I’ve been visiting Tallinn twice a year for the past 20 years and I try different accommodation each time. It was my first time at the Rixwell Savoy and it was a superb experience. The service was friendly and welcoming, the hotel is charming and tastefully decorated. My room gave me a view of the old town that equaled that from the viewing platform at St Olaf’s Church. Location is excellent. In the old town yet near the theatre and the Solaris/shopping centers. Room was spacious, comfortable and the coffee machine made excellent coffee. Bath robes were soft and having a bath was a welcome addition. Also, taxis can pick you up right outside the hotel - not all areas are vehicle accessible in the old town.

In terms of location, you’re unlikely to find a better place. The hotel is located right across from the entrance to Tallinn’s medieval old town. It is also conveniently connected to a shopping centre. The hotel, whilst renovated, is a little dated in keeping with its Soviet era heritage. But that itself lends character. Staff friendly and responsive. Beds very comfortable. The view from the rooftop bar is panoramic and magical at sunset. The KGB museum is worth a visit by itself and a fascinating relic of Estonia’s tragic but ultimately triumphant history. The lady guide for the KGB museum tour was great. Only downside is lack of block out curtains: which are essential in the summer months with the sun setting so late. It would also have been nice if the KGB Museum tour was included in the hotel rate, or at least if a discount was offered for guests.

You couldn't score a better location in the city center. The main department store is 5 min walk away, the beautiful Old Town is a 10 min walks, not to mention all the great restaurants and coffee shops that you only have to step out for. And for anything that's further away, the tram stop is pretty much next to the building. The apartment was very beautiful, stylisg and clean and remote check-in and check-out is great for those who want to be private and get a feel of actually ”living” in the apartment. The bed was super comfortable, the towels soft and there were even great quality soaps, shampoos etc in the bathroom (from Rituals). Everything you need in the kitchen as well + a coffee machine with beans. Even some books to read. My absolute only complaint would be the check-in and check-out times. 3pm check-in and 12am (like most hotels have) would be so much more convenient, especially when on vacation. NB! Keep in mind there's no elevator, so if you have a lot of stuff or a baby with a pram etc, that's just something to consider.

Breakfast was satisfactory but we would appreciate some menu changes at different days.
Our room view was good.
Staff was efficient, supportive and friendly.
Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and drug stores around the hotel.
Yet, some areas for their top management to consider:
1. cups and kettle may be provided for every room, and
2. the extra fee for using spa and sauna was 15 Euros per head which we think may be too high for non European travelers, and
3. Gym was charged 5 Euros per head may also be waived, just like most hotels would do in other big cities.

Villa Kadriorg is a budget friendly hostel/hotel that is on a direct bus route to the old town. If not for major upgrade works to the tram network then I believe it would also be on the tram line.
I found my room comfy enough, if a little warm. It was a very warm few days in Tallinn though. Sadly, my room was right above a bar playing music until past 10pm. If you needed an early night to catch transport then that might be a problem.
There's free WiFi and a small shared kitchen. The shared showers were a little grubby, but I suspect that is to be expected. There was also a bit of noise from some of the younger guests after 10.
Sounds like I had a miserable stay but that is not so. Just be aware that the price will attract youngsters.
I'd say that Villa Kadriorg is good value for money and a fine place to rest a weary head after a long day walking around beautiful Tallinn.

It was the second time me and my boyfriend decided to have our autumn getaway in Viimsi Spa. And it did not disappoint!! Great value for quality, including check in from 15.00 to enjoy the incredible spa and sauna centre to the fullest + a nice cozy room + included breakfast buffe. My favourites this time were the Juniper sauna and Pina Colada ice cream shake.

It was clean and cozy. Breakfast was good All the personnel were polite and helpful, it was easy to navigate from hotel to all city parts to have fun :) highly recommend this place to stay !

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet had so much choice, the bed was very comfortable and the room was cosy and modern with a great view. The location was very good. I loved the concept of the coworking space, DIY room and Yoga room.
The only negative comment I have - I didn't appreciate breakfast staff member trying to talk with us only in Russian. She didn't know English and I'm not sure if she knew Estonian. Slightly upsetting.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel has a great location in the old town so it’s very convenient and the design around the hotel is gorgeous and the rooms have antique furnishings. Maria is extremely helpful and polite when I checked in late after 5pm. Do note that there’s no kettle in the room but a shared kitchen at level 2, sadly when I wanted to use it, the kettle might have been taken by other guests. Will be great if each room can have a kettle or if there is a main water dispenser. The toilet seat is not securely fastened so be careful. The water in the bathroom can easy splash out as it’s a curtain shower for the standing shower. Room slippers, fragrant shower, shampoo, hair conditioner and shower caps are provided.

Unfortunately arrival to this hotel on Sunday did not went as planned, we booked from you room for 2 adult + our 12 years old son however hotel gave us room
without any kid bed only 2 twin bed and when asked for additional kid bed hotel told that it is not allowed for so small room so this room was not workable at all,
how we could fit that room????
Luckily after long discussion of 45 min we were upgraded to deluxe room with kid bed but we were forced to pay additional charge of EUR 122,-!!!!
Please advice if you can refund us same amount as it was booked correctly ??

PPengguna TetamuBoth the room and the bathroom are big and clean. There is no kettle in the room. The tap water is not clean enough for drinking. The location is great that it is next to the station, old town and supermarket. However, you can feel the floor is shaking when there is train passing by. The soundproof is not good enough, I kept hearing the sound my neighbour made at the midnight. But overall not bad with this low price, size and cleanness of the room.

MMikeJMJonesThis is a typical 3.5 star European hotel. It is in an excellent location in the middle of the Tallinn Old Town, has comfortable but typically-smallish double rooms, wonderful breakfasts, and warm ac. I would recommend it to couples. However, we would not stay here again. Even though we booked and were fully paid more than 2 months before the hotel stay, we were told on our arrival that our room had been, ”double booked”. We were dispatched to a room with smaller than single beds positioned end to end in a room that resembled a school camp facility. When I suggested that this was unsatisfactory, the front desk person stated in front of other guests, ”That's too bad”. After walking the old town and returning, the manager had placed us in a better room for one night and we then had our pre-booked room for the next three nights. Additionally, the lift does not extend to the 4th floor so it was a struggle carrying large suitcases up stairs and across other uneven floors. Finally at check out, the receptionist insisted that our original payment was rejected by ”their system” so I had to pay again. She withdrew the allegation after I showed her a stamped receipt. She then retorted, ”must have been a system error”. In my opinion, two different staff members could benefit from some serious service-industry professional development. However, other staff were very friendly and helpful; it was a very central location; and the breakfasts were delicious.

TtravellingpharmacistI looooove the hostel so much! It has every basic necessity a traveller like me needs- private bathroom, complete kitchenette, cinema room, game room, wc & luggage storage provided by the owner.
The hostel has a steep stairs so if you were travelling with big luggage, you will need to put this in mind.
Overall, loving my stay so much! Everything is walking distance ＜33
