ICheck Inn Motel

Front desk clerk is rude, a liar, arrogant, and condescending. She will throw your belongings in the garbage bin without waiting the 3 months as per the InnkeepersAct of Ontario. She makes her teenage daughter live there alone because her boyfriend doesn't like the girl. Stay far away from here....

First, the positives: (1) We survived and (2) we came in late and had to ring a bell for service - after about 5 minutes a guy showed up and he was quite helpful and kind at 1230 a.m. Now the negatives: People are clearly staying here for long periods of time - many semi-permament residents. So loads of sketchy activity at 1230 a.m. Two rats scurried under the car we parked beside (by the outside "play area"). I scared them away before they spooked my kids. They ran off to the building right beside the stairs to the second story. After passing some drug paraphernalia in the stair well, we quickly dove into room 25 - the family suite! It was gross - the floor was sticky, the bathroom was dated and could have been cleaned better. The faucet in the bathroom was not attached properly to the counter and the back window would not close properly or lock. We slept on top of the covers with one eye opened. Thankfully the kids woke up early and we decided to foego our showers and leave after only 6 hours in this place. Very thankful we survived, but this place is sketchy and I will do my research better next time and gladly pay more to stay elsewhere. We will never be back.

Staff were very friendly

We arrived at the property where I assume most rooms are rented by the week/month since a U-Haul was filling the parking lot with a whole apar**ents worth of belongings. The play area had half dressed kids who obviously played there daily by the amt of toys. Our room had a pullout bed with no pillows or blanket. There were 3 of us but we only had 2 towels which were dirty. There were holes in the walls and out widows both looked out onto a brick wall. We asked for towels but didn't get any. The pillow they finally brought was a 12 inch square accent pillow in a pillow case. The a/c worked great but the heater was stuck on and too rusted to turn off but had a plastic something shoved in it so all we smelled was burning plastic. Everytime we opened our door, others from the parking lot would wander right over to look in our room . When we left to our football game, we took all our belongings with us.
