It’s been almost 2 years, that we having been able to came back, to this beautiful City; I was a beat worried that the Service and professional qualities of the Hampton Inn Zacatecas Mexico, will not be the same as a few year’s ago do to the Pandemic. But still been the same or even better level of Professional Service, if you want to feel appreciated you need to be at the HAMPTON INN HOTEL in Zacatecas Mexico. I will write a follow up this morning after the Breakfast Buffet , it’s included with your Stay in this Hotel.

I had such a good experience and very comfortable stay at this hotel, because it hasnot only the best view from Zacatecas, the rooms are really comfortable and always very clean; but most of all, it was very nice to have a very warm welcome every single day (I stayed for almost one month) to a National Charro Congress and the hotel crew is really capable, from the costume service manager Mrs. Lucy who was really kind and professional to the janitors who were always on point to do their job. I for certainly will recomend it and for sure I will stay there the next year.

En recepción el Joven Alejandro muy amable.El desayuno muy rico y por parte de los meseros amables. Las habitaciones comodas y limpias. Solo como sugerencia, como valor agregado para los huespedes, aprovechar la terraza y poner unas mesas y sillas para dsifrutar tan hermosa vista. Como en San Miguel de Allende que muchos tienen servicio en las terrazas. Además hubo mucha vigilancia en el centro historico y muy bonito.

On the outside, it looks fabulous. It is partially surrounded by aqueduct and you actually live on the side of the bull ring. Our room faces an inside court yard which took away the view of the bull fighting ring. ( no difference if you stay in another non bull fight ring except for the expensive price ), Inside , you have a vastly different perspective. Same old baby with a diaper pictures in the hallways and room, the one and only old elevator doesn’t show which floor and when it stops, it shakes and rattles. The room has old and worn carpet, the room is half lit and to not bright enough to read . There is a jacuzzi but we didn’t use it. The jacuzzi is tilted away from the drain so it left a puddle of water. Every time we showered, we stepped into a small puddle of water left from the one who used it before. Our room on the first night has 2 steps between the beds and the bathroom so you have to be careful when you use the restroom at night . There are pigeons within the premise on the outside and pigeons do what pigeons do, they poo and they coo but you won’t smell it and you only see it on the upper floor if the windows are opened . Food ( I looked at the breakfast menu ) is expensive. For that price, you could easily buy 3 breakfasts in a restaurant near the Cathedral. The hotel is about 15 minutes to the cathedral ( good and bad . Good is you don’t hear the bell from the church . Bad is the distance, going uphill from the central area back to the hotel ). Not everything is bad however. I have to praise the lady receptionist and Andre, the men at the door that greeted us ( they are not always there . 2 or 3 times we just walked in without anyone at the door and the cleaning staff cleaned our room every day ( but no new bar of soap every day. We stayed for 4 nights and we had one bar of soap to share between 2 persons. Shampoo however is plentiful for me ). Another good thing is that it has a gym with a sauna which we didn’t use and bottle water and towels . People use the weight and left it on the floor but not one staff came and put it back on the weight rack. Even though our room is next to a staircase, it didn’t wake me up. The room is quite dark after turning off the lights . In the bathroom it is so dark that you couldn’t see the fingers. No morning light came in to wake us up. The bed was comfortable and of decent size. It has a small fridge but 3/4 full with drinks . If you drink it, you pay for it. We use the little space there to store fruit. Overall :(

Nos hospedamos 4 noches, el personal fue muy amable y no tuvimos ningún problema con el valet parking siempre fueron puntuales a entregar nuestro carro, la ubicación es perfecta , poco ruido al menos así fue , buen restaurante , el hotel es antiguo pero cuenta con lo necesario y esta muy bien cuidado , todo está cerca restaurantes tiendas y farmacias , en lo personal a mi y mi esposo nos gustó todo y claro que nos gustaría regresar algún día . No incluye desayuno pero tiene buen restaurante y muchas opciones de comida a pocos pasos.

The hotel is very well located but needs a lot of improvements and cleanliness. I was going to take a shower and a big dead roach inside the shower, a lot of hair on the floor in front of the shower, this also happened in one of the other rooms we had. It's like the room was never cleaned after the previous guest left. They don't put any amenities in the bathroom just a small soap, not glasses in the room. Safe deposit in two of the rooms were not working. Wood floors are coming apart in the 3 rooms we had. In the morning going to the restaurant there was a dead roach in front of the elevator Breakfast was not good and very small portions. Staff at the restaurant don't know what customer service is. It's a shame that a hotel like this one in a great location is in that bad shape. We expressed our concern to the staff and also to the manager, who had a very passive attitude like nothing was going on. Hope he takes this seriously and fix what needs to be fixed and supervise more closely the staff to give the guests rooms with the cleanliness and those basic and small details that are found in hotels.
