The hotel is beautiful with a great atmosphere and a spectacular view. It features an outdoor onsen, including one women-only bath, two men-only baths, and a mixed-gender bath (swimwear is provided for the mixed bath). I visited late at night and it was very quiet with no other guests around. For those who are not comfortable with onsen bathing, there are also indoor shower rooms and hot baths separated for men and women. The staff are very kind and helpful. Although they do not speak much English, all instructions and guidance are clearly provided in English. The hotel is located very close to the Shinhotaka Ropeway—just one bus stop away. The location is deep in the forest, which makes it incredibly beautiful and peaceful. However, transportation can be inconvenient without a private car, so it’s recommended to check the bus schedule in advance if you plan to go out for meals.

Very unique location of ryokan. Very near ropeway station but still very secluded from the main road. Authentic Japanese experience.

Very good, the room is clean, the indoor and outdoor hot springs are good, but we booked late so there was no breakfast or dinner. The children played in the snow and came back to take a bath, they were very happy. I strongly recommend staying a few more days!

It is rare to be able to reach Shenshanao Hot Spring Hotel with such convenient transportation. You can enjoy the hot spring in the beautiful nature, and everything else can be ignored. The hotel's hygiene and facilities are acceptable. There is no meal, but cup noodles and drinks are sold.

The kids loved it and would book again next time and the room brought surprises! ! ! However, the number of rooms is smaller, and you really have to book much in advance if you want to book, otherwise you won't be able to book a room

Already the third time to stay. I think this is a niche hotel, suitable for travelers who are willing or want to stay in the mountains in the middle of nowhere and are not looking for the services or facilities provided by the hotel. There really aren't any other buildings/facilities nearby (within walking distance) (unless you plan on hiking or walking up/down the mountain for 20 minutes). If you don’t drive by yourself, there are only buses that run every hour. It does not have gorgeous/elegant decoration, nor advanced/luxury facilities; but if you like historical hotels and/or unique accommodation experiences, you may want to take a hard look at the map and consider whether you are interested in giving it a try .

The best impression. The accommodation is very good. The view is very good. The food is very good. The onsen is very good. travel is convenient because taking a bus to the front of the hotel in the middle of the valley Especially if it's snowing, it's amazing and most importantly, the view from the bedroom is very good, impressive.
