Four Seasons at Embarcadero was simply not worthy of a five-stars hotel. I’ve even completed a survey at the end of our stay which not the general manager reached out instead the administrative assistant. After my message revealing it was a generic response from her, she ghosted right after. Do you think that warranted five-stars for ghosting a guest that just stayed at your property? No. Obviously they simply do not care, which was an utter shame. In addition to that, the check-in process was a complete mess (checking in twice on the same day), room wasn’t ready close to 5pm (despite being asked by their team a couple of days when we will be arriving) and customer service simply was not that of five-stars. Sure, the suite was lovely and so were the corner views but despite how well done those points were - without customer service and being organized and on top of your game, it didn’t warrant five stars at all for a Four Seasons property. For such a pretty penny, this felt like highway robbery.

Great stay with a great in-house Indian chef at their restaurant. Food was excellent. Not a grandiose property but was excellent for a base for day trip around San Francisco and walking out in the city. Staff was excellent. Only minor quip would be that I supposedly got a 2 level upgrade on my room. However, the view of the room was horrible and on a relatively low floor. I guess you need a ”20 level” upgrade to get a nice room. That said, having booking through Amex FHR and having those benefits, it made the stay nice.

What a beautiful hotel, perfect location- stunning views & about a 25 minute walk to fisherman’s wharf. Staff were lovely & helpful & the room was perfect. Everything you could need, extremely clean & quiet. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again & will definitely recommend.

Overall a great urban hotel at which I’ve stayed a number of times. Despite not being a huge fan of the W brand (a bit too trendy as I age) the location and value are hard to beat. The service is friendly and attentive; the rooms are nicely appointed—I appreciate the Nespresso machine and decent toiletries. The restaurant has good, fresh food for breakfast and friendly and efficient service. On a stay last month I came down with Covid and ended up in my room for a week; the staff was very considerate about bringing deliveries and checking to make sure I had everything I needed. They would pack room service as “to-go” items but the food was still warm and tasty when it arrived, and with everything needed for a proper meal. Note that some of the lower floor rooms don’t have much of a view beyond looking at the side of a building next door, so if that’s of importance make sure to books a higher category room.

A very comfy affordable well located hostel . Great people there who run it and they go out of there way to help you out as much as possible. I would recommend this place to whoever are indenting to visit San Fran in the future. Its a great spot to be.

This hotel was a nice surprising in that it is close to the financial district (like a 5-minute walk). The rooms are a bit on the basic side, but definitely good enough for a few days. The hotel offers water bottles that you can refill.

If you love the experience of a European hostel with the comforts and convenience of an American lodging, this is the place to go. For starters, Space: the common room which I assume used to be a ballroom is very spacious and serves as dining as well.(btw, don’t miss the complimentary breakfast they offer in the morning.) the ample seating serves as a great atmosphere for meeting other people. While other people complain about how dated the decor is, I think it adds to the homeliness and novelty of it. Plenty of solo use bathrooms on each floor. And the beds are quite spacious. Location:it’s situated right next to Chinatown which is great for when you’re craving a quick Dimsum. It’s also a nice 15 minute walk to the piers. I would absolutely suggest using the trams to get to the west side of of San Francisco ie the bridge or presidio, but I’m a walker so it took me a good 1.5 hours which was a good workout. Staff: they were very friendly and informative as well as helpful so absolutely no complaints there. Security: I believe the doors stay locked after 1800 which require code or fob access. They make you wear a tag to identify you as a lodger which is added security. All in all a great experience, I would definitely come back here for my San Francisco trips.it’s by far one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in.

I booked for an emergency work trip. Hotel was near the office. When I arrived there were trash cans at the curb and it smelled terrible. Once inside there was a guest that wanted to go into the room they had rented to get a phone charger, and the counter clerk insisted it wasn't there. They went back and forth for several minutes before I was helped. The clerk said the room was the one I had booked and he'd go check again. We did the paperwork and went upstairs. Could barely fit through the elevator door with one suitcase and a backpack. I get to my room, the clerk searches it and hands me a key to my door and a fob to get in the front door. As I was there for work I sat down and set up my laptop and went to connect to the network. I work in healthcare and my computer refused to connect because it was an open network. Without the barest of security on the wifi, I could not connect to my VPN and work. I went down to the front desk and told them that I was there for a work trip and I was unable to work because their wifi didn't have adequate security. I was told it was ”standard wifi” and that I ”might get a refund, he didn't know”. I checked out 30 minutes after checking in, and they charged me for the full 6 nights at a total of $2600 because I didn't cancel within the 24 hour window (I booked 25 hours before) and they said I should have called and asked about the security of their wifi....Who thinks a business would have less security on their wifi than your home internet service?? I tried talking to the manager who insisted that they couldn't rebook the room (that's a lie) and it was my fault for not checking with them. Terrible service. They're hiding behind the 24 hour cancellation period which I had zero control over. As my company's HQ is in San Fran, I will be notifying our travel and finance departments of the filthy behavior of management and the facility to make sure none of our other employees book here.

No words for thanking this incredible staff and owners of this historical motor inn in Chinatown.I arrived November 22nd late at night and I was very welcomed. I remained there for 14nights.perfect for cleaning, kindness and perfect location well served by muni pubblico transport and near to a lot of places down Town in Frisco Incredible experience as said before in family ...abroad. My company paid for my two night stay. However I still want to leave a review of the hotel because of my very pleasant stay at the hotel. Right from walking into the lobby to the room, I felt very comfortable here being away from home. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Someone came to the room in 5 minutes to drop off coffee creamer after I called the front desk!! The bed was very comfortable and had big fluffy pillows. The corridors and lobby has a pleasant scent. No harsh cleaner smell. Again I would like to stress the friendly and helpful staff. Five out of five stars for sure.

I stayed at the Urban Hotel with my daughter for 2 nigths at the end of December 2022. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. The staff was nice. Viny at the front desk was particularly friendly and helpful. The room was small, but we knew it, it was very clean and the common bathrooms and restrooms were cleaned several times a day. I definitely recommand as the location is one of the best: just in front of China Town entrance! Bart is only a few blocks away, plenty or restaurants nearby, and safe location.
