The pictures were so promising, the actual property is just next level. Welcomed by Jane, the host, we immediately felt at home. We would not have changed a single object there, nor in the common area. Fully in line with our personal tastes. We found out later that Jane’s husband, a designer, was behind the the set-up. Not a surprise at all. In addition to a yummy breakfast, that pas planned, we ended up having a dinner and a late lunch. Both prepared by a super ayi. So tasty and genuine. We spend a couple of hours in the adjacent bamboo forest. Crispy air, unique light, insane calm (the whole area is so quiet). We will definitely come back. When weather will allow the use of the welcoming swimming pool. Thanks Jane! And please thank ayi on our behalf for the yummy meals.

We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation. For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel. But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. 100/10⭐️ The hotel is a beautiful house, really well taken care of, very clean! There’s an outdoor pool, children’s zone and bbq area. The room, bed and bathroom were just like the picture! Very clean, comfortable, spacious, nice smelling… The first night, we did bbq (brought our food but they can get it too if you want) and the host helped us with the charcoal and tableware. We booked with breakfast included (it’s Chinese style); Every morning the host asked us what we wanted and was very accommodating of our changes. Location: Less than 10min away (walking) of Moganshan tourism distribution center / Yucun Scenic Area (the place where you get the bus/ticket to go up the mountain). For us? Perfect because we wanted outskirts, silence and nature surroundings. The best part of the stay? The hosts! They made the weekend very easy and comfortable! They are very helpful, kind and nice!

這次是和朋友來這邊玩，順便慶祝一下，特意選了這家酒店，完全沒有失望。 酒店坐落在一片山腳下，四面環山，空氣特別清新，晚上安靜得衹能聽到蟲鳴，真正遠離了鬧市的喧囂。雖然離漁村不遠，打車過去大概15-20分鐘，但完全是不一樣的世界——一邊是煙火氣的漁村，一邊是山間的寧靜。 硬件方面，大堂很有設計感，拍照很出片，客廳也寬敞漂亮。後山有小泳池，雖然時間緊沒遊但是感覺，泡在水裡看山景會很舒服。房間是270度的山景躺下剛好衹能看到遠處的綠色羣山。 特別想誇一下服務。我們找酒店要了不少東西，每次都是親自送到房間，態度一直很熱情。入住退房都有工作人員幫忙提行李，非常貼心。還要感謝樓下餐廳的阿姨——朋友睡過頭沒趕上早餐，阿姨聽説後直接讓我端了一碟上去，真的很有人情味。 早餐種類豐盛，味道也在線。下次如果還來這邊，一定會再住這裏。

A wonderful stay from start to finish. The hospitality started even before i got there. The room was elegantly decorated, very clean and immensely spacious. I appreciated the freshly cooked breakfast and personal attention. It was like living in another era with the comfort of today. Would love to stay again

Overall, our stay was a bit disappointing, especially given the high reviews, which had set our expectations quite high. Although the hotel is relatively new, it lacks proper maintenance. The swimming pool and sunbathing area were not very clean. There was mold building up in the shower, and the rug in the room looked old and dirty. Additionally, there were no doors separating the bathroom and toilet areas, which was inconvenient. Sound insulation was poor — we could hear people talking in nearby rooms and common areas quite clearly. The hotel's location is right next to a busy road, which was not apparent from the photos. Contrary to the hotel description, there was no bamboo forest nearby, so our plan to escape the city for a peaceful countryside retreat didn’t work out as we had hoped. On a positive note, the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Some fruit and tea were provided free of charge, and the homemade Chinese-style breakfast was decent. The hotel is also within walking distance to the town center and several restaurants, which was convenient.

If you're looking for a quiet retreat in nature, this is it. Highly recommend and would definitely return! This guesthouse is the only property in the area, surrounded by mountains on all sides — incredibly peaceful and quiet, far from the noise of the city. The courtyard is beautifully maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious with large windows that frame lush greenery all around. No musty smell at all — just fresh, clean air. Breakfast was generous and satisfying, and the host was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. You can tell they really care about their guests.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, and the service is truly at the level of a five-star luxury hotel. Every member of the staff is incredibly kind, polite, and genuinely does their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel service I have experienced in my 10 years living in China. The room was spotless, with a breathtaking view through a huge floor-to-ceiling window. The bed linen was exceptionally soft and comfortable. At any time, you can order complimentary coffee or tea, and the hotel also offers fresh fruit. We even received a lovely gift – their own locally produced tea. I wholeheartedly give this hotel the highest possible rating. It is absolutely worth staying here, and the location is perfect. I can’t recommend it enough!

We stayed here for 3 nights over Qingming and it was perfect for what we wanted. Big room with balcony and easy parking. It’s just off the highway (easy to find) but still peaceful and quiet. Very friendly and extremely helpful owners (limited English but no problem)! The best part is definitely the food! Different breakfast every day and everything tasted great. We had dinner there one night as well which was sooo tasty! They also prepared a bamboo sprout for us that we had collected on the day. Overall a great stay and would 100% recommend ⭐️

Good bed, with very comfortable mattress and bedding. Water pressure in the  shower was excellent but not good for running a bath - might be due to the bath being upstairs in the bedroom? The Chinese breakfast offered was a range of several dishes but too many for me - a single traveler. It was also handy to be able to order an evening meal - the sweet and sour pork was tasty. There are facilities available to make your own BBQ. I saw other guests using these  The location was exactly what I wanted - away from the hustle of towns - it was a 25-30 minutes DiDi ride to get to the Transport Centre to go up Mogan Mountain. My bedroom door opened a few feet from  wooden steps taking me and my dog straight into a bamboo forest.  It was a chilled and relaxing stay.  One improvement - add a small fridge to the room.
