Beautiful hotel and very nice service but for the price you expect a bit of luxury experience. They push a bit to buy spa package or day trip package, I feel it’s not very elegant.. but overall it’s a nice place.

I'm just home from this lovely hotel and can honestly say it is one of the best holidays I have had. I cannot fault a thing about it. From the minute we arrived at the hotel the staff were just amazing. The reception staff are so efficient and welcoming. Check in was seamless. We were late arriving at the hotel at about 10pm and the restaurant was kept open so that we could enjoy a hot meal. A welcome drink was also provided. The room we had was spacious with a balcony. It had a shower and bath and very comfortable beds with lovely crisp fresh white sheets. The entire hotel is so clean. Every area we saw was pristine. Our rooms were cleaned daily and we were given fresh towels in the evening if required. A huge shout out and thank you to the housekeeping team. They do an amazing job and were always so friendly and helpful. If you needed anything they were always happy to help. The food is buffet style. We were half board. At breakfast there was a large selection of food items to choose from and I noticed they also catered for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. We enjoyed having our breakfast each day in the covered outside area of the restaurant which overlooks the swimming pools and gardens. The staff in the restaurant were also so welcoming and friendly from the Management to the chefs, waitresses and waiters. They work hard and again are always happy to help. 5 stars from me for Service. We also enjoyed the Evenings meals and again a good selection was on offer. The pool bar staff were excellent too. They were very attentive and always happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble. They were great at making pina coladas too which were a daily treat and made to perfection! Thank you to all of them. The grounds and pool areas are immaculate and very well maintained. I think they have the cleanest swimming pools I've seen in a long time. The water was cold when you first went in for a swim but after a few minutes swimming it was lovely and fresh and good to cool down in as the temperature rose. They have a family pool and an adults only pool which was a great idea. The pool bar and seating are us in the middle. Thank you to the really friendly gardeners too for doing a great job. The grounds have lots of lovely flowers and trees which are well cared for. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the start of the town area where there is a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops. It still retains the Greek village feel about it which is lovely. The Greek people were so friendly and welcoming everywhere we went. Checkout was also seamless. Again we had a late flight home and the hotel were able to accommodate us by allowing us to keep our room until 5:30pm . We were very grateful for this as it was heavy rain on our last day. We have been to Kalamaki many times over the years, and have walked passed the Athina Apartments on our visits, so we took the plunge and booked to stay here for 9 nights from the 8th September. The apartments are ideally located. They literally back onto the main ***** in Kalamaki, and are a few minutes walk from the main Kalamaki beach. We stayed in a top floor room, overlooking the pool. The view was great, and lovelly to wake up to in the morning or to enjoy of an evening before venturing out. Because we faced away from the main *****, we did not hear it at all. The rooms are basic, and could do with a little spruce up, but they are clean and comfortable, so that's what is most important. If you are looking to cook in the room, the cooking facilities consist of 2 hot rings and that's it. There is no oven or even a microwave. So you may struggle. But if like us, the only thing we cooked in the room was some toast for breakfast (yes there is a toaster and a kettle) then its fine. The pool area has been recently installed / renovated. Its is a lovely area, however during our entire stay, we did not see any member of staff tidy up the area at all, not even straighten the sun beds at the end of the day. When we had finished using the beds, we always tidied up after ourselves, and straighten the beds up etc, but not everyone did. So the pool area tends to look very untidy at the end of the day, which is such a shame, as it looks very tranquil in the evening, so it would be nice if it looked neat too :-) There is no lift in the hotel, so if you have struggle walking up flights of stairs, we would suggest opting for a ground floor apartment. However these do open up right onto the pool area so privacy will be a factor. The staff were great, and were always at hand should you need them. Would we stay again? Of course we would! In fact we have already booked to return again next September!!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel. It’s like a little oasis! Our (very spacious) room was tucked away above the spa, where it was very quiet. They kindly gave us a free room upgrade, so we had a huge in-room hot tub which was a nice surprise! And the balcony was the perfect spot for watching the sunset. The pool area was lovely, with comfy loungers/beanbags and lots of greenery. And the QR codes make it easy to order drinks or snacks straight to your sun lounger. The spa was also great, and you can book the pool/sauna for just the two of you, which is a nice touch. We booked half-board and the food was excellent. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choice, and you can also order a dish from the menu at no extra cost. I was very impressed by the evening buffet. I find that buffet dinners can be hit-and-miss, but everything was delicious, especially the Greek dishes. There was also live music by the bar on a couple of nights, which added a really nice atmosphere. Special shout-out to the evening bartender who made the most fantastic cocktails! We also ate at the Nobile rooftop restaurant one evening. We had the seven-course tasting menu which was very nice, but there was quite a lengthy gap between the courses. We were there over three hours – had we known it would be that long, I think we probably would have booked an earlier table. But it was a great experience nonetheless, and the food was wonderful. The final word goes to go to the staff, who were amazing. The reception team, the porter, the waiting staff, the spa team – everyone was so friendly, smiley, and couldn’t do enough for you. I’d definitely recommend Contessina Suites for a chilled-out break; we had the best time.

Paid 50 euro for a transfer from the airport, but the transfer never showed up. We called the hotel and they said the transfer was on the way. After about 20 minutes in record heat, we chose our own cab and paid 20 euro to go to the hotel. We requested a refund on the airport transfer, but the hotel staff declined. Instead they asked for a taxi receipt to prove we paid for a cab. Seriously? I recommend not questioning your guests' integrity. Our room seemed more or less clean, but not going to win awards in that area. Also, there was a large chair missing one of the four feet, so it constantly wobbled. We did not bother to tell the hotel staff about this, as they were generally unwelcoming and we did not expect any resolution. Cut our trip short and went to another hotel.

The hotel is right on the sandy beach with pool, bar and restaurant overlooking the sea. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food varied and delicious. The hotel was clean and well looked after and our room had a small side sea view balcony. The pool was not large but always kept clean and there were leisure facilities available as well as unpowered water sport kit (paddle boards, windsurf boards etc.) I would class it as a 'boutique hotel' as it is small and customer service orientated and was as good as the pictures shown and worthy of its star rating.

I don’t know where to even start but from the moment we step out of our transfer taxi to the moment we step back in to the transfer taxi it was A CLASS service. The staff at this hotel are so friendly kind and thoughtful. Nothing was too much of an ask. We had come to zante for my birthday and the ladies on front desk/bar/restaurant had sang to me a breakfast with a cake and also ensure a complimentary bottle of sparking wine and another cake was delivered to my room. Just stayed here for 11 nights. I cannot fault the hotel at all. Yes there is a steep hill up to the rooms so if you struggle with mobility take this into account but I saw guests with very poor mobility managing! Breakfast had plenty of choice. Cereal, yogurt, toast, cakes, sliced meats, cheese, sausage, small pastrey's, eggs, juice, coffee etc. There was enough to keep us going until tea time. The room had all we needed - safe, air con, fridge and a lovely comfy bed! It was cleaned every day, beds made and towels changed. Always got a welcoming smile and a good morning from the cleaners. Did use the pool - it was very cold, but so was the sea on some days! Hotel is on a busy main road with no footpath outside but there is room to walk single file and it was only for a couple of minutes. The hotel is located near to plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, all within walking distance. Not a lot of beach along argassi front but there is a free bus to banana beach (we didn't use this). There is no shortage of car/scooter/quad hire places and there are plenty of places to book your boat trips. I would definitely recommend a stay here - a small, quiet, friendly hotel.
