It was a nice hotel, close enough to a lot of recreational activities but far away enough to be quiet. Breakfast buffet was good and affordable. Convenience was attached to the building so you have everything you need. 😊

The amount I paid for our three days staying at the hotel paid off. Its cleanness and amenities were excellent, its location to the nearby restaurant was very convenient. The ocean view was phenomenal. Parking guide was there 24/7 and I liked it very much. The front desk girls were very nice and polite. I strongly recommend this place to anyone. Five stars rated plus

The most fully fitted out hotel room we have ever been in with included stove, full size fridge and freezer, and a WASHING MACHINE. View for this particular room was away from the lake/harbour and towards the northeast, so no direct sunrise.

Was really looking forward to my stay at the Kensington Hotel Seorak. But when I pay $263AU / night I have a certain expectation that a 4 star hotel will live up to the hype. The service at the check-in desk and in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel itself exudes 'history' and it was interesting spending time looking at the library, hallways and various displays on offer. The menus were adequate for our stay and we spent 29000KRW on the chicken and beer offer on the first night and the steak and wine (120000KRW) on the second night. Breakfasts were 29000KRW/pp or 10% off if you book at check-in were also value for money. However several aspects let the hotel down. Hot water was hard to get - I tried for an afternoon shower and again at midnight with no luck. Larger hotels in Korea tend to have central control over the air conditioning, so if you like a cool room you'll be out of luck by October?? Even having the small window open, and turning of the 'air conditioning, the room was stuffy. Having found a laundry bag and order form I was told that the hotel no longer offered that service. Disappointing. The towels were worn / frayed on the edges (they've passed their useabe date) and though the hotel room we were in had a great view the windows were so grubby it was hard to really enjoy the view. While I appreciate COVID has had an impact on the hotel industry generally, I'm pretty certain that the Kensington, with its views and proximity to Seoraksan, faired better than most. While I would stay here again I would like to think that for prime pricing the Kensington could up its game and ensure that such small issues were addressed.

Regular getaway hotel in Gangwondo for my family. Great all day dining with friendly service. Public transportation is a bit limited in service hour.

We booked the Premier Suite which have a very good sea view. My family and i felt very comfortable and it comes with 2 bathroom. Love the living room and balcony so much! The downsides are no dryer and cutlery provided.

조용한 주말을 위해 선택한곳입니다. 바다가 아닌 산과 숲이 가까워서 새로운 느낌으로 좋았습니다. 다만. 오래된 건물이라 화장실에서 올라오는 냄새가 방까지 납니다. 침대도 토퍼 없이 바로 매트리스라 불편합니다. 다른방 컨디션은 어떨지 모르겠습니다. 이점만 빼면 숲에서 지내는 느낌이 참 좋았습니다. 건물과 가까운 주차장은 좁아요.

Lokasi adalah di sebelah laut dan kami tinggal di bilik pemandangan laut dengan balkoni jadi ia adalah bagus untuk bersarapan dan minum kopi di balkoni tetapi semasa pantai hujung minggu mempunyai ramai orang yang sangat bising kerana mereka membuat bunga api sepanjang malam yang sangat bising dan sukar untuk tidur membuka tingkap walaupun kita boleh mendengar bunyi bising walaupun menutup tingkap. Peralatan tempat tidur bilik adalah peralatan tempat tidur gaya korea yang bermaksud tanpa sarung dan cadar. Ia agak terkejut kerana kami melihat gambar ketika kami memesan mereka mempunyai cadar putih sama seperti yang lain. Apabila kami memberitahu mereka, mereka selalu seperti ini dan pencen lain juga seperti mereka. Jadi kita tidak mempunyai pilihan. Mereka mempunyai kemudahan dapur bermakna jika ingin memasak ia mudah. Kami membuat sarapan kami sendiri di dalam bilik yang bagus.
