This is a lovely boutique hotel. We stayed for three nights in a deluxe room. The room was well proportioned with every amenity included. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and wide-ranging (fruit, bread, pastries, meat and cheese, cereals, bacon, sausages etc). We used the spa/gym every day. The pool is heated so pleasant to swim in outside, despite the coolish ambient temperature. The gym has three cardio machines and a rack of weights. We also ate in the restaurant all three nights - the food was ecellent. The hotel is well located within 10-15 minutes walk of the river/centre of town in a quiet location. The staff throughout were very welcoming and helpful.

I loved my stay! The room was spacious, clean, equipped with Nuxe hair/body wash & hair conditioner, and even a balcony! I was only there for a night but I would have loved to stay longer! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. There were even 2x complimentary fruit drinks & glass bottled mineral water in the mini bar. Fantastic!

Top Top Class Hotel. This is an excellent hotel just 500 meters from Porto Sai Bento train station right in the centre of Porto. The staff is exceptionally well trained. Wonderful hotel, it used to be a palace. The room has got to be one of the prettiest rooms i have seen, very well designed and the archtecture is amazing. Bathroom is also stunning, everything is not only beautiful and fancy but very comfortable and very good quality. Breakfast has a ton of options for fruits, juices, cakes eggs etc. The pool and SPA are also amazing, with a dry sauna and a turkish sauna, everything you could need like snacks and refreshments in the pool area are also provided at no aditional cost. Would definetly come back.

A minha estadia de uma noite no BessaHotel no Porto foi muito agradável. O quarto era elegante, limpo e moderno, proporcionando um ambiente confortável. A experiência na piscina foi positiva, especialmente por estar a chover o dia inteiro, apesar da desorganização causada pela ocupação constante das espreguiçadeiras por outros hóspedes que iam embora sem recolher as toalhas e ocupando-as inutilmente. A localização central, próxima ao Metro de Bulhão, facilitou o acesso a diversos pontos na cidade. Atendimento rápido e sem muitas burocracias. Voltaria!! :)

This hotel is great. The rooms are very big, quiet and clean. The bed was very comfy and huge. We both slept very well which was needed after two afternoons of port tasting! It is very well located if you don’t mind walking. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We would come back.

PPengguna TetamuOK so we arrived very early and the whole of the front and one side of the hotel is surrounded by construction for the new metro. I really feel for the staff but they were handling it well. We did have to wait a long time to check in but that was because they wanted to give us a room away from the building work. The junior suite was great and the welcome was fab. Breakfast was stunning and the staff were adorable.

Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

PPengguna TetamuLovely Hotel. Stayed on the 2nd floor in adjoining rooms (as there were 4 of us) and it was right above the square so everynight we had music below us and it was delightful. The music finished around 10 or so; it did not bother our sleep and we also left the door open a little to hear the music as well as fresh air. The hotel as a nice breakfast in the morning (Portugese style) and it is extra but has a good selection of items plus mimosas The hotel is close to the train station, restaurants, and nightlife. Dinner in Porto is late (not until 7 or so) and nightlife starts late. Hotel is Within walking distance to a number of things to see although it is cobblestone, rough and uphill/downhill all the time. Staff was professional and very helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again if ever in Porto.

We were recommended to a restaurant called O Fado which was local cuisine with traditional local music,Fado Rooftop views of bridge and river. Charming area. Tram is accessible right outside. DDream17913196856The initial reaction when you walk in is this is a breathtaking old world hotel. The lobby area is spectacular and the doorman with the top hat and elevator with the leather seat takes you back to another age. Our room was spacious snd looked out over the pool and a view of the city. But it’s the little things that make you question if it’s really a 5 star property. The door stop was broken and consequently the door handle had made a hole in the wall. The display of oranges at breakfast were moldy. The decking around the pool needs repairing and despite two requests no one ever brought towels to the pool or cleaned up glasses and food left behind from other guests. While these are small things, they are things that a top hotel doesn’t overlook. We enjoyed our stay but likely won’t return as it just wasn’t our vibe.

Our room faced the street which was fairly busy and noisy. Had to keep curtains closed during the day for privacy because clients at the hotel across the street could see into our room. Breakfast was way too expensive for what was offered. Very little choice - jam options poor, coffee poor. Only the sliced cheese was tasty.

The hotel is very close to Sao Bento train station, which is the city's centre, you can easily walk to any attractions from there.
My hotel room was very new and clean, so 5/5 cleanliness score.
The service was good. Although I accidentally booked a twin room, they helped me to convert my room into a double room when I requested it. Also, they provided room service very quickly.
There was a coffee machine in my room, which was very great. Also, they provided us with 1L of free water every day. They provide a wide range of amenities, so you should be able to find anything you can expect from a hotel.

Super close to river within 50 steps from hotel and easy to see bridge.
But the hotel room had 2 major defects.
The first one was drain system at shower booth did not work well. whenever i took shower, the water did not drain well and it was
about to overflow and flood over shower booth.
The second one was my room was at top of the building where i could enjoy the sky through the window.
But the problem was that the window did not close firmly.
Overall, everything was perfect like location, friendly staff except 1 woman at front desk whose behavior did look so angry all the time.
Of course i can understand why that hotel's facilities were not in good condition because the building was totally old.
Breakfast was very nice to enjoy.
Before i stay in Porto, i had stayed 3 nights at Holiday inn in Lisbon.
Comparing with 2 hotels each other in terms of breakfast, this hotel seemed to be better.
Next time, if i should travel in Porto, i would find another hotel except this one due to those defects i've mentioned above.

PPengguna TetamuI arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!
