Cari Hotel 2-Star di Nikko

We had a great stay with Yoshiko-san. She was warm and friendly and gave us great tips and recommendations. The house is very conveniently located near the major temples, Kanmangafuchi abyss, and the bus route. The house was also very comfortable, a taste of real Japanese living!

We loved our stay here! The onsen is so delightful- a nice view of the river to enjoy while you soak. I wanted to keep the turtle print pajamas- very cute. The breakfast was good and the snacks and tea were perfect for us when it rained. The location is not far from the bus stop, restaurants, and the amazing wonderful jiro statues.

Burası cennetten bir köşe gibi. Otelin sahibi Masao ve eşi çok sıcak ve yardımsever insanlar. Odalar çok temiz ve japon tarzında. Gelmeden önce ryokan kültürünü araştırmanızı öneririm. Nehrin kenarında kendine has kaplıcası ve bu kaplıca hem kapalı hem de açık olarak 2 farklı şekilde hizmet veriyor. İkisini fr kullanabiliyorsunuz. Tokyoda hızlıca geçirdiğim 3 günden sonra gerçekten dinlendirici ve ferahlatıcı bir yer oldu. Masao ile saatlerce yaptığım sohbet de çok aydınlatıcı oldu. Üstelik çok güzel sake ve şarapları var. Masao ve ailesine çok teşekkür ederim. Ayrıca bu otel pride of orange animesindeki ana karakterin evi olarak resmedilmiş. Otelin bazı noktalarını animede görebiliyorsunuz. Ben bunu buraya gelinceye kadar bilmiyordum. Fakat çok güzel bir tesadüf oldu. Şehre biraz uzak olduğunu unutmamalısınız. Şehre gitmek istiyorsanız araba kiralamanız daha mantıklı olacaktır.

the inn is managed by a small family. The room i got was considerably larger than i expected. Food was exceptionally great, the innkeeper was very considerate to accomodate to my request to replace the original pork patty meal with pasta. They were also very kind enough to give me free handwarmer when i mentioned that i was looking for it at any store around for my hike to mt nantai. Highly recommended

I went to Yumoto for hiking and found this wonderful place. The staffs are very helpful. Although, they cannot fully communicate in English. They are trying their best to make sure my stay is the best experience I have. Room is clean and has no AC.  Breakfast and dinner are traditional Japanese course and I love them.  About Onsen, it might not be in the best condition but it is good enough.  If I have a chance to return to Nikko, I will stay at this place again.

Most of the reviews are outdated so I thought I'd give an updated review. For one thing, there is WiFi (I have informed the landlady that the website indicates otherwise). This place is a traditional-style inn. You'll be sleeping in a futon (some Google-fu should help you know how to use one), use two pairs of slippers (one for moving around the house, one exclusively for the toilet) and will also bathe in a Japanese-style shared bathroom. The front gate and bathroom close at 10pm, which is not an issue as everywhere in Nikko closes early and it's too dark to hike outdoors (in early Autumn). We loved using the onsen to relax after a day of strolling around and hiking, and the delicious Japanese-style breakfast was lovingly prepared by a friendly old granny. The premises are old but well-maintained. Toilets, bathroom and onsen were great but we were there during off-peak season so we didn't need to share so much. Should we return to Nikko, this place will be our first choice!

What an amazing place to stay - Kas and his wife made us extremely welcome and provided excellent restaurant recommendations as well as places to visit. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent (with juice, yogurt, ham and omelette and fruit, plus toast and tea/coffee). The bedrooms are large and the bed are comfy. The shower was also super clean. It is uphill from Nikko Tobu station but you can easily get a taxi from the station for 1,000/1,100 (£5/6) which saves carrying the luggage. Short walk to Kirifuri waterfall which is beautiful and if you’re lucky you’ll get to see the monkeys along the way. I couldn’t recommend more highly and look forward to coming back in the future!

Tradition roycan. You will sleep on thin madraces. The food was included in the price and was very good. Shared showers and bathrooms but it works because many come for fishing and go up early. Recommend if you want something traditional! You need to be open minded to new food if western. We liked it for 2 days perfect.

숙소에 늦게 도착하여 체크인 시간이 지았음에도 불구하고 잘 받아주셔서 감사했습니다. 숙소 내는 넓고 깨끗했으며 목욕탕 운영 시간도 길어서 좋았습니다.

Всё было великолепно! Мы жили здесь три дня в апреле 2024 года. Хозяева очень дружелюбные и внимательные. Завтрак и ужин были очень вкусные и большие, так что днём нам даже не хотелось обедать во время прогулки. В номере всё чисто и аккуратно. Место тихое и красивое. Рядом большой супермаркет со всем необходимым. Остановка автобуса на водопады и озеро тоже очень близко. Также поблизости находится публичный онсен, там тоже хорошо отдохнули. В общем нам всё очень понравилось! Спасибо!
