I did not get to stay in this hotel. Upon arrival, I was told that my booking did not show in the Hotel’s system, because they were not informed by trip.com of my booking. Unfortunately, they were also fully booked. It was such a stressful experience. The Tora Hotel staff were very helpful. They were really trying to help. I couldn’t say the same for trip.com costumer’s service. Their Japanese team were informed of the mishap by Tora hotel, and the ones they talked to told them they would give me a call to sort things out. They never did. I was only able to reach them through chat. Not only were their contact hotlines unreachable, but when I begged them to call me while chatting with them, they told me that all the number i gave them were unreachable (my roaming number, my companion’s roaming number, the tora hotel’s staff number), which was a bit odd because they were able to contact me twice days before the trip for my early check-in request. They dangled me for 2 hours, telling me they are trying to look for a hotel for me, but they were not able to do so. I ended up asking me to book my own hotel, and offering a refund and reimbursement for the price difference at least. IT WAS SO STRESSFUL. It was my last day in Tokyo and lost more than 2 hours of my planned day. It was their fault and I ended up fixing their own mistake. They did give me 6000 pesos worth of trip coins, but I don’t think I will ever ever use then because I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH TRIP.COM after this awful experience.

I booked Hotel Amanek thru booking.com based on it’s good reviews and reasonable price. My husband ordered a portable wifi unit to be see to sent to our hotel so we could easily navigate Tokyo, however it arrived before we arrived and the staff promptly sent it back to the company. Their excuse was the booking was under my name and the wifi was under my husband’s name. We share the same last name and we had a booking for two adults and 3 children, but they said the searched under my husband’s first name? What kind of logic is that? It caused my husband so much stress. They were unable to / unwilling to sort it out for us, and my husband had to spend ¥3000 yen on phone cards ringing around the wifi company and courier company to sort out it’s re delivery (we had already paid for it, so cancelling it was not an option). We also had to pay a redelivery fee which my husband asked the hotel to pay, since it was their mistake, but they refused. Intact, there was barely any apology, which upset my husband, as Japanese customer service is usually excellent. Then, as it did not arrive until the day we left Tokyo, I had to arrange global roaming thru my phone company at additional expense. My husband is Japanese and I am a Kiwi who previously lived in Japan for a long time. We were aware this was a business hotel but the staff are very young and immature and unable to deal with the basics of customer service, including pre ordering a taxi for us. The room are also tiny, but this was made clear in other reviews. My husband and sons stayed in a triple room and my daughter and I in a twin. The beds were on raised platforms with less than a metre space between the bed and the wall, so that it was impossible to fully open the suitcases and they had to be stored under the beds. There was no chair or desk or anything, so if you are in the room, the only place to be is sitting or lying on the bed. It is akin to a youth hostel or capsule hotel size. It is definitely not ideal for foreigners due to the cramped size and difficulty navigating to and from the train stations with suitcases. The best thing was the weather was perfect while we were there, there is a nice view of the sky tree, there is great shopping around Senso-ji and we enjoyed the morning breakfast set at the ‘Tomorrow’ cafe near Senso-ji. Would not recommend this hotel for foreigners, people with kids or people who are hoping for any kind of customer service.

Such a nice stay. The staff was very kind. The food at the restaurant was very good but be warned that the restaurant is credit card only. Breakfast was included in the room price and was very good. We had a moderate loft room which was very roomy

先説優點:房間不算大,但是住3個人也沒問題。該有的設施都有。洗澡間的暖房設計特別好,還能泡澡。沐浴露洗髮水都不錯。入住時發現房子打掃得很乾凈。纖塵不染。地理位置非常好,去京急本所吾妻橋站步行5分鐘就到了,離晴空塔和淺草寺都很近。不管是成田機場還是羽田機場要到這裏都很容易。民宿周邊都是當地人,晚上睡覺很安靜,附近散步時還能看到養得很好的花和古法小魚缸。 缺點也有,1是辦入住的自助機一直沒法辦理入住,但是可以憑房東給的密碼進入房間。2沒有拖鞋、牙具需自備或者去淺草寺那邊的百元店購買。3、樓梯非常狹窄,帶大件箱子的很難扛上抗下。帶長者小孩的話還是要訂一樓的房間。 這間酒店總體性價比不錯,周圍便利店也多,附近還有一家很有日本特色的蕎麥麪店和居酒屋。周圍住户的外觀設計也可以慢慢欣賞,有機會還會選擇這裏。

不確定該如何評價,旅館離淺草地鐵站非常近,前往景點如淺草寺、晴空塔等都是15分鐘路程左右,這些區域有非常多的餐廳和商店。 整體來說,旅館非常的乾淨,服務也不錯,除了浴室數量較少以外並無其它明顯缺點,但服務台長期沒有人在(需要用電話召他出來),它的公共空間較小,因此旅館給我一種很冰冷的感覺,下次未必會再選擇這間。

An earlier establishment of MyStays franchise so the facilities are a bit tired. In my impression, it might be a serviced apartment before MyStays. And so the layout is actually quite good and not ‘a furnished space’. Another plus is that it is near Asakusa line so it is easy to get to/from the Narita airport and just outside of Ueno/Asakusa/Akiha zone. Rate is fair and staff is seasoned with needs of international travelers.
