If you want to truly experience Trieste in the right location and with style then this is the place. A small perfectly built Palace run by staff who care about their guests. There is absolutely everything you need here. I arrived late at night and when I walked out onto the breakfast room the following room found myself saying wow at the view on the stunning Piazza. I choose this hotel because I had always wanted to stay there in Trieste, I did return for a second stay and I would stay there again. You are close to the sea, the historical centre, numerous bars and restaurants, shopping and tourist hotspots. The rooms are lovely, majestically clean. Breakfast are a relaxing experience you do not want to hurry because why would you with that view around you. The bar is the place to be throughout the day and also acts as an informal restaurant throughout the day. Formal is also available but that was not my choice. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean with the best amenities provided. Book your stay, you know you want to!

La posizione è il suo punto forte, a due passi dalla stazione e vicino sia al mare che al centro, ottimo per visitare tutto a piedi in una giornata. Abbiamo apprezzato il self check in, che ci ha permesso di arrivare e gestirci indipendentemente. Il palazzo è antico e inevitabilmente ha un odore forte quando si entra, ma le camere e gli spazi comuni sono moderni e ben tenuti. La struttura mette a disposizione una macchinetta per bevande calde e delle caramelle per accogliere gli ospiti, mentre in cucina sono sempre disponibili i prodotti per la colazione. Su ogni sportello ci sono dei cartelli che ne indicano il contenuto e sono disponibili delle mappe della città con indicate le attrazioni turistiche. La camera è spaziosa e ben tenuta, con un cuscino aggiuntivo e delle coperte nell'armadio, in caso di necessità. Il tavolo nella stanza permette di fare colazione in intimità. Il letto comodo e morbido, le lenzuola nuove e di qualità e i doppi vetri insonorizzano perfettamente i rumori esterni. Il bagno, nel nostro caso, era privato ma esterno alla stanza, anche quello pulito e con a disposizione un phon potente (molto utile se si hanno i capelli lunghi), sapone per le mani e shampoo doccia di due tipi differenti. Gli asciugamani anche sono messi a disposizione. Riassumendo, lo consiglieremmo volentieri a chiunque voglia soggiornare in questa bella città. L'unico consiglio da parte nostra sarebbe di mettere a disposizione un'alternativa salata per la colazione, essendo la scelta dolce molto più che abbondante. ☺️

La posizione della struttura è eccellente, a 2 min dalla stazione dei treni e 10 min dal centro città! Le stanze non sono all'ultimo grido, ma dignitose e con i minimi comfort soddisfatti. L'unica pecca, a mio avviso, è il materasso che l'ho trovato, personalmente, un po' troppo basso e morbido (considerazione soggettiva)! Personale della reception molto cortese e disponibile! Sicuramente ci ritorneremo 😁👌

We found this cosy hotel well priced and oh so quiet and certainly a 5 star rating for the price. All the staff spoke excellent English and were unfailingly courteous. There’s a lift that helps if you have heavy luggage to manage. I think we paid around £80 a night for two and their help yourself breakfast came in at less than a fiver each. Brekky was ace - great coffee, juices, hams and cheeses, 3/4 varieties of jams, croissants, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts and I’m sure I’ve left stuff out. The bedroom was well furnished, the shower could get to super hot and the entire place was spic & span clean. It’s pretty central and a 5 or so minute walk to the James Joyce statue in one direction and about the same the other way to the main Trieste train station. But now I must note my gratitude to the folks who work here. This was 5 star priceless. I arrived here weak and ill, discharged from a local Trieste hospital after 40 hours, having been food poisoned on an MSC cruise ship and dispatched from their ship hospital (where I was very well treated) to the hospital. My wife on the other hand was left by MSC to struggle on the dockside as the Armonia sailed away, just as the sun set, with most of our luggage still aboard. That’s a whole other story and we did re - board ship a week later in Venice. The only reason the ship docked in Trieste was high winds in Venice. On early morning arrival here from hospital to check-in we were offered cappuccinos and pastries while our room was prepared and it turned out these were complimentary. They knew we were coming and that I’d been hospitalised. Thereafter they helped us beyond our ability in words to thank them for all their kindnesses. I mean if Italy has an honours system for those who help others these gentle people deserve to be top of the list. One day I needed a doctor to get a fit to travel certificate and the young man at reception put in 14 phone calls for me including waiting on call backs. Over an hour later he achieved what I needed - just pause to think about this - over an hour and he dealt with other calls and guests too. What he did we simply could not have achieved by ourselves. My wife and I were just stunned at this humanity which came with a smile. Then he announced he needed a coffee and promptly proceeded to make all three of us cappuccinos offering fruit and pastries again all on the house. They translated for us, including medical papers, organised many taxi rides including one to Venice and could not have done more. So we can’t recommend here strongly enough. We truly were in great need and they delivered 100% and y’know we’ll never forget the humanity and all we could do was say thank you and we said it a lot.

Very nice location, value and yes, Tanya and all of the other front-desk staff were super-helpful. I'm glad we picked up a car on our way out of Trieste, absolutely no reason to have one if you don't have to. Yes, the breakfast room is small, but the selection is delightful indeed. A nice choice (especially if one doesn't have a car...) in Trieste! Meanwhile: When there, you MUST take the maybe-quarter-mile walk up the street to Gelateria Zampolli, the best Gelato we have ever had...

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was substantial with plenty of choices available. During the day the breakfast room also serves as the hotel guest lounge. There are complimentary pastries, tea and a coffee machine available here for hotel guests throughout the day. It is a relaxing place to sit and refresh. The hotel staff are friendly, polite and helpful. In front of the hotel is a small shop where you can buy a 24 hour bus ticket for three euros. Many of the local sites are accessible using public transport. There are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel. It is a five minute walk to the the old town.

Hotel cercano a la estación en un edificio antiguo de 5 plantas con ascensor .recientemente remunerado pero de manera demasiado austera.habitacion con caja fuerte nevera y aire acondicionado y vistas a la calle a un conservatorio con ensayos de piano continuos,nada desagradable por cierto.faltan enchufes en las mesitas y estanterías en el baño,en la ducha ni una para dejar la esponja poco gel y champú y exceso de toallitas limpia zapatos.desayuno monótono al estilo italiano...bollería envasada y algo de fiambre,café malo y zumo aguado...por lo demás las camas son cómodas pero no las almohadas...para pasar un par de días no está mal.
