My husband and I have now stayed at Hotel Garden Siena a couple of times, first earlier this year, and then during our wedding period in August 2023. We had our wedding in Florence but hosted our welcome dinner for wedding guests at Hotel Garden Siena, and had many of our guests staying there throughout our wedding period. Gianluigi and his team were absolutely phenomenal, and went above and beyond to make our stay and the stay of our guests perfect. The welcome dinner in the downstairs space was stunning, the staff were amazing and the food was so good. The views from the hotel are wonderful and the rooms make for a very comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, strong water pressure, and a lovely breakfast. There was plenty of parking and it's really easy to get into Siena from the hotel. We are so so grateful for the whole team, and want to thank them and Gianluigi for making our wedding period so special.

Lovely bright, clean room, (we upgraded to a balcony 10euros) Nice toiletries and a great breakfast ! Receptionists we’re very polite and extremely helpful with directions and suggestions of traditional places to eat.

Su Via Fiorentina non c'è nessun cartello che indichi l'ingresso della struttura e questo è il primo problema. Per trovare l'entrata abbiamo dovuto fare una telefonata e farsi spiegare dove fosse l'accesso carrabile. Una volta oltrepassate le due colonne di riferimento, proseguendo, siamo giunti su quello che veniva definito da uno striscione mal legato ad una rete metallica sorretta da pali di ferro, ”Parcheggio ospiti di Villa Patrizia”. Davanti a noi, oltre lo striscione, dopo un vialetto pedonale, una struttura vetusta e fatiscente. Io e mia moglie ci siamo guardati l'un l'altro increduli della situazione nella quale ci trovavamo sperando che la struttura ricettiva non fosse quella, invece ci sbagliavamo; siamo scesi dirigendosi verso una porta aperta, posta alla sinistra dello pseudo-parcheggio, alla ricerca di qualcuno che ci desse delle spiegazioni. In una ”stanzicchia” abbiamo trovato una ragazza che dopo averci chiesto i documenti ha fatto il check-in invitandoci successivamente a seguirla. Per arrivare alla camera con tutti i bagagli a mano abbiamo percorso una settantina di metri in un vialetto e salito tre rampe di scale piuttosto ripide. Vi confesso che quando sono giunto alla nostra stanza avevo il fiatone! Fortunatamente la camera, con le pareti in cartongesso si presentava abbastanza bene, anche se con vista finestra su un cantiere, un wc chimico e tante erbacce. La tavola del wc aveva un perno di fissaggio rotto e quindi creava problemi. Inoltre per far arrivare l'acqua calda ho dovuto farla scorrere per tre o quattro minuti e di notte non è il massimo. La porta del bagno cigola e di notte sveglia chi sta dormendo. Oramai c'eravamo e un pò angosciati ci siamo rimasti, ma tu che stai leggendo sei ancora in tempo, quindi pensaci.

Come da titolo, vacanza a Siena e dintorni in assoluto relax grazie a questo hotel. Punti di forza: - Camera non particolarmente spaziosa ma pulitissima e silenziosa, con ampio e più che confortevole letto con vari cuscinoni molto comodi; bagno nella media per lo spazio dei sanitari . Aria condizionata efficiente e ben regolabile. - Tutto la struttura in generale è pulita e piacevole. - La hall è grande. - La colazione è uno DEI MUST di questa struttura con vastissima scelta di pietanze tra dolce e salato tutte freschissime ed espresse. - Il personale è sempre gentile e disponibile. - Parcheggio gratuito pubblico a 30 metri. - Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. -Centro storico a 5 minuti d'auto -Fermata bus accanto -Posizione: Hotel Vico Alto è perfetto per partire alla scoperta sia di Siena che delle citta vicine come Monteriggioni, San Gimignano verso nord e tutta l'area sud quale pienza montalcino o Montepulciano. Inoltre l'hotel è vicino sia alla stazione del treno che all'ospedale le scotte. Cose da migliorare: - Dal momento che tutto l'hotel si dichiara ”Smoking Free” sarebbe consigliabile, nelle aree esterne DELIMITARE una zona per fumatori, possibilmente un po' più lontana dell'ingresso e dalla zona di passaggio . . - Nella nostra camera, nonostante il TV LCD fosse molto grande e posizionato correttamente si trattava di un accessorio quasi inutile data la limitatissima scelta di canali (solo digitale terrestre). Sarebbe consigliabile tv satellitare e on demand (anche come optional a pagamento). -In alcuni momenti della giornata per via delle ristrutturazioni in corso c'era un via vai di lavoratori (sarebbe bene delimitare il loro orario).

This hotel has been very tastefully designed and decorated. It feels modern with excellent attention to period detail. The hotel is housed in an excellently refurbished villa, so has the atmosphere of a small exclusive residence. There is a pleasant outdoor space with comfortable seating and shade. It is easy to walk into the centre, takes about 15 minutes. Free parking in the area is a bonus. The room was small, but as a single room it was fine. The bathroom was one of the best I have ever encountered in an hotel. The shower was perfect and the actual fittings; taps, toilet etc were the sort of thing I would choose for my own home! COVID-19 procedure: hand sanitiser available, mask wearing enforced, rooms appeared well prepared and cleaned. Breakfast is served to you, from a choice which you fill in on a form the day before. A good choice of the usual breakfast foods is available. The dining area is delightful. Staff were friendly and very efficient. This hotel is excellent value for money.

It was a wonderful stay. Pros: * The rooms are very spacious and have beautiful views * Breakfast was good, plenty of options but till 10am on weekdays. And they really start taking away all the food at 10am. * Right in the center of the city, you can walk anywhere * They keep your suitcases after checkout. I asked them if I can come back for them later that day, and they were nice and kept them. Cons *No coffee machine in room. They do have a fridge though. *No iron in room but they do have an ironing room *No parking, but down the street there is free parking, a 8 min walk. I easily found a parking at 10.30pm

The rooms are well equipped with a fridge and a hairdryer. The staff is very friendly, especially at the breakfast which offers a varied buffet. In front of the breakfast room there is a beautiful olive grove. The swimming pool is fine. It is situated with a panoramic view of the outskirts of Siena. The rooms on the street side suffer from traffic especially during the rush hour as the street is used as a shortcut to the Siena-Firenze highway. So the place is ideal for car trips around Tuscany. If you just want to visit Siena it is rather far, the old town is about 4 km from the hotel and the train station is about 1.5 km downhill. The next supermarkets are 5 min by car. The car park is huge and free of charge.

What a lovely property in a unique setting! Our check in was smooth but after a long day of travel and storm Ciaran delays we would have appreciated being able to get into our room to relax for a moment before being made to recite each item we might want for breakfast the following day! That being said, breakfast was truly excellent. We enjoyed the lovely cakes and cappuccino immensely. Our room was not nearly as spacious as those in Florence and Rome, but it was rustic and comfortable just the same. We were anxious to have a cold drink after a long travel day but unfortunately the fridge did not work. Staff responded quickly but instead of a quick swap, they chose to turn it upside down for several hours. It was only a minor inconvenience but certainly would have been better checked before guests arrive! We definitely appreciated the comfortable bed and quality linens. And for hot water and pressure, the shower is one of the best we have experienced anywhere in the world! The most incredible disappointment for us was reading all of the marketing hype about ”family” and ”service” and ”attention to detail” and yet not a single person introduced themselves. Not ever over a six day stay. Furthermore, we had advance correspondence about choosing Borgo Grondaie for our 40th anniversary. Not a single mention of our anniversary even though they were aware. (Well wishes or a glass of Prosecco would certainly be the norm in Canada.) This may be something not done in Italy but it would have been easy and free for the hotel staff to do. The most unacceptable was the fact that never were we called by our names! Not even once. Not ever. Not one time! Doing what all the marketing says they do would have gone a long way to make this a memorable stay. Instead what we will remember is a ”promise” that was not fulfilled.
