Letto grande e comodo camera grande con tende male odoranti, personale gentile , sono rimasto bloccato in ascensore, camera rifatta dopo 3 giorni era una suite. Colazione buona. L'Hotel è meraviglioso come struttura ma è completamente in disuso, sembra che stanno attendendo un nuovo acquirente per ristrutturarlo tutto. Infatti la cucina è abbandonata, uso solo per colazione, ristorante con sala spettacolare e terrazza panoramica praticamente abbandonate allo sfascio. Bar inesistente , hanno messo una macchina caffè gratuita 24 ore nella Lobby .... Gravissimo che mi hanno obbligato a pagare 8 notti subito con carta di credito prima di vedere la stanza, infatti dopo 2 giorni me ne sarei andato ma non mi avrebbero rimborsato....... Nessun Hotel nella mia vita mi ha chiesto il pagamento anticipato al Check in per 8 notti, può succedere per una sola notte. Sconsiglio di andare se non viene ristrutturato.

Feels like a Five Star Hotel. Fabulous rooms. Clean Comfortable and Modern. €45 for a single great value. Was given a free upgrade and a drink at the bar FOC. Reception staff awesome. Would highly recommend. I never want to leave! Easy walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets.

Enjoyed 8 days at Hotel Do Mar. Its a minute from the beautiful clean sandy beach. The 70's styled hotel is built into the steep hillside. Access to the floors is therefore split between separate lifts at about floor 5. We found our rooms comfortable with good aircon. The rooms have a cottage style with dark wood windows, blinds, doors and cupboards The en-suite facilities looked relatively new and all functioned well. We found the hotel staff helpful and attentive. Covid rules were being carefully followed and the place was spotlessly clean. The buffet breakfast room and bar enjoy stunning views across the bay. The hotel garden has mature trees and lawn areas. The pool was clean and well maintained; plenty of sunbeds available. For families there are about 20 steps from the lower lift to the beach. The seafront is mainly pedestrian and level. Sesimbra is a quiet village. Aside from the excellent beach it has a working fishing harbour and the local restaurants have the freshest fish. This was a new find for us. Its about 35 minutes from Lisbon. There are some bus services from Sesimbra, but a car will be required to tour the area.

We stayed for 5 nights and found that the hotel was not at a 4 star rating standard. Good points: - We had a great view of the beach from our room - 2 min walk to beach Bad points: - a general lack of enthusiasm and purpose from staff at hotel. We found ourselves constantly waiting for things and would find out key information about the facilities as our stay rolled on. There was always lots of staff on reception but no one was doing anything. - They will nickel and dime you for everything, even the coffee capsule in your room! - large bed but uncomfortable - The hotel is stuck in a kind of early 2000’s time warp. I’m sure it was great back in the day but has fallen into disrepair. - shower and bathroom not cleaned to a high enough standard, mould visible. - breakfast was basic and not at a 4 star standard, eggs tasted like flour and bacon was processed. Sesimbra is a beautiful destination and if we had our time over again, we’d stay further down the beach at another hotel or Air B&B. You’re effectively paying for the view at this place but that’s about it.

We stayed there for 4 nights with the family, 6 adults, 2 kids and 1 baby. I just loved that place. Troia is obviously small but super charming and the hotel location is just perfect, next to the awesome beach which the kids loved. Staff was super helpful (I forgot my cell phone in the shuttle and they helped me find it back) and always friendly. Special thanks to the pool bar staff for mixing me so many gin drinks😂. I would 150% recommend it, thanks for a great stay.

Location is wonderful, and so is the whole building and surroundings. But comparing price/quality there is really something missing. We spent 3 nights in weekend High season, but there was no management at all.We had to wait more than 3 hours before we could have our room, although we send a mail to ask for an earlier check in than 16.00. Not possible, we have to waited till 16.15 . We have been in many 5 stars places all over the world, but never had this situation. Thanks to Mr Joao de Sousa we we're calm down. He treated and helped us later with everything, and that made our stay good. Our superior terras room was located perfect, clean and cool, but the decoration is for that price some dated. The bathroom very small and not really comfortable. In the adults pool only three umbrellas, to protect all the guests from the sun. sunbeds we're not very clean, and the pool towels, is really not done, in a 5 star Hotel member of the Leading hotels of the world. The quality of the breakfast was 3 stars, only 2 sorts of unripe fruit, and no fresh bread at all. We have had diner several times, at the fantastic Terras outside, but please put mores covering to protect people for the extreme sunburning. quality of the food was good, specially my fish was perfect prepared, and again I say, the very kind service of Mr Joao, David, and several other members of the restaurant was really touching. They did their job more than fantastic. So overall, the place has so many strong assets, location, building, history, surroundings, but some for us important details we're missing, and the feeling that there was no management to talk with, but the location is Portugal on it's best! Vista espetacular , casa espaçosa e bonita .

We had 3 nights in a T2 suite apartment, with a large living area with kitchen, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. The space was great and all areas have a small balcony. Beds were comfortable. There seemed to be a lack of furniture in the living area - no coffee table or side tables so we brought these in from the bedroom! The supply of equipment in the kitchenette was a bit odd too - no small coffee cups, HUGE pots and pans, no frying pan, only a kettle for making coffee so you'd have to bring instant coffee if you want one in the room... it just seemed strange. A very good breakfast was included. We didn't try the swimming pools - the outdoor one looked pretty green and the area wasn't very inviting. A pity. Otherwise the facilities are attractive and the staff mainly quite helpful. The ”amenities” in the bathroom consisted of a shampoo dispenser and a liquid soap dispenser (not very covid-aware!) and one individually wrapped soap for the basin. I wouldn't rush back to Troia for any reason (other than golf) but I guess this place is as good as any, although the surroundings are rather soulless and the nearby restaurants in the Marina leave a lot to be desired!
