Ms. Sheila and Xavier were very welcoming and accommodating, while remaing professional. Ms. Sheila gave me places to take my very active 6-year-old granddaughter to expell her energy. Xavier asked the chef to fix me chicken sausage for breakfast, as I don't eat pork. The rooms smelled fresh, were very clean and spacious. Concierge services were great as well. Our stay was fantastic!!

This little hotel is wonderful for many reasons. First, needed a different room for the trip that I was on due to the fact that our organization usually has a social networking time in whatever suite I get put into. The first room was not suitable for this and I went to the front desk and asked for another room more suitable. Even though they were full capacity they still were able to make it work and get me a room that was perfect. Kudos to those gentlemen for that! Second, this hotel has a great location to most all of the downtown restaurants and bars. Lyft/Uber rides are plentiful and less expensive than some places we attend. Lastly, the hotel itself has a fantastic vibe! The old antique feeling of all of the rooms is a wonderful feeling.

I booked this hotel because I'm a sucker for older buildings with Art Deco architecture. When I walked into the lobby, i was pleased...it appeared to have delivered in that department. The gold elevators, the floors, the fixtures were all exactly what I was looking for. Sadly, once we got up to our room, the charm of the hotel ended with a thud. The room was dark. We fumbled for the light switch, and a single low-watt lightbulb flickered on by the bed. The rest of the stay, I tried to get some kind of illumination (other than the flashlight on my phone) but was thwarted at every attempt. The floor lamp's bulb was burnt out. Other switches did nothing. The curtains were impossible to budge or even reach. It felt like we were in a cave...a cave with dated carpeting and beat up furniture. It's sad, because this building could be such an amazing hotel if they put a little love and design into the rooms. We ate at the restaurant downstairs for dinner and it was pretty good. Over all, however, I say thumbs down. Kimpton, I thought you guys would do better than this!

Kakitangan Hotel sangat ramah dan membantu. 3 daripada 5 hari saya berada di sana lif tidak berfungsi dan saya terpaksa menaiki lif perkhidmatan atau berjalan naik dan turun 5 anak tangga. Tangga tidak dibersihkan dengan baik, dan sebagai seorang wanita yang mengembara sendirian tidak berasa selamat! Hotel ini dalam pembinaan dan kakitangan berusaha keras untuk memenuhi keperluan anda. Sarapan pagi (sejuk) tidak seperti yang saya jangkakan semasa menempah bilik dan membayar tambahan $9.00, saya hanya mendapat sarapan pagi. Sekarang saya tahu apa yang diharapkan apabila tinggal di sana, saya mungkin akan teruskan dan tinggal hanya kerana kakitangannya sangat ramah dan hanya satu blok dari mesyuarat Pejabat saya, tetapi saya tidak akan membayar tambahan untuk sarapan pagi. Suite-suitenya sangat bagus dan lapang, jadi mudah untuk menyelesaikan kerja.

My child had a weekend event at UNC School of the Arts and this hotel is conveniently located - about 5 minutes drive away. Room was decent size and clean. Gym is available but very small. Parking lot is across the street but there's a convenient side exit on the 2nd floor of the hotel to go in and out. Breakfast had limited selection but overall above average for this type of hotel. I walked to a couple of nearby restaurants - seemed safe but not a lot of activity in that area on the weekend. Staff was overall helpful but did run into one snafu in which I was told the day before check out that I could have 4pm check out (expected as a Titanium member) but then on the day of check out I was told that I had to check out at 2pm. Normally not a big deal but it was a sudden last minute change which proved inconvenient given my activities of the day. I ended up having to sit in my car for two hours instead.

Beautiful hotel with an historical feel. The lobby and my room was very clean. The only complaints I have were the scratches all on the tables and caulking in shower were coming apart. Just makes me wonder what does maintenance do? Being that my husband is a director of maintenance at an historic hotel. He pointed these things out and said this could cause for a great place to end up not being so great. Also the shower door just seems to be stuck or just needing some maintenance. Other than that, the housekeeping staff was very nice and did a great job on my stayover service
