Luxury Rooms MA de Dominis

Ma rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. There is one uncomfortable item in that the sliding door to the bathroom area is clear glass that I walked into three times, but that's mostly on me! The uncomfortable part is that if you are using the throne you must be sure your roommate is out of sight. If you have mobility issues, let it be known that the stairs to the rooms are narrow and steep.

While this property is in a lovely location, please be aware that the staff does NOT knock before entering your room and will enter at random even when you are in your room. This can be extremely upsetting and made me feel very unsafe in this hotel.

What a gem of a find in the heart of Old Town Split! The best welcome imaginable from Gordon, Ivana & Luka who couldn’t do enough to make us feel at home & looked after. The rooms are hidden off a side street in the heart of the town and absolutely delightful inside. Stylish, authentic, comfortable & cool with the original stone & features making them really wow!!! Probably Split’s best kept secret. We’ll be back for longer very soon!!

A wonderful experience staying in this gorgeous room. The double glazing on the windows keeps all the sound out and the views into the courtyard re magical. Ivana really looked after us and was available if we needed anything. The only suggestions would be for restaurants recommendations with less expensive meals, and to increase privacy on the bathroom door. Otherwise I’d highly recommend, and would stay again.

If you asked me what I didn't like about this accommodation the answer would be simple - leaving. Well, there are steep stairs but they were worth the climb. We loved everything about Ma de Dominis. The host was so nice and helpful and clearly has worked hard to make these apar**ents as beautiful as the photos. Everything is modern and tasteful, there's a fridge with soft drinks and nuts included, the towels are big and fluffy and the bed very comfortable. There's even a hand held steamer for your clothes. Breakfast is at a nearby cafe and we enjoyed going there each morning. The location was perfect for us, right in the heart of everything, with lots of restaurants and cafes. Taxis can only take you so far, so there's a little walk involved with luggage through the narrow streets but its worth it to stay here. In fact, if you don't have that much luggage, don't bother with a taxi and get the airport bus as it drops you off not far from where any uber/BOLT cab would. We arrived on a Wed and really noticed how much busier the area got on the weekend, so book any restaurants or ferries you might want to use beforehand. We can't wait to go back.

Ivana, the host, has a fantastic place. She has thought through every detail in creating this amazing place. Location is also right in the heart of the city. Great place and even better host! Two thumbs up!

Ivana, the owner was amazing from the beginning to the end! Helped us with our luggage up the stairs, recommended and made reservations for dinner for us. Even paid our restaurant bill when for some reason our card didn’t go through and they contacted her. She didn’t bother to tell us that night and just mentioned it casually the next day. We paid her back of course. Her place is immaculate and charming, and the location can’t be beat! Smells nice too and just steps away from Diocletian’s Palace.

My wife & I stayed here for 3 nights…this is a first class accommodation, in a first class location with first class hosts. The room itself is super contemporary and super modern while maintaining some of the original brick work - it’s amazing and has been configured to a very very high standard. We highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Split…ticks all boxes 👍👍👍

An exceptional property right in the heart of the Old City. Beautifully appointed, exceptionally clean, very quite, lovely and cool. Ivana and her husband were perfect hosts. We have already recommended to all our friends and family. You won’t be disappointed.
