Very good location in Qingjing, right in front of bus stop but the bus is rarely come like once in an hour. Staff were very friendly, they offer pickup and dropoff service at the garden. Room is spacious and clean, no AC but the weather is cool. Hot pot at the front desk area also seems to be good, its a pity that we couldn’t try. Breakfast is variety, even it’s a easy local food but really nice taste. Definitely recommend and want to go back again if have chance.

Minsu located near to hot spot town area - where u can get to 7-11 and others restaurants/fast foods, and Swiss Garden. The room is great with splendid view from window and balcony. My only issues - rare there is no toiletries provided other than body and hair shampoo, hair conditioner and body lotion. Fortunately there is 7-11 nearby. The last thing I need is to spend $ for such simple thing, which should be provided in the room. Another issue I had is the path to building is covered with feeble stones and lots of staircase. Obviously, this minsu is for lite travellers. If you carry heavy luggage, well, good luck carry it till you reach your room floor 😓 Owner need to think about travellers with heavy luggage as the path is not user friendly 😉

The hotel is situated on the other side of the lake where the gondola goes to. Very nice and peaceful area, the back of the hotel is a nice trail for hiking. The rooms are clean and very spacious with a balcony. It also serves a nice buffet lunch. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The location is close to Ita Thao for the boat, food and convenience stores. You can walk to the doorway station in about fifteen minutes. My only complaint is that I was told breakfast is available until 10:30am, but when I got there at 9:40 I saw it was a buffet and there was barely anything left. I asked if it would be replenished and the male member of staff said no. Ended up skipping breakfast the next day

DDarrenThe hostel was right next to Ita Thao shopping district and less than 5 minutes walk to the bus stop, which was very convenient. Capsule room was clean and spacious, well worth the price. Staff were friendly and check in/out procedure was smooth. Complimentary tea and coffee at the ground floor pantry. The rooftop has a good view of the shopping district and abit of the lake, and was nice place to chill in the evening. If one wants they can also use the hot spring facility at the Wyndham next door, although it is quite pricey. Overall a very cozy hostel at a very convenient location, at a very good price.

PPEASHOOTSThe hotel was beautiful, about 50 meters from the pier as you get off the boat. The hotel staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. Our room was available before our check-in time which was really handy and the room was incredibly clean and spacious. The staff do go above and beyond to ensure your stay with them meets your needs and will aid in organising transport that fits in with your itinerary. We’ve never stayed in a hotel where it felt the staff genuinely cared about our time spent in their area. After worrying over how to get from Sun Moon Lake to our next destination, the hotel staff helped plan our bus routes, arrange a taxi service and called us in the morning to ensure we were up for the very early bus we needed to catch. Ita Thao in our opinion is the best side of the lake to stay, everyone is very friendly and the street food is much better. In addition the cable car service is a 5 minute walk from the hotel, which takes you to the beautiful Aboriginal Village and theme park. Boat rides, paddle boats, kayaks, bikes, electric scooters are all a stones throw from the hotel and a 15 minute cycle from Wenwu Temple. We did in-depth research into all the accommodation around the whole of Sun Moon Lake and we can say for certain, this hotel is perfect. Thank you and hope to see you again in the future.

DDarrenAbout 5-7 minutes walk from the Sun moon lake drop off area, which was convenient. The room was a lot bigger than I expected, did not expect to have an additional bed as I was travelling solo. With another travelling companion it would be really worth the price. There was even an entire outside area! Staff were friendly, and also provided breakfast, which was nice. The location of the room is about another 2-3 minutes walk from the reception, and was quiet and relaxing even in the day. Only concern might be that the rooms might feel abit old (being a wooden cabin and all) and eerie at night, since there is not much lighting. Also WiFi is not very good in the room

PPengguna TetamuThe best part about this hotel (国民賓館) is its location. Bus 6664, 6658, 6659 all stop less than 80m from its entrance if you're using Nantou bus. It's along the main road which is easy for pickups if you're joining local day or night tours. Across the road from Little Swiss Garden. Even Cingjing Farm has signs along its walking paths directing visitors to the hotel. The other main benefit was that the room rates I paid on Trip.com included a pair of tickets to Green Green Grassland, Little Swiss Garden and a discounted ticket (only need top up 30TWD each) to the Cingjing Skywalk - pleasantly surprised to know this only at check-in although I knew beforehand that the room rates included basic Chinese breakfast for 2, which was another convenient point for guests. The hotel buildings and room was a bit dated, no aircon since the weather in the evening and morning is cooling. But the room, bed, utilensils and toilet were clean. The view from the room balcony and hotel garden was nice to view sunset.

JJack Maa”For Non-Drivers: Navigating Transportation Can Be Tricky, but Exceptional Service and Spectacular Views Await” If you don't have access to a car, be prepared for a few transportation challenges. Walking to and from the bus stop to Cing Jing Farm can be a bit challenging, as there are no dedicated pedestrian pathways, and you'll be sharing the road with trucks and lorries. The nearest 711 convenience store is a considerable distance away, and I wouldn't recommend walking there due to safety concerns. On the plus side, the hotel's customer service is exceptional, particularly their prompt responses on LINE. They were incredibly helpful in answering my questions about navigating the sometimes confusing public transport system. One of the standout features is the breathtaking view from the balcony. On clear days, you can enjoy unforgettable sunsets, making it a fantastic spot to relax. While some guests have mentioned concerns about sound insulation, I personally didn't find it to be a major issue. However, it's worth noting that noise from neighboring rooms, especially if there are children, maybe more noticeable due to the wooden floors.

CCYY1111I booked Lake View Quad 1 Room 2 Nights. Inside the room two large double beds were placed side by side on one side of the room, leaving a small passage to place your luggages and to move within the room. The two beds were sufficient for 4 pax. But the beds were so close, there was no walking space between them. One can only get out of the bed via the foot of the bed. This is not ideal for senior people who may need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night. So if you are travelling with seniors, take the twin / double room instead. The savings is not worth it. Plus the room has really limited space for 4 adults to be moving around. The plus point for this hotel is that it has an amazing view of the lake and there are many shops along the street. Do note that the walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours next door, especially if they sat at the balcony. There was no shower curtain so the whole toilet was wet after our shower. We didn't use the tub as it was not easy for the seniors to sit inside. No amenities except Shampoo and Body Soap.
