JJasur MavlyanovWe recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation.
For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel.
But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!

PPengguna TetamuOverall, our stay was a bit disappointing, especially given the high reviews, which had set our expectations quite high.
Although the hotel is relatively new, it lacks proper maintenance. The swimming pool and sunbathing area were not very clean. There was mold building up in the shower, and the rug in the room looked old and dirty. Additionally, there were no doors separating the bathroom and toilet areas, which was inconvenient. Sound insulation was poor — we could hear people talking in nearby rooms and common areas quite clearly.
The hotel's location is right next to a busy road, which was not apparent from the photos. Contrary to the hotel description, there was no bamboo forest nearby, so our plan to escape the city for a peaceful countryside retreat didn’t work out as we had hoped.
On a positive note, the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Some fruit and tea were provided free of charge, and the homemade Chinese-style breakfast was decent. The hotel is also within walking distance to the town center and several restaurants, which was convenient.

MMeishixialiudayihaorenwu住的很愉快的兩個晚上，泳池不小哦，女兒兩晚都去泳池撲騰了一個多小時，還去民宿自帶的娛樂室中的ktv玩了2小時 個人覺得設備不錯，還有一張自動麻將桌。早餐廳裏還有張桌球桌，感覺老闆夫妻是懂什麼叫度假的。莫干山很美，但是真的太熱了就沒去瑤塢啊爬山這類的暴曬項目受罪，但想着來都來了，就開車就近打卡了網紅咖啡店和飯店。老闆娘服務很好還很有愛，店裡小鳥小魚小貓小狗，後面得知外面草地那邊還散養了一衹垂耳兔就真的很驚喜，兔兔也不是很怕生，最有趣的是 回家朋友就説家裡生了小垂耳兔一個多月了，過兩天我們就去帶回來。總之很愉快的一次住宿體驗

MMararoOur stay at Moganshan Lingdi Art Space homestay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with warm, attentive service that made us feel right at home.
The Queen Room with Garden View exceeded all my expectations: it’s a spacious 60m², spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated in a charming retro Republic of China style, with a peaceful garden view that felt like a true escape from the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the free Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay
The breakfast was delicious – fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to each day exploring Moganshan. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from Yucun Square and Minguo Fengqing Street, making it so easy to explore the local area.
This homestay is a true gem: the artistic atmosphere, immaculate cleanliness, excellent service, and thoughtful details make it the best place to stay in Moganshan. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful getaway, and I can’t wait to come back!

PPengguna TetamuGood for taking beautiful photos for the social media but rather poor user experience. Aesthetics of this place are good, some corners are really charming. Still it is the comfort that we value the most in a hotel as well as the quality service and unfortunately they are not at the same level of the aesthetics.
The room is huge but there is no sofa or chairs to sit and chat comfortably, just the two enormous heavy armchairs in the opposite corners of this long room. No mini bar/fridge, very poor lighting at the wash basin, impossible to do makeup. Zero privacy in the wc and shower since there are no actual doors there, just some short saloon style doors hanging in the middle, letting out the water from the shower and odors from the toilet. No hangers for the towels. No bathrobes provided which is strange for the hotel who’s main entertainment facility is the outdoor pool.
At the outdoor pool there are very few deck chairs and no umbrellas at all.
The communication was poor, mostly over wechat, since the staff speaks basically no English. We have asked twice, in advance, about the vegetarian option for breakfast and still they brought us meat in the breakfast set (only Chinese style food is available). Altogether the experience was rather disappointing. Glad to have booked just one night there.
As for the surroundings, there is no access to the bamboo forest behind the hotel or across the road. And beware of the aggressive unleashed dogs in the village across the road if you decide to go for a stroll near the hotel.

PPengguna TetamuAn outskirt paradise on the hill. Good for hiking or treking. Impressed by the Italian designed lobby. We were well received by the house keeper Teddy. We were honor to be attended by the owner Ernest Guan who make all guests feel at home. Ever obliging and “Take your time”is his slogan . The western meal is acceptable and the Chinese meal is excellent. We eventually extended our stay to join the night party with many foreigners.
Thanks Ernest to his extra “wood”for comforting us through those chilling nights party.

Welcomed by Jane, the host, we immediately felt at home.
We would not have changed a single object there, nor in the common area. Fully in line with our personal tastes.
We found out later that Jane’s husband, a designer, was behind the the set-up. Not a surprise at all.
In addition to a yummy breakfast, that pas planned, we ended up having a dinner and a late lunch. Both prepared by a super ayi. So tasty and genuine.
We spend a couple of hours in the adjacent bamboo forest. Crispy air, unique light, insane calm (the whole area is so quiet).
We will definitely come back. When weather will allow the use of the welcoming swimming pool.

The views are breathtaking, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the entire property feels like a perfect escape from the noise of the city. The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Every part of the resort feels carefully thought out and well maintained.
A special shout-out to Alice Ma at Naked Bites — she was genuinely one of the highlights of the trip. Her service was warm, attentive, and professional. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and her friendly energy really made the dining experience special. She is an absolute star and a credit to the resort.

The entire camp has such a calm, serene, almost zen-like atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and well thought out. The design and layout of the place are stunning. There’s bamboo growing everywhere, adding to the natural, tranquil vibe. The cabins themselves are pretty modern and clean.
The staff we interacted with was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful - even though there was a language barrier.
Whether we needed a ride somewhere around the camp (which was always available thanks to staff driving around regularly) or had a question, they were always happy to assist. Adding reception on WhatsApp made things even easier – they responded quickly to any requests we had.
The food was amazing. We especially loved the Chinese restaurant – every dish we tried was full of flavor.
There’s a communal pool and other fun activities like paddling, which unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy due to the weather. Still, it’s nice to know they’re available. There’s also a small animal park where one can see peacocks, goats, chickens and ducks. It’s also nice to just walk around the camp.
The views are just gorgeous, and the whole environment encourages you to relax and slow down. All in all, it’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and just enjoy some peace and the beauty of nature.
One small downside was that there was only one coffee machine available at breakfast, which led to a long line. We ended up buying coffee, which was a bit inconvenient—especially since we could’ve had coffee for free. 🤭
I highly recommended Elephant and Moon! Would love to visit again!

MMissBee2023Tucked up a mountain, perfect if you don’t want to venture too far out. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating- cooking food for us when we arrived, ordering in drinks, arranging cars to head into town.
The rooms are a little rough around the edges - they could do with a thorough repaint perhaps, but they were clean enough.
