"Absolutely exceptional. Huge space, elegant and very comfortable. The only flaw is the lack of staff, which complicates some things a bit (for example, you can't leave your bags at the reception). Nevertheless, without a doubt one of the best accommodations I've ever stayed in!"

"Architectural barriers. Small room. Bathroom difficult to use for a disabled person (if not impossible). Towels so worn that you can clearly see the warp and weft. Breakfast: fruit juice served directly from the carton, not even refreshed. There was no orange juice because "the load didn't arrive" (!!!!! It was Rauch orange juice, and a few hundred meters away there is a supermarket: go out and buy it!) I have been to a 2-star hotel many times, including Venice which everyone complains about: I have never felt cheated and robbed of my 90 euros, never. Here, yes. Highly discouraged!"

"The Ordinary Punter really liked this place - book it direct with the owner, not via a booking website, It's not a hotel, not a b&b, but your residence in Trieste city centre.The name of "Le 6 A" residence is a tribute to Italo Svevo and to the women from Trieste, who are traditionally held as beautiful, free-minded, caring and strong-willed, just like the women characters in Svevo's novels. Each room is dedicated to one of them. It's really good - large rooms, en-suite bathroom, wooden floor, kitchenette, tv-set and wi-fi. Go for it!"

"The apartment is in a beautiful old building, in an excellent location, just a few minutes from the Canale Grande/Vecchio. Very clean and tidy. Clean textiles. Spacious. Once a week, a thorough cleaning and replacement of bed linen and towels is carried out. The bathroom is beautiful and well equipped. However, only the bare essentials and basics are available. You have to ask for standard items such as tea towels or pot holders. In addition, the noises from the kitchen are unfortunately very loud and disturb sleeping considerably (heating system and extremely loud refrigerator). Nothing happened when I asked to turn the heating system off at night. The air conditioning works, but is extremely loud when in use. The refrigerator was incorrectly set and is poorly designed. The condensation runs under the vegetable compartment and, by raising it, makes it almost impossible to close the door, which is then blocked. Problems such as the incorrect setting of the refrigerator or the broken toilet cistern were quickly resolved by the staff. Some of the walls could be painted and some items could be replaced (e.g. broom in the bathroom). The staff are attentive, but you don't feel particularly welcome as a guest. A service is provided for the guest with the necessary courtesy. Anything beyond that is not considered necessary. Conclusion: good accommodation in a top location, ideal for undemanding and short stays. Too expensive for me with these shortcomings. With a little effort, the guests' stay could be improved and made more pleasant. It's a shame that there is so little customer loyalty."

"Had a brief 1 night stay at the hotel with family so we booked 2 rooms. The photos of the rooms on the website give a realistic view of the room, however captured with a very wide lens. They rooms have adequate space, but no where near what the photos show. The bathroom is also on the small side, and the toilet and bidet positioned in corners of the bathroom where they were impossible to use without contortioning oneself. No kettle in the room, although the minibar was well stocked. Room and bathroom were nice and clean, and the bed very comfortable with a firm mattress, and good pillows. Hotel WiFi was easy to log into, and had a good reliable speed. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. One bad feature is that even though they have a garage, it is not possible to book it. When we arrived it was already full, and we were sent to a public underground parking area about 300m from the hotel. Street parking in the area was impossible, as there were cars already parked everywhere. Special mention to the in house restaurant. They offer a full 3 course dinner (very good sized portions) at €19. The food quality was also very good, and a special shout out to the girls waiting on us. Both were very helpful, kind, efficient and friendly."

"When we arrived and saw that yellow old house by the road our impression was that we had made a mistake. How wrong we were! What a beautiful hotel! We had a room in the mansion that had a breathtaking view of the ocean and was very comfortable. Beautiful bathroom. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind. Lunch and breakfast outdoors in the terrace with that amazing view were experiences in themselves. There is access to the ocean via an elevator from the hotel to a concrete platform where there are towels, beach recliners and shades. If you want to swim you go in the water via concrete stairs. There is a bar in the lido. Easy parking in the hotel. Excellent starting point for exploring the Trieste area. We would love t return in the future!"

"Although we had booked and paid for several nights in advance, we left after 1 night. Our booking process had not made us aware the B&B was three floors up with no elevator. We also did not have advance information that the doors were locked after 7:00 pm. After contacting the owner we were told she had tried to text and call us. But as foreign tourists we were not using the cell number she had for the booking. Nothing but a scolding from her. I wish others a better experience - perhaps young people with light luggage and an early planned arrival."

"1) Front desk stuff was not helpful at all!!! 2) Access to the hotel’s lobby is only by stairs and all stuff was trying to pretend there were busy not to help at all. Luckily, we had only small suitcases, so that was not a problem for us, but still for this level of hotel I would expect welcome service in front of the hotel and not at the front desk. 3) I would not recommend “Historical One Bedroom King Suite” - it looks like the room had been plundered long time ago. There were literally no decorations whatsoever, be it old or new"
