Arrived on time from Shanghai,to our surprise the hotel room is beyond our expectation due to the fact,our previous one in Shanghai was a tiny room. Pro: - surrounding areas are pleasantly decorated and many cafes & eateries to choose from. - for a different taste,just crossover the other side of Pheonix Masjid by using escalator to the muslim friend areas & restaurants which serves halal food - Con: West lake is big pond,choose your scenic viewpoint wisely or you will end up in a very crowded areas.But it is not a stopper because the place is beautiful

I recently stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartments, and my experience was extremely disappointing. I booked through Trip.com, which clearly stated that all guests from all regions and countries are welcome. However, upon arrival, the hotel failed to inform me of a discriminatory local policy that caused significant problems during my stay. Late at night, the police came into my room unannounced, creating a highly stressful and uncomfortable situation for both me and my partner. This was not only an invasion of privacy but also caused emotional distress. At no point during booking or check-in did the hotel provide any disclaimer or warning about such policies that could affect guests. For a global brand like Marriott, I expected professionalism, transparency, and care for guests’ safety and dignity. Instead, I felt misled and unsupported. If the hotel is aware of restrictions that may impact certain guests, they should be upfront about it before booking, not leave travelers to face such distressing surprises. I will not be staying here again and cannot recommend this property to others. Clear communication and respect for guests are basic expectations, and unfortunately, this hotel failed on both.

My stay at a Wuzhen homestay was one of the highlights of my trip through the Jiangnan water towns. Nestled among the ancient stone bridges and narrow canals, the homestay perfectly balanced traditional charm with modern comfort. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality—exactly the kind of personal touch that makes a homestay special. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated with wooden details that matched Wuzhen’s historic atmosphere. Despite the rustic look, amenities like the air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and bathroom facilities were all up to modern standards. I especially loved the view from the window: early-morning mist rising over the canal made me feel like I’d stepped into a classic ink-wash painting. Location-wise, the homestay was ideal. It was close enough to the main scenic areas to walk there within minutes, yet tucked away on a quieter street so I could enjoy peaceful evenings without the tourist crowds. The host also provided great recommendations for food and activities, including some hidden spots that most tourists miss. Overall, staying at a Wuzhen homestay made my visit feel more authentic and relaxed. If you want an experience that blends history, comfort, and local warmth, I highly recommend choosing a homestay in Wuzhen.

Lovely accomodation. The overall service was warm and friendly. The eggplant parmesan was my favorite dish as well as fresh juice. The room looked just like the pictures. They do seem to need a bit more staff to cook and serve when the dining area gets busy. Pre-ordering meals doesn't necessarily mean that all food will be ready at once. Our friends had about 40 minutes wait between dishes. Also, the first morning, breakfast was served beuatifully. The second morning, we had to inquire about different parts of our breakfast since it was not all served at once. Overall, very kind service with a smile. The welcome fruit was a nice touch.

The room was excellent, spotless, and tidy. It's clearly a popular choice, with many international guests. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, even personally guiding me to District 1. I was thoroughly impressed. The location is also fantastic, being very close to Binwang Night Market.

A Thoughtful Oasis Amidst the Bustle of Commerce My stay at the Yiwu Peninsula Star Hotel coincided with the grand opening of the Global Digital Trade Center in District 6 of the International Trade City. Amidst all the excitement, the hotel truly stood out as a rare haven of comfort. Its location is absolutely perfect, offering super convenient access to the newly opened Global Digital Trade Center – ideal for my exhibition visits and sourcing needs. What left the deepest impression, though, was the service; it was genuinely attentive and impeccably polite. Upon check-in, the lemon water offered by the front desk was a refreshing welcome, dispelling my travel fatigue, and the check-in process itself was efficient and handled with patience. When I needed extra amenities, the phone response was prompt, and the staff who came to my room always had a smile and professional demeanor. Returning in the evening, I found the turndown service already done, with a thoughtful bottle of mineral water placed by the bedside – a testament to their attention to detail. The room layout was sensible, the bedding comfortable, and the bathroom featured a convenient wet/dry separation, allowing for complete relaxation after a busy day. Breakfast offered a rich selection of both Western and Chinese options, providing a great start to the new day. In the fast-paced world of Yiwu commerce, this hotel is the perfect blend of efficiency and warmth.

My friends raved about this hotel I booked. It's ideally located, offering a quiet escape while being just a 200-meter stroll from the bustling Ding'an Road or Yan'an Road. Another 200 meters brings you to the subway station or West Lake, which is perfect for tourists. The staff aren't overly warm, but they're efficient and quickly resolve any issues, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, providing much-needed rest after long days of sightseeing. For the last two days of our trip, they upgraded me to a lake view room, where I could even catch the West Lake musical fountain at night. Despite its quiet surroundings, the hotel is surrounded by great dining options. Downstairs, there's a delicious Shaoxing restaurant, and across the street, a small eatery serves amazing scallion oil noodles. The hotel's own breakfast buffet is excellent, priced at 36 per person, and has everything you could want, especially the incredibly tasty xiao long bao!

I used to stay at this well-established hotel, which was very convenient for me! When booking for my daughter and her classmate, it was the first place that came to mind! As always, they upgraded our room! New hotels nowadays just don't have the same quality as these older, established ones. Details like the flooring still show its former glory, giving it a very retro feel! The service was also good! Try to avoid driving here; parking at the entrance is available but costly in this prime location. Hangzhou never disappoints! My daughter told me that at West Lake, at 11:30 PM, staff were still helping tourists retrieve a phone. When their retrieval equipment couldn't find it, the staff actually took off their clothes and went into the water to get it! I really applaud the West Lake management for that! The day before, a similar incident happened when my daughter went to Xincheng Ancient Town. Her phone fell into the river while she was having tea, but she couldn't get through to the scenic area's phone number, even though it was before 5 PM! Local residents there actually demanded 1000 yuan to help retrieve it, and kept scaring the kids, saying the current was strong and it would be swept away if they didn't act fast... My daughter and her classmate were desperate (it was an iPhone 17 that she'd just bought, less than a month after her previous iPhone broke in Shanghai, so she probably felt very bad about it). Incredibly, she went into the river herself to retrieve it, even though she was on her period! By the time her dad arrived, ready to help, she had already gotten it out herself! Comparing this to the Hangzhou incident, her trip to Xincheng was a huge irony!

My biggest takeaway is that this is not a service-oriented hotel. The hotel has been established for many years and enjoys a steady clientele. Its proximity to the trade city likely means many foreign trade business people book rooms here for their clients, hence the large number of international guests. Overall, I didn't perceive much in the way of hotel service; it's quite different from many other similarly priced hotels in China. The only commendable aspect is that water, lemon tea, and small snacks are visibly placed in the lobby for self-service. Beyond that, services were minimal. Breakfast was Arabian-style, which offered little appeal to a Chinese palate. Dental kits were provided with the room card, but there were no other amenities in the room. The slippers didn't seem fresh either, which was a bit disappointing. However, the bedding and linens were decent, allowing for a good night's sleep. Having frequently stayed at hotels like Atour and other select-service brands in the same price range, I found this hotel's service and facilities to be somewhat lacking in comparison.
