Wow! We had an incredibly great time in this hotel! We went to Stellenbosch as the end of our adventurous travels to calm down an relax a couple of days and we went to the perfect place for that! Lovely architecture and really sweet rooms, everything was clean, the breakfast was amazing! But the best: The staff was so kind and sweet and made us feel so comfortable! Thank you Sakhi, Erin and all your collegues! You gave us a time, we will never forget!

My stay at the hotel was very lovely from the staff to the breakfast and the location is very great since its close to the city center , the only thing I can say was not nice was the room standards from having stains on the bedding as well the towels are old and more attention to detail should be paid in the showers.

Despite the hot water cylinder packing up on a very cold night, there were enough pluses to want us to return to this well-appointed and well-situated boutique hotel. ours was merely an overnight stay and we would happily stay longer should we wish to explore more of this beautiful student town. The service was friendly, genuinely caring and professional at all times. Breakfast was a treat, with the coffee being the best we've experienced from "those" machines that have become fashionable in hotel breakfast rooms. All in all, a very pleasant stay - we'll be back! The perfect place to stay in Stellenbosch. Excellent accommodation in large comfortable rooms with all the amenities needed. Perfect location on the Eerste river, safe parking and walking distance to town centre, university and sport facilities. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast.

The hotel had everything we could wish and we were more than happy. The employees are super nice and they are helpful and friendly in every situation. We booked a winetasting at the reception and it was incredible. Nothing to improve or add from our side

Perfect end to a great holiday. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Great location, walking distance to all the restaurants and bars in the centre and just by the river with beautiful bike/walking trails just outside the door. Great breakfast and rooms were lovely and spacious with very comfortable beds. A little gem. Would definately return next time in Stellenbosch.

We stayed one night in Stellenbosch and really enjoyed this place. Great service, cozy ambiance, feels like second home. Thanks to the staff who made our stay so comfortable. Highly recommend River Manor if you’re looking for quiet and relaxing atmosphere

When we booked the photos showed a nice room with a full sized window. When we arrived we were told the only room available was a loft room only accessible by two flights of external fire escape stairs . Wouldn’t feel safe walking down them in the rain. I do not believe for a moment that this is the room we booked, given my wife’s two artificial knees. We left the next morning for more suitable accommodation but the hotel refused to refund for the night we did not stay. The hotel is like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates. You don’t know what you are going to get
