I have stayed in multiple hotels in SH. Including The Conrad, Renaissance, Pudong Intercontinental and Maxx. Maxx is definitely a hotel with Character, Style, and Color. unlike your everyday & everywhere the same ‘typical 5* hotel’ it has many ‘caring’ features for a truly delightful experience. the flowery scent of the lobby area and the service coffee machine and tomatoes in the lobby, are just some of the small but very delicate warmth that I felt while staying at Maxx. the wooden floor in the room was very good too, especially with kids because carpet floors, how ever much you clean, it does have that raggedy smell with time. but not at maxx. The view? second to none obviously. the location? prime - right in front of the ferry to pudong. and 5-10mins from yuyuan gardens. Especially, the staff. I have had my share of rather unfriendly staff in China. But all of maxx’s staff were sooooo friendly and warm and kind. the door men (both Chinese and western person) - they helped us every time we went up and down the entrance stairs with our pram with the baby, and the check in staff were so caring too. And i see a lot of people complaining about the fact that the staff are not fluent in English. Bro, turn on your google translate man. you are half way across the Earth in China, and no where does it say anywhere ‘our staff are fluent in English’ - ‘when in Rome…’ - But to be fair, Maxx had multiple lady staff who were sufficient in English to my surprise, and she was really nice and helpful. (please give her a raise lol). Anyway I will definitely stay here again w/o even looking at other hotels in SH for sure. 10/10.

I booked the Wanda Reign for my wife's birthday and we had an incredible time staying at the hotel. The view of the river and other side was incredible, especially at night when the city lights up. The bed was clean and comfortable, and all amenities (bathtub, bathroom, tea+coffee) were top notch. The room itself was very spacious and a good spot to unwind and relax after busy days touring Shanghai.

It was an awesome location great views and scenery, coupled with excellent family and kids friendly facilities such as the indoor swimming pool, mini animal farm, indoor playground and many other outdoor activities. :) The services provided by the housekeeper, Bob, was fantastic. He is friendly, knowledgeable, considerate and very approachable. Will return again next time! 😊

The staff upgraded my room to the one with the windows which was very nice of them. The room was fine, the curtains won’t fully close though. The location is quite convenient to get around

臨時起意的崇明之行，隨意挑了一家價格親民的民宿，帶上娃就出發了。 推開古樸的大門，映入眼簾的是茅草頂的小木屋，然後是一個農家小院，院落裏面各種袖珍景觀，小橋，湖泊，萌寵，菜園……主人精心把小院打造成小橋流水的細膩江南水鄉風格。 孩子喜歡得不得了，和青年老闆一起打理水潭裡的茅草，和八旬奶奶一起給菜田鬆土拔草，再逗逗大鴨，時間一晃就到了晚上。 晚餐就在民宿吃了，直接從田間採摘的青菜和芹菜，還有本地的芋頭，簡單的食材經過廚師阿姨的巧手，美味可口。 沒想到，這是上海這個冬天最冷的一天，晚上温度低至零下七度，意外之喜是民宿貼心準備了電熱毯，一夜好眠。 早餐過後，在民宿和大家嘮嘮家常，廚師阿姨曾經是某保險公司的金牌銷售，是個思維活躍，手腳麻利，伶牙俐齒的能人。 有個行動不便但慈眉善目，對我和孩子非常好的奶奶，前一天孩子玩水把襪子弄濕了，她給孩子一雙新襪子換上，我臨走時説準備去街上買崇明糕，她把冰櫃裏切好的糕絲送個我，讓我心裏暖暖的。離別時，她久久站在門口，和我們揮手，直到我們的車子繞到對岸，走遠後，才看到她慢慢回去，落寞的身影，突然間有點鼻子酸酸…… 這趟原本普通的小小旅行，因着這個長者而變得温暖。

服務： 跟朋友一起約迪士尼，第一天落地浦東機場已經凌晨了，老闆服務非常好，大半夜過來接機（接機是有償哈，但比網約車便宜！），會提前聯繫告訴準確的位置，到了停車場告訴老闆我們人在哪，來的超級快，轉個頭就上車了😂第二天因為買了早享，六點半又要出門，老闆有兩輛車，其中一輛剛出去送前一批出門的客人，本來是要等回來再接送我們結果老闆怕我們來不及，就讓老闆娘直接開另一輛車送我們了，路程就8分鐘左右，順便一提，老闆娘做的雞蛋餅真的很好吃🤤結束一天的遊玩之後老闆會持續聯絡來接我們，也會告訴我們先到哪裡坐車，兩站路下車後老闆車就在車站等，非常順利！第三天因為頭一天迪士尼玩的太累早上沒有起來吃早餐，中午退房的時候老闆娘怕我們在路上餓，又給我們弄了點吃的填肚子，然後老闆把我們送到地鐵站，直接就能到市中心！🤓 環境： 迪士尼周邊的民宿其實都是一棟一棟的小樓，在一眾小樓裏，雲致算是非常顯眼的，很好找，室內的環境可看圖片，無濾鏡無PS直出，房間裏很乾凈，該有的都有，老闆還會提前發送房間內設施的使用方法（比如智能馬桶Wi-Fi密碼等等），全身鏡，化粧鏡這些都非常適合女孩子住，回家路上跟朋友還在聊，民宿的床墊不軟不硬，睡的剛好，兩個枕頭也可以根據自己的高度需求使用，並且後來也特地跟老闆説過房間裏可以增加一些枱麪置物的空間，老闆可以參考哦～😜 我是個出門旅行遊玩非常注重“住”這個方面的人，也算是比較挑剔的，住民宿，店家和客人之間的相互溝通和相互理解很重要，這一點雲致給我的感覺真的很好，下次來一定還會再次入住雲致！🤭

冒雨帶父母孩子來玩 還好定的這家民宿非常滿意。 老闆娘的早餐清爽可口 老闆儒雅大氣服務意識很強。親子房間在一樓 雨天比較潮濕 室內有除濕機 按摩儀貌似是擺設 不能用。第一天去了東林寺 下午就在茶室喝茶聊天 長者家很開心。第二天終於雨停啦，老闆給的政府部門的展館套票遊玩一下 不累寫意。 餐飲在金山也是我再來的原因 黃魚麪一絕 海邊小海鮮新鮮，烹飪做法也合口味，且不貴。 2日小憩圓滿結束 帶爸媽孩子輕鬆不累！

金山楓憬酒店雖然規模不大，但酒店待人熱情，從大堂前台，到客房服務、餐廳服務處處充滿了人情味。從2019年起，每年暑期我們（倆老一小）來金山城市沙灘遊玩，楓憬酒店是我們唯一的選擇，除了2022年夏天因疫情防控該酒店未對外營業之外，今年是我們入住楓憬酒店的第五年，一如既往地感受到酒店的温馨氛圍，讓人收穫滿滿，賓至如歸！

去崇明還是住民宿比較實惠 民宿在靠近江邊的村子裏，第一次住木質結構天花板的房子，在整幢房子的頂上，感覺很新奇。陽台很長，可以看到邊上的橋，漁船，周圍有綠化，有農民的菜地。空氣是不錯的，吹着微風很舒服。房間打掃的很乾凈，配的枕頭有點高，問老闆要了低的枕頭也有。

WOW, the hotel and staff are incredible. We have stayed at the Peace Hotel several times over the years and have always been well taken care of. This time was even more special as we got engaged here! I reached out to staff, who were more than accommodating in helping me plan the perfect proposal. A huge appreciation to Lily, Gordon, and the whole Fairmont Gold team for going above and beyond in making our stay one we will always remember. We stayed in the American Suite, and it was pure old world charm. Having stayed in luxury hotels world wide, I can truly say that this hotel and service is one of a kind! We can't wait for our next stay!
