bit of wait but smooth and friendly once you get to the reception person. There was always staff around to direct or answer questions. You can tell they have all been trained well and are there to help in any way. The initial room we were given had a cigarette smell (not their fault that people don't follow the rules) and they were able to move us to another room. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was super comfy. A/C worked great. Breakfast was fantastic with so much to choice. There are time slots to avoid overcrowding and we didn't feel rushed. Be sure to book your time slot as soon as you check-in (it is online). My daughter is Celiac and has a gluten free diet and they did an amazing job with bringing her the items she wanted to eat for breakfast. Lots of things to choose from. Inside the park she had less options but there were definitely places she could eat. The staff are very aware of how to serve gluten free food. Pool was great as well with a lifeguard. Overall I would say that our whole trip was fantastic. The hotel experience excellent, the staff amazing. I would maybe even say that Port Adventura is better suited for Celiacs than EuroDisney.

Hotel reception very slow when checking in. Not enough staff!!!!. Walked into room it smelt musty. I found the reason for this- mould was growing in the wardrobes. Bed sheets were dirty with bodily fluid stains on top sheet. Between the musty smell and the dirty sheets I had the worst sleep ever! AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!
