An excellent weekend Getaway from Shanghai. Our stay in Arcadia was amazing, located in a beautiful mountain valley of MoganShan the setting was perfect for a relaxing break. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly and the food was always delicious and freshly prepared for us. We spent most of our time sat by the pool or in the Jacuzzi. It’s also a lovely spot to bring your dog, with an enclosed garden and lots of space. Definitely recommend to stay!

Great Gateway From Shanghai If you are looking for a place to rest in nature, Yunxi Designer Hot Spring Homestay is best place to stay! Starting with big rooms overviewing green heels, through spacious balcony and cosy bathtubs. The hotel has everything you need to simply rest and enjoy your time in nature. The food is absolutely remarkable, has local taste and cater to dietary needs - including vegetarians. The hosts are lovely couple who are always willing to help and provide multiple recommendations what to do around. The hot springs are next level and allow you for romantic stay in a full privacy. The cheery on top is a lovely deer who has a lot of space to enjoy and is feed with green vegetables. My partner loves to get a morning swim and pool was available for him despite our stay was after ”hot season” I strongly recommend this place, and we will for sure come back!

The staff was beyond kind and made sure to communicate with me daily through WeChat (as there was a language barrier and they wanted to make sure the communication has no problems) about dinner reservations and cleaning the room. They made sure to provide a wonderful experience and helped me with all my requests. They also had an outdoor pool which can be used at any time along with 3 possible walking paths. 2 leading into the mountain and the third leading back to the lake you pass on your way to the hotel. I also tried the lunch and dinner which were both filling to the point where I could not finish the food (although I tried my best), both were 48rmb and 130rmb respectively. The breakfast is also just Chinese dishes, but filling and full of flavor. I also got to take home some homemade snacks! I also tried the outdoor hot tub for 480 rmb, which was worth the money. They provided some snacks, a warm drink and nature provided the rest. The only thing that could have been better is if it had rained. There are also a lot of places to sit and relax. You can play guitar, read, drink tea, and more! And of course a lot of places to take great pictures of your holiday. Finally, make sure to try their homemade plum liquor and to spend time with the cats! They are adorable (one took over my bed and we cuddled while I read)!!

A Comfortable, Pet-Friendly Stay with a Few Areas for Improvement The hotel can be difficult to identify when you first arrive because there is no sign directly on the building. Instead, the sign is attached to a gate that usually remains open, so it becomes partially folded and easy to miss. The hotel also does not have on-site parking. Guests park across the street at the restaurant where breakfast is served each morning. Breakfast was traditional Chinese and included steamed buns, sweet potato, a hard-boiled egg, watermelon, tea, and milk. Everything was very tasty. Coffee was also available, but it cost extra. The people looking after the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they were filling the swimming pool after cleaning it and told us it would be ready later that day. Although the pool was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel, it did not quite meet our cleanliness standards because the deeper areas still appeared slightly cloudy. However, many other guests were comfortable using it, and we saw people enjoying the pool every day. The library area was absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately, there was a strong smell of mildew that made it difficult to spend much time there. These were the main drawbacks of our stay. Our room, however, was lovely. It smelled fresh, the bed was firm and very comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The staff emptied the rubbish and replenished our drinking water every day. The bathroom products were high quality, and toothbrushes were provided upon arrival. The room would have been even better if there had been enough towels for everyone staying in it and if the water had been slightly hotter. The hotel is located directly beside the river, with access to a peaceful riverside walk through beautiful gardens. There is also an elevated walkway farther down the road that looked interesting, although we did not have the opportunity to explore it. The river area was especially relaxing, and if I return, I would bring folding chairs and a small folding table so we could sit in the shallow water, relax, and play games. Most attractions and restaurants are approximately a 20-minute drive from the hotel. The receptionist tried to help us with maps and itineraries. Unfortunately, even after attempting to find the same hike on three different days, we were unable to locate the trailhead. It seemed that even local residents were not very familiar with the exact route. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is that it is pet-friendly and does not charge an additional pet fee, which was an important reason we chose it. The gentleman at reception also helped us secure a dinner reservation at Naked Ranch, where we had a wonderful evening. Moganshan is a beautiful destination, and overall, this hotel provided a comfortable stay. There is certainly some room for improvement, but I would return because I slept incredibly well and appreciated the warm, helpful service. Thank you again to the staff for all their assistance.

Good for taking beautiful photos for the social media but rather poor user experience. Aesthetics of this place are good, some corners are really charming. Still it is the comfort that we value the most in a hotel as well as the quality service and unfortunately they are not at the same level of the aesthetics. The room is huge but there is no sofa or chairs to sit and chat comfortably, just the two enormous heavy armchairs in the opposite corners of this long room. No mini bar/fridge, very poor lighting at the wash basin, impossible to do makeup. Zero privacy in the wc and shower since there are no actual doors there, just some short saloon style doors hanging in the middle, letting out the water from the shower and odors from the toilet. No hangers for the towels. No bathrobes provided which is strange for the hotel who’s main entertainment facility is the outdoor pool. At the outdoor pool there are very few deck chairs and no umbrellas at all. The communication was poor, mostly over wechat, since the staff speaks basically no English. We have asked twice, in advance, about the vegetarian option for breakfast and still they brought us meat in the breakfast set (only Chinese style food is available). Altogether the experience was rather disappointing. Glad to have booked just one night there. As for the surroundings, there is no access to the bamboo forest behind the hotel or across the road. And beware of the aggressive unleashed dogs in the village across the road if you decide to go for a stroll near the hotel.

An absolutely stunning hotel! We spent one night here and returned feeling completely rejuvenated. This isn't just a hotel; it's a true mountain sanctuary. Our room had a breathtaking view of the endless bamboo forests, and we were woken up by the soft light filtering through the morning mist. The air is incredibly fresh and clean. The staff were attentive and kind. The room was clean, stylish, and had a beautiful eco-luxe feel. We especially loved the outdoor heated pool. The perfect place to disconnect from city life, be with nature, and recharge.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this villa for two nights. The service was excellent from start to finish, making us feel very welcomed and well taken care of. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable. Surrounded by mountains, the villa offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere that is perfect for disconnecting from the noise and stress of big cities. We all truly enjoyed our stay, especially relaxing in the hot springs and having convenient food service options available. It was the perfect place to welcome the New Year in a relaxed and joyful way. Without a doubt, we would love to stay here again and we 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.

Moshangyin hotel is a wonderful place for a relaxing getaway in Moganshan. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, perfect for resting, slowing down, and enjoying nature away from busy city life. The interior design is beautifully done, creating a warm and comfortable environment from the moment you arrive. The room was excellent, very cozy and well-maintained, with a beautiful mountain view that makes the whole experience even more special. One of the highlights is the tea room, which is thoughtfully designed for tea preparation and relaxation. The decoration combines traditional and modern elements in a very tasteful way, with beautiful details, instruments, and carefully selected design pieces. The entire space feels artistic and calming. The property is surrounded by abundant greenery and plants everywhere, especially outdoors, which makes the environment feel fresh and natural. Sitting there and looking out toward the bamboo forests is incredibly peaceful and contemplative. Whether the weather is sunny or cloudy, the atmosphere remains equally pleasant and charming. Another lovely detail is the nearby stream—you can hear the gentle sound of flowing water, which adds even more tranquility to the stay. The staff are very kind, welcoming, and attentive, making guests feel comfortable, almost as if they are in their own natural home environment. The guests staying there are also respectful and pleasant, contributing to the calm atmosphere. Transportation is also very convenient, with taxis arriving quickly and reliably. There is a nearby village called Yucun that is lovely to visit, and many scenic areas around the hotel are easily accessible as well. Overall, this is an ideal place for anyone looking for peace, beautiful design, nature, and a truly relaxing experience in Moganshan.
