My family was supposed to stay here in 2 rooms for 2 nights. However, we checked out after one night because this hotel was unsatisfactory. There seemed to be a near-endless stream of issues. Neither rooms' safes worked. Both rooms' refrigerator had been turned off and one of them leaked water everywhere. The other room's hairdryer did not work. One room was missing a couch, so that you could only sit on the balcony chairs, the toilet, or the bed. That room also had a very loose faucet that seemed ready to detach from the sink at any moment. There was no in-room coffee or tea. Although a microwave was in the room, there were no mugs provided (so we asked for some, and got them). There were no fitted sheets on the beds; the sheets used as substitutes became untucked quickly. Instead of using a flat sheet and comforter, there was a textured sheet that caught on our nails repeatedly during the night. In one bathroom, the window hinge was broken; it took cooperation from my daughter lifting the window from the outside and me pulling from the inside to get it to close. (An open window is an invitation to be bitten by mosquitos throughout the night.) Breakfast was supposed to start at 8am. We had to leave at 8:45am to start a tour, so we sent in our orders the previous night. The man working at the front desk of the hotel was also the only server and none of our breakfasts were ready until 8:25am. The fruit salad that was supposedly included with breakfast never made an appearance. I hung a "Do not disturb" sign on my door because I prefer not to get my room cleaned. When I came back from visiting Tulum alcheological site, someone had gone through and cleaned the room. For the reasons listed above and more, we decided to check out one night early. If visiting Tulum, I recommend that you choose a different hotel.
