Trump Turnberry

Firstly it pains me to leave this review as I greatly admire the owner of this hotel but I don’t think he knows how it’s run. Mr trump is a remarkable man this hotel is not. It’s greatly overpriced for a mediocre hotel we booked a room through the vio site £620 for a deluxe room we arrived and were given our room I must point out the valet was a lovely chap very accommodating did not get he’s name. We checked in all good given room number they said our bag would follow. We went in to room it was small and well used with a view of another building ten feet away and as we sat waiting for luggage which never arrived we noticed that the complimentary fruit was rotten looked two weeks old and room was rough so we went down after 30-40 minutes to complain still no luggage. They said the fruit left on side was disgusting and apologised and bumped our room up to a balcony room which should cost £1100 believe me not worth it but we tried to enjoy. I’ve stopped in other hotels with much better rooms for circa £300 but were there now got washed went down stairs booked food in the restaurant 1904 for 7.30 pm so while we were waiting we ordered two drinks at bar vodka lemonade and a house wine cheap wine cost £39 pounds for these then into restaurant I have never had worse over priced food I’m my life we sent one dish back uneaten still tried to charge us for it rubber off scallops when your next to the sea unbelievable then a starter one voul a vont cheap freezer type £24 it’s a joke but we went up and retired ensured breakfast would be good omg what can I say it was unbelievable bad cheap over cooked eggs I can not express what a bad breakfast this was on the hole I’ve stopped in better Hilton’s bad service bad food mediocre overpriced rooms unfortunately I would never stop there again a sleep in would be better

Had a lovely night stay with my wife,staff were all very attentive,however we did have a power cut in peak time..But this was understandable due to the recent storm the country had.. Only negative was on checkout when I presented my monetary vouchers I had an underspend of over £8.00 ? The underspend could not be refunded and Staff recommended to purchase 2 x coffees.. To my disappointment I was then presented with a bill of approx £2.50 for the balance of the coffees..

This was our first time staying at this hotel, and it certainly won’t be our last! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Jim, who made us feel incredibly welcome. He was absolutely wonderful—extremely helpful and thoughtful. As someone who uses a wheelchair, I truly appreciated how Jim went above and beyond. He took care of our luggage, escorted us inside, and even parked our car for us. His kindness and attentiveness made all the difference, and he’s truly an asset to your team. The room and bathroom were beautiful—clean, spacious, and comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and pleasant stay. Every member of the staff we interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, with a great variety of options that catered to all tastes. It was a perfect start to the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so memorable!

We were staying in a 6 bed villa for two nights. Check-in was swift, efficient and very helpful. Pre arrival communication was excellent. After an excellent spa treatment we went for afternoon tea. We were ushered to 1906 where a table was set up for us (nice touch). On asking for our names, the staff member took an internal call and the four of us are standing there like total plums for a couple of minutes until he finishes the call. The correct course of action is to take us to the table then deal with any calls. Trip to the pool the next day was great apart from people filming on their mobiles. I don’t fancy appearing on a random Tik Tok or whatever they were doing, nor does my teenage daughter. Why are mobiles even allowed poolside? Be prepared for guests filming or talking loudly (on speaker) as you try to relax. We had a lovely meal in our villa, then called for transport to the hotel just before 9pm, whilst others in our party decided to walk up. (Note you can have food sent to the villas, and the menu looked good). We were told the service was busy shuttling guests from the clubhouse, fair enough, however we sat for 30 mins, phoned back, and a “no Operator available” message popped up. We gave up and walked, informing reception when we finally arrived they could cancel our transport, which was obviously not coming anytime soon. We would have appreciated a call back to tell us to hang tight or that there were further significant delays. We could see the shuttle bus parked up at the clubhouse as we walked up to the hotel, waiting on guests who were taking their time in coming out. We ordered our drinks, then waited a further 20 mins to receive them, as apparently the bar was short staffed. We finally got to enjoy our after dinner drinks, served in the nice lounge area, an HOUR after calling for transport. Breakfasts are very good, and overall the staff were super friendly. The customer service in some areas needs work.

I was taken here as a surprise for my birthday at the beginning of December. I had always wanted to go but never got round to it. From the second you arrive you know that you are going to be well looked after. The building is so impressive and the drive up to the hotel is an experience on its own. The ground and facilities are immaculate, everything you would expect for a 5 star resort. Parking was super easy and the check in experience was on point, everything single member of staff we encountered was an absolute credit to the place. I have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels across the world as part of my job and it’s the staff that make it a truly magical experience. We were helped to our room by one of the door men, shown the room and features and made sure we were happy with the room. The rooms were immaculate, so clean and tastefully decorated with all the necessary items on what to see and do during your stay. Large TV, mini bar, kettle, iron, large closet, safe, toiletries etc all provided. Information of restaurants and spa opening times were out of date on the TV, but the website is up to date all small glitch that has probably just been overlooked. Bed was super comfy. Loads of information on the activity’s available which is second to none on my next visit I will be making use of these especially the clay shooting and archery. The spa was fantastic, plenty of things to do and plenty of space for all guests, even loved the little touches of being able to order pool snacks and drinks. (Hot tub wasn’t working during our stay but again not a huge disappointment , could have done with some signage) the relaxation room and aromatherapy shower was unreal. On our way back to the room in the evening our room was turned down for the evening which was a beautiful touch, little touches by the house keeping team such as wrapping the charging cables in trump branded cable ties, the glasses sat on the bedside tables, blinds drawn and bathroom set up were just delightful. Went for dinner at Duel in the Sun as the menu suited us better than the 1906 restaurant. The staff and the food were absolutely phenomenal, the little touches on the table such as our name and the birthday wishes were just such a personal touch. ( should keep the restaurant open till 7pm at the duel just for guests who want a less formal dining experience) we were taken back to the main hotel and had a few drinks in the lobby which was again just perfect with the staff being super attentive and present. Made our way back to the spa until 9.30pm before heading back to the room. Had a wonderful nights sleep so peaceful. Breakfast was perfect a little confusing around the prices so wasn’t sure it was included and thought that we had to order off the menu however spoke to one of the waitress's who explained we could order what ever we want to suit our taste and dietary requirement. Hi I booked two rooms for a family wedding on 23/11/24 , we have stayed here quite a few times over the years and the first class service you receive has never wained , staff are brilliant and can’t do enough for you , nothing is a problem and the rooms are very luxurious , actually it that’s good we’re back tomorrow for an overnight stay.
