Pefect stay with good service and faciloties. I enjoyed my stay a lot. We had a colourful and tasteful breakfast every day. Small chat at the reception whenever we need to ask something. We felt like home.

The hotel has a great location in the old town so it’s very convenient and the design around the hotel is gorgeous and the rooms have antique furnishings. Maria is extremely helpful and polite when I checked in late after 5pm. Do note that there’s no kettle in the room but a shared kitchen at level 2, sadly when I wanted to use it, the kettle might have been taken by other guests. Will be great if each room can have a kettle or if there is a main water dispenser. The toilet seat is not securely fastened so be careful. The water in the bathroom can easy splash out as it’s a curtain shower for the standing shower. Room slippers, fragrant shower, shampoo, hair conditioner and shower caps are provided.

When I say the Hotel Schlössle felt like home away from home, I mean it. And when you can have that “home away from home” feeling in a 5-star hotel—where luxury just feels like a cozy fireplace and a wonderful meal, instead of fussy refinery inaccessible to us regular folks? I think you’ll understand why it was my favorite hotel stay of my entire life, no exaggeration whatsoever. I think there is something to the fact that the staff has the creative freedom to make special touches for guests that cycles back to employee happiness in their job (they aren’t just expected to check boxes and act as automatons) that makes you really feel like the enjoy being there for you! They truly don’t seem to mind the acts of service that make up the 5-star hotel experience. From the pillow menu (yes, a PILLOW MENU), to the arctic hot tub experience, where you can order drinks at the spa, to the teddy bear turn-down service they offer to children…I got the distinct impression that their freedom to make the experience customized for each guest allowed them to lean into the parts of their job that made it enjoyable and fun, which put me so at ease as a guest! The rooms were impeccably maintained and the warm, cozy fireplaces I all the main areas, combined with candlelight made the 13th century bones of this building (yes, you read that right!) feel warm and inviting, like a place that had never lost its hospitality for a moment, even after 800 years. All of this, right in the heart of Old town Tallinn, with impeccably clean rooms and by far my favorite hotel breakfast—ever, hands down—and you will want to RUN and book this affordably priced hotel as fast as you can.

In terms of location, you’re unlikely to find a better place. The hotel is located right across from the entrance to Tallinn’s medieval old town. It is also conveniently connected to a shopping centre. The hotel, whilst renovated, is a little dated in keeping with its Soviet era heritage. But that itself lends character. Staff friendly and responsive. Beds very comfortable. The view from the rooftop bar is panoramic and magical at sunset. The KGB museum is worth a visit by itself and a fascinating relic of Estonia’s tragic but ultimately triumphant history. The lady guide for the KGB museum tour was great. Only downside is lack of block out curtains: which are essential in the summer months with the sun setting so late. It would also have been nice if the KGB Museum tour was included in the hotel rate, or at least if a discount was offered for guests.

All generally acceptable but quality of breakfast was poor and let down the overall stay. Fruit not fresh, long queues and no attention from any waiting staff. Check in and out was quick and easy. Location is not central but not far from the centre. Short walk.

The hotel was in a great location with the train and bus station just a few minutes away. Its in the old town with lots of Restaurants, Bars and Cafés nearby. It was a bit of a maze to go up our room, there wasn't a lift which might be a bit difficult if you carry heavy luggages upstairs. The room was nice and spacious and so was the bathroom. We had a Jacuzzi which was amazing but unfortunately it didn't work. The toilet was a bit smelly too. There is no air con in the room, it got quite hot but a van is available. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, though another coffee machine would have been nice as there was a big queue. As we left early in the morning we asked if it was possible to get a breakfast/lunchbox to take with us and it wasn't a problem at all. We've been given a box with slices of bread, ham, cheese, cucumber, tomato, pastries and an apple. It was just perfect and very sweet of them. Even though the stay wasn't perfect, I'd definitely come back as it's in a great location and good value for money.

I’ve been visiting Tallinn twice a year for the past 20 years and I try different accommodation each time. It was my first time at the Rixwell Savoy and it was a superb experience. The service was friendly and welcoming, the hotel is charming and tastefully decorated. My room gave me a view of the old town that equaled that from the viewing platform at St Olaf’s Church. Location is excellent. In the old town yet near the theatre and the Solaris/shopping centers. Room was spacious, comfortable and the coffee machine made excellent coffee. Bath robes were soft and having a bath was a welcome addition. Also, taxis can pick you up right outside the hotel - not all areas are vehicle accessible in the old town.

Comfortable rooms, helpful staff and very good breakfast. The location is a bit away from the city center, restaurants etc., but 20 minutes walked never killed nobody. Would definitely stay here again. The airport is in 5 euros taxi ride.
