Margi House

The room was rather small and kitchen facilities sparse. Hot water was not available for showers most evenings. The area is nice with several good restaurants in walking distance BUT the hotel is situated at the top of a very long steep hill. The beach and bus stop are also nearby but walking to them is not recommended if you have to carry any equipment back up the hill. We ended up having to hire a car for the few days we spent there. The Manager was very helpful but is only on site for a few hours each day

I don’t normally write reviews but I thought I must. We have just returned from a week at Margi house . If you want stunning views , spotlessly clean but authentic Greek apartments this place is for you. We were met by Andreas who was very welcoming he was on hand throughout the holiday with information , always being happy and helpful. We even had a room upgrade as I had mentioned in a previous email that it was our wedding anniversary, lovely touch. Margi house is near to lovely restaurants ( Argento being our favourite that is 5 minute walk) supermarkets and Koilis beach ( there are many beaches in walking distance , all of which are beautiful) and the bus stop (public transport is brilliant and cheap) The days we stayed around the pool my family mostly had it to ourselves, no rushing to get sun beds , pure relaxation. The only slight negative was the short but steep hill to get to the apartments but most of the apartments and hotels are built on hills here , that’s what makes it so beautiful, you also get a nice breeze and stunning views , so worth it . Also a pool/snack bar would be a great addition, those two things are the only thing stopping me from giving it 5*s . We are planning on coming back . Thank you Margi house for an amazing holiday , one we will never forgot !

Fabulous two bed room with pretty balcony overlooking lawn swimming pool and the sea. Fridge Kettle and Nespresso Machine. room and bathroom cleaned daily and beds made. Pegs provided to hang towels on balcony and Manager extremely friendly and helpful.

A wonderful 10 night stay at Margi House. Bed was very comfortable. Air con was blissful. Cleaned really well daily with fresh towels. Swimming pool was exceptional. Loads of sunbeds & cleaned daily. Andreas at Margi House was exceptional. Ordering taxis and giving us lots of local knowledge The free nespresso coffee was bonus. A few bars/restaurants within easy walking that were great.

We had a very good stay here- we had two rooms over our three day stay, both equally charming and comfortable. The staff were helpful, particularly on the first night when our plane was delayed. We liked the location, a short walk from bus stop fifteen, about 15 mins by bus from town. The short sharp hill meant lovely views. Tavernas and a small shop for essentials were conveniently nearby. All in all good value

Really nice place - with great accomodation - Linen/towels changed every two days - very clean and quiet Rooms are decent size with fridge/ cooking equipment and safe Unfortunately we had a problem with the swimming pool for the second week. The first week the pool was crystal clear and very good- no one else using it so it felt like we were in a private garden. Overnight after a storm the pool turned green and murky. Depsite pointing this out to the reception nothing was done to sort this problem out for the last week of our visit so we had no pool at all. We did receive some refund but that is not the point. On a hot day you need the pool. I guess as it was comong up to end of season that they were just not going to bother to do anything about it

Pros: - nice garden - nice view to the garden, pool and sea - clean rooms, although dated - friendly reception and staff - no coffee machine available in the room, but was provided as a special service to us upon request Cons: - pool unusable due to bad condition of the water during most of our stay - jaccuzi closed (not usable) during the whole duration of our stay - price not justified given these shortcomings - very steep driveway leading up to the hotel, not recommended for elderly/not sporty people/people with heavy luggage, on foot - transfer to the port after checkout was not provided as a service of the hotel, although this had been expressly confirmed upon booking - we were therefore forced to pay 20 euros for a taxi called by the hotel

We have stayed here at Margi House about 4 times now and always had a lovely holiday here. Rooms are quite basic but spotlessly clean, thanks to Spiros and his wife, who cleaned the studio everyday with sheets and towels change every 2 days. The views from the studio are just beautiful, down towards Kolios beach and the sea beyond. Woken up to each morning by the daily chorus of Cicadas....thats the Greece we know and love. So peaceful relaxing by the pool and some days had it all to ourselves. Thanks again to Pepi and the team for another fabulous stay.

liked that beds were made every day and room cleaned and that we wernt woken up for the cleaning oo early in the morning disliked that lighting to steps down to road and outside rooms wernt on early enough and at times were in darkness disliked that swimming pool turned green after 8 days of a 14 day holiday and couldnt be used again
