In the blink of an eye, today marked the end of my 5 month stay at Changyu. It’s a bittersweet feeling for me. I am finally headed back to the US, but this little compact and quaint hotel had grown on me so much. As a business executive who used to travel worldwide staying at different 5 star hotels pre-Covid, I rarely feel motivated to leave a review, unless i get super upset by something. Except a few selfish guests that smoked in the room next to mine, my stay was so immaculate that 5 months just flew by. It was definitely my “home away from home” as I spent most of my time in Tainan holed up in my room working day and night. The mattress and pillows were very comfy and the room provided everything a typical business traveler would need. The WiFi could be faster but I had no issue tethering 4G from my phone for video calls. The Western breakfast choice for complimentary breakfast was tasty enough for me to have the same thing consecutively for 3 weeks straight once. Next time I am back to Tainan solo, I will not hesitate to call the friendly and caring front desk up and request my room 602 back. See you next time, everyone! Thank you for taking exceptional care of me. TL;DR: highly recommended by a picky traveler. You def get your money’s worth.

飯店早餐感覺上旁邊的早餐店所購買的，而且我跟男朋友都不吃牛。櫃檯小姐在晚上入住時也沒有做詢問是否有吃牛或是其他過敏型食品。雖然我們自己沒說也是我們的錯，就這樣飯店早餐直接浪費了⋯⋯
汽車旅館不禁菸這個可以諒解，但一進房濃厚的煙味撲鼻而來加上泡浴缸時有聞到體味⋯

Lokasi yang selesa di bandar, dengan tempat letak kenderaan yang dilampirkan, sesuai untuk memandu. Reka bentuk ruang tingkat tinggi sangat selesa, dan halaman kecil di tengahnya juga sangat halus dan hangat. Gaya biliknya cantik seperti paparan halaman web, dan peralatannya juga sempurna. Saya juga sangat berpuas hati dengan besi wap yang terpasang. Reka bentuk kaca keseluruhan menjadikan ruang lebih terbuka, tetapi penebat suaranya tidak begitu baik. Anda mungkin perlu memperhatikan jumlah semasa tinggal. Ia adalah pengalaman penginapan yang sangat memuaskan!

Sebuah hotel perniagaan yang terletak di Daerah Timur Bandar Tainan. Walaupun ia mempunyai sedikit sejarah, ia mempunyai lokasi yang hebat. Pasar Malam Dadong hanya sejauh 3 minit berjalan kaki, dan Rende Interchange mengambil masa hanya 10 minit. Terdapat juga banyak restoran berdekatan, restoran periuk panas 24 jam, pencuci mulut tiramisu, dll. Tempat letak kereta di depan pintu adalah mudah, dan sarapan peribadi juga disertakan. Sikap layanan juga sangat mesra. Adalah lebih baik jika ada dana dan peralatan yang boleh diperbaharui.

老闆人很好！去的時候剛好颱風，所以幾乎都待在民宿，感謝老闆多收留我們一晚～
房間有四間，每間都是雙人床，有大衣櫃跟化妝台，床偏硬，睡起來很舒服！淋浴間要去外面，有廚房，餐具都很漂亮好看！廳堂的部分很適合晚上喝喝酒聊聊天！地點很棒，在安平老街附近而已～

A functional hotel in a central location with friendly staff. The hotel rooms are okay, the bathrooms are modern and quite new. Breakfast is served in the basement, which is quite uncomfortable. But I would book there again in spite of this.

PPengguna Tetamuvalue for money. 24 hours' ice cream, tea and coffee is great to travellers. The front desk officers are friendly and helpful. The officer knew that we were going to use the laundry and he accompanied us. He is a great assistance to us. Thanks for the caring of the staff. One thing needs to aware is that the cafe has limited space, better to phone to enquire the seating availability before going to have buffet breakfast.

MMarianI didn't realise it's a love motel which only allows check in late at night, but besides that fact, my overall stay was enjoyable. The room was huge, and had lots of amenities, like a sauna room and a large bathtub. Lots of cable channels on TV and a range of complimentary in room snacks, drinks and instant noodles. The biggest surprise for me was that the breakfast was from McDonald's, one of my favourite breakfasts in the world.
Location wise, I didn't think there was much in the area but I had to be in yanshui and hence stayed here. The room was also slightly cold as I could not seem to adjust the temperature.

PPengguna TetamuSomer Hotel is a gem of a place to stay in Tainan. I stayed in two different rooms during my stay, one being the tatami room and one Western hotel style. Both were spacious, clean, and really comfortable. My favorite part was the snack and drink tray provided and refilled each night so that guests can try delicious ********* food. The breakfast provided was varied and delicious. You do have to reserve the time you want to eat, but that prevents long lines and crowding during the meal. The lounge where breakfast is served is also a nice place to hang out or do work outside of the hotel room. Other amenities like wifi and the bathroom products provided were great. Service was really good and the staff was extremely welcoming and helped us to call a taxi when we needed one. The hotel is in a great location and is easily walkable to historical landmark Chikan Tower and numerous restaurants and markets. I would definitely recommend Somer Hotel as a home base for exploring or even somewhere to take naps and relax while experiencing all the amazing food that Tainan has to offer.

PPengguna Tetamu於8/20入住，服務人員先安排在 B03 號房，入住時發現冷氣機已經被開啟，遙控器設定為16度，但冷氣機偵測顯示室內溫度為27度，經過半小時觀察，發現冷氣都只有送出常溫風，沒有冷風出來。(在本評論中有附上照片可以查看) 所以第一次向服務人員反映，得到的回應是「要派人員去機房查看維修」。 後來又等了10分鐘，第二次向服務人員反映，得到的回應是「機房位在某間客房的內部，該客房有人入住所以沒辦法檢修冷氣室外機」，我詢問能否協助更換房間，客房人員回覆「可以」，隨後工作人員開始整理隔壁 B04 號房。 服務人員在整理 B04 號房時，我是跟隨在工作人員後面進入 B04 號房一同查看房況，工作人員知道我在意冷氣是否正常，所以開啟冷氣機詢問我是否可以接受，我確定冷風有開始送出，便同意更換到此房間。 但服務人員也同時告知我，B04 號房浴室洗手台上的水龍頭因為固定器脫落導致使用上較不方便，問我接不接受，我想說都已經麻煩對方幫我換房間了，水龍頭這點小事就算了，於是我回覆可以接受。 接著工作人員便開始整理 B04 房間，約莫10分鐘後，我與同行友人便更換至 B04 號房入住，並且向服務人員更換房卡。 於同日晚間接近 23:50 回到房間，準備洗澡的時候，發現水壓異常的低導致蓮蓬頭出水較少且沒有熱水，另外又發現水箱馬桶內沒有蓄水，因此很勉強的用水壓較低的冷水沖完澡。

PPengguna TetamuThe staff is really nice and helpful, they gave me good recommandations for Tainan and my next trips as well, I cancelled my last nights because I changed my plans and they gave me a refund. There are workshops every evening (learning how to make coffee, cocktails,...) in a friendly atmosphere so it's easier to meet people from Taiwan and travelers from other countries alike. The hostel is really well located, just next to the train station so it's very convenient. The hostel entrance is located inside the Family Mart. There are several showers, toilets and the washing machine is free, so as the breakfast. Highly recommend!!! :)

MMichelle ElziraWe cannot stop our praises for this hotel! We intended to just stay the night and explore a little of Tainan before heading to Kaoshiung. The friendly staff engaged us in conversation and shared so passionately about Tainan that we decided to stay an extra day/night in Tainan. They even planned our itinerary for us. We are thankful for the value-added service of helping us warm up our food (we bought food as our stomachs had limited capacity) in the mornings/nights. We got the double room with no window but hardly felt suffocated as the room was spacious, spotless and sooo comfortable. The carpark was a short 3min walk away. We enjoyed the facilities, but what caught our hearts was the heartwarming service from the staff. We do not have the habit of asking to take a photo with hotel staff, but for this hotel, we asked to as we wanted to remember the wonderful experience we had here.

PPengguna TetamuStrategically placed in the center of Tainan City, smack bang middle of the transportation hub. It is right behind the Main bus stations (North and South) which all buses in the city stop by (some start from those stations), so it would be very convenient for you to get around. As for the Train Station, it is a 3 minute walk from the hotel, which makes easier for people to travel further but still feel close enough to comeback. The hotel it self its pretty okay. The beds are clean and soft, they have a big bathroom, and spacious rooms for the most of it. For a budget hotel, i think its about worth it. The only downsides in my opinion are the windows, they layered them with black stickers and leave maybe a 10-20 cm gap that we can see through. Though it was buildings only buildings outside, feeling that you have more window view wouldn't be so bad. And the other thing, is the walls are a bit thinner, so it could not contain our noise neither our neighbours. Still, I understand that's a trade off. Overall, It's an okay place to stay.

PPengguna TetamuLove this place and the friendly owner/staffs, they provide us additional cup noodles in case the shops nearby close early due to New Year countdown celebration. They have been very patience with my queries as well and friendly to share what we can do in tainan also. it's a special vintage design room with spiral staircase up to the bed with TV. Not very soundproof since its a historic building. Lights can be controlled from the top as well. Toilet does not come with a door but there's curtain and bindings to roll down when in use. Location is pretty near Mazu Temple and guangong temple for people who want to visit and walkable distance of 10 to 15mins to Shen Nong Street.
Do visit hayashi department store which is also walkable from the stay and it's the first departmental store in TaiNan which I heard, it sells many interesting stuffs.

This time I came to Guanziling and not only enjoyed the unique hot springs, but also experienced the local natural beauty and cuisine.
