Hotel Kathmandu dengan Spa

Clean. Nice selection of breakfast. The concierge was professional and helpful. The valet staff was very helpful with the taxis. The reception desk staff was not quite familiar with his work. 1. Couldn’t find my booking. 2. Miscalculated the number of nights to stay 3. Didn’t realize the room was prepaid and was going to charge again. But he acknowledged his mistakes.

We knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to. On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic. As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace! Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection. We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe. There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly. The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. If you're staying in Kathmandu, this hotel is a good choice. The best thing about it is that it's a new hotel (opening in 2024). Everyone, including the staff, spa staff, and breakfast staff, is very cooperative. Also, everything is well-maintained, including the showers and toilets in the rooms, Wi-Fi, electronic key cards, and internet TV. I'm sorry to say that other hotels tend to be a little older, with broken, slightly dirty, or non-working electronic devices. While it's true that older hotels have gardens and great locations, they can't compare to newer facilities. The breakfast had a nice view, too. 私は海外在住の日本人です。お子様連れの方には静かで落ち着いてるこのホテルを薦めます。もちろん一人旅も。

Everything was very good. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant was very good. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. The only downside — and I’m sorry to say this — is the nightclub next door, which made it difficult for me to sleep. Every night, the music went on from the evening until five in the morning. The hotel management should consider taking action regarding the nightclub, as it significantly affects guests’ ability to rest.

The hotel isn’t in a touristy area, so there’s not much to see around, but that also means it’s quiet and only about 10–15 minutes from the airport. The room was clean and comfy with a nice view, and the rooftop infinity pool was amazing — perfect spot for couples to chill and enjoy the sunset. The restaurant was okay, and the staff were super nice and helpful. The gym is small but has enough equipment for a quick workout. I also tried their massage service — really good and great value for money. Overall, a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Great choice if you want somewhere peaceful but still convenient!

Nice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve. Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all. The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great. 2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges. Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience. Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days. Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern. Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager. A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.

The room made a decent first impression and did the bare minimum. But, it quickly became clear that it’s best suited for a very short stay. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, the room is fine if you’re just passing through, but anything longer starts to feel like stretching it. Staff presence around the hotel was limited. They clearly run on a lean operation, which can go either way. The guard in front of the elevator stood out in the best possible way and added a genuinely warm, human touch, which helped balance things out. At check-in, I was given two complimentary cocktail coupons for the upstairs bar, which immediately lifted my spirits. This was a place I had enjoyed many times before and often recommended to friends and family. I had good memories of the atmosphere, the food, and the general vibe, so I went in with high hopes. In the past I had written raving 5-star reviews of their restaurant food and amazing service! Unfortunately, the experience that followed didn’t live up to those expectations. What should have been a simple, enjoyable night out unraveled into confusion and unwelcoming interactions. Small moments piled up, the mood shifted, and it became clear that the experience had gone off the rails. Rather than force it, my group and I decided to take our time and money elsewhere. Sometimes you read the room and move on. I returned to the hotel later that night and stayed over. Took a hot shower in the morning, loved the smell of their body wash, btw! Another brief interaction during checkout reinforced the same theme: rigid, abrupt, and lacking the kind of hospitality that makes guests feel welcome. All in all, it’s disappointing to see a place I once enjoyed and freely recommended lose its consistency and warmth. I’m no longer comfortable recommending it, and I’m not sure I would choose to return. As for the unused cocktail coupon, I still have it. Any takers?

酒店服務非常專業，早餐豐富，前台服務熱情周到。説要水，很快就送來了。而且酒店裡面有電吹風，洗澡熱水非常舒適。 很多中國人到其他地方找中餐吃，結果發現最正宗的中餐在酒店樓上九層。而且這裏的巧克力布朗尼，非常正宗。原本應該是和冰淇淋一起吃，我提出來要吃熱的，酒店立即做了熱呼呼的冰激凌。酒店旁邊有個加德滿都最大的農貿市場，6個大蘋果，衹要不到20元人民幣。這裏什麼蔬菜水果都能買到。 因為加德滿都經常堵車，如果銜接航班，酒店離機場很近，這又是一大優勢。

After several trips to Nepal, I finally decided to treat myself with a stay at the famous Kathmandu Guest House. So glad I did. So much peace, grace, charm and beauty .. and of course, the history!

Comfortable and functional hotel, weithin walking distance from the airport. Very recommended for short stays. Good breakfast with fruit and warm options.
