Hotel Central Wellness

We had originally booked a hotel up in the mountain then decided to change to this hotel to be walking distance to the town. God that was the best decision! I am such a fussy person when it comes to hotel standards & I have to say reading the reviews I was a bit unsure what to find on arrival. This hotel from the moment we walked in the door really surprised me. The reception team were lovely & welcoming explaining everything. The room ( we are still here) is just so spacious & lovely having a nice balcony. We booked a premium room for our family of 4. We had welcome drinks on arrival plus a selection of cakes & biscuits. Slippers & dressing gowns for all of us and so many toiletries of everything you can think of. Yes there is a hairdryer in the bathroom - very obvious, some people have previously commented as there being none. The pool area is lovely & the kids loved the fact it was a very deep pool. Breakfast also is absolutely perfect and topped all the time by the staff constantly bringing out fresh food. The location is literally a 10 minute walk to the main square. The street has so many shops and restaurants nearby and can highly recommend the Thai restaurant directly opposite the hotel we went here twice it was that good. Also definitely the Italian 2-4-6 Cucina again just down the road- best Tiramisu I’ve ever had. Looking back I am so glad we were not stuck up in one of the mountain hotels relying on buses. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

A lovely option to stay if you want to visit the Amalfi coast! Localizated in the heart of Sorrento and just 25 minutes ride from Positano! The rooms are big and the breakfast is very good. Pool and the view are incredible. A special thanks to Cynthia and Francesco for all the tips and nice places recommended. Will come back one day!

We stayed here for 5 nights in early June. Pros: - Overall a clean hotel. Maids cleaned our rooms daily, I saw maids cleaning the general public areas of the hotel too. -Staff friendly and helpful -Good selection for breakfast. Scrambled egg and fried egg (ready made), pastries, beans, cold meats, cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc. It wasn't busy either so we always got a table right away. -Complimentary prosecco bottle in our room upon arrival was a nice touch -The walk to the main square of Sorrento was about 12-15mins, all along one road. The bus station/Train station walk was similar too -Spacious room, toiletries provided in bathroom.- -Nice pool / sunbathing area. Pool was quite cold however it was still nice to have -Great gym next door. It is not the hotels own gym but a public gym that the hotel guests can use for free. Cons: - Whenever our toilet was flushed, the water would just continue to run from the cistern, resulting in having to flush again a few mins later. - The bathroom sink drainage was not very good and tended to fill up a lot quicker then water could be drained (despite the tap on low) - Could hear neighbours having shower / toilet flushing in the early hours. The pipework seemed to be quite loud / thin walls. -We had an early departure on our final day. Our taxi was coming to pick us up at 6-45am, which was before the regular breakfast opened. When we asked the night before, the night staff said all they could make was coffee for us, and there no option of a small packed breakfast, despite what it said in the Hotels own in-room information leaflet which I have attached. -We were on the 5th floor and the lift only goes up to the 4th floor. Not too much of an issue as we are young but not ideal for older people. Overall for the price, location, I think this is a reasonably good hotel.

We stayed at this hotel with Gate 1 tours. Wonderful choice and location! Within 10 minutes walking to the downtown shops and not far from the Bay of Naples. Hotel is modern with a lounge area in the lobby great for gathering. It has a pool outside that is very well kept

This place was great! From the Air Conditioning to getting information from the front desk to the breakfast with Catarina! She needs to know how wonderful she is! She rocks and rolls the breakfast! She even would fill up my huge water bottle before we left for the day! The food was great as well! My husband says this was his favorite out of all the hotels we stayed on our trip! The location is great and the views form the terrace up top were breathtaking!

I have this hotel a rating of 3 out of 5 as I think it’s lacking in a few things as a 4* hotel. The hotel is very well kept and the staff that we encountered were all lovely. Catarina who works in the breakfast restaurant is lovely and goes out of her way to make your experience a pleasant one. There is plenty of choice at breakfast which is available from 7am-10pm, so handy if you need to be up early for an excursion. The reception staff are too very pleasant. Other reviews stated a welcome drink was offered on arrival but we were not offered one…possibly because we arrived late? We had a queen size room which was very small but I was very grateful to be away from the very noisy, main road! The room lacked storage place for clothes and although there was space to hang shirts, there was nowhere to hang dresses or longer garments. I think for a 4* hotel, tea and coffee making facilities should be available in the rooms…I’ve had this is all other 4* hotels…even 3* hotels in the past. We also had no balcony which we really missed…just somewhere to sit at the end of the evening…we also had nowhere to dry swimwear or towels after a day at the pool! The first pool towel is complimentary…if you put it in the laundry bin after the first use…there is a charge of €3 for another one. We only spent one day at the pool so this wasn’t an issue but if you’re planning on visiting the pool more than once…Keep your towel. The pool side bar is very reasonable…we never purchased food there, but what we saw looked really good. Theres plenty of sunbeds…regardless of what time you get to the pool. Lots of umbrellas are available too. The roof terrace is nice and quiet and you can have drinks bought up from the bar if you want. The location of the hotel is situated on a main road where the traffic never stops…ever! It’s about a 15/20 min walk to the main centre of Sorrento but there are shops/bars etc on the main road. The footpaths are very narrow so it is quite a precarious walk at times! The train centre is easily accessible which we used to get to Pompeii and the prices are so cheap.
