Enjoyed a 4 night stay is Junior suite room located on 3rd floor. The room enjoys great views of port, sea and square from a very large double balcony. Spacious and comfortable room with separate bedroom and lounge area. The suite has 2 air conditioning units, separate bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast was good and large choice offered. You can enjoy breakfast in their clique Central Cafe bar. Quick and efficient check-in/out. Friendly and welcoming staff. This is a return visit too.

Beautiful hotel and very nice service but for the price you expect a bit of luxury experience. They push a bit to buy spa package or day trip package, I feel it’s not very elegant.. but overall it’s a nice place.

The staff at the reception was so helpful and they were very kind to my son (4). Also the tours I booked with the hotel were very nice and they helped me quickly with all my questions (even during the evening and weekends). Cleaning of the room could be improved a bit (more consistent). Some days it was great, some days they forgot things. The location is perfect! When you walk out of the hotel you have plenty of restaurants and shops. The main shopping street is right in front of the hotel and the harbor is only a few minutes walking away. All and all we had a great time and I would recommend the hotel.

This adult-only hotel is in a tranquil part of the island. You can reach the city center in about 15 minutes by car. You can easily rent a vehicle, there are different agencies even near the hotel. Transportation from the airport to the hotel was flawless, there was no waiting time and the vehicle (range rover) was in good condition. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted very well. Fresh towels, water and a refreshing ice cream accompanied us during check-in. The room was not ready yet, but we arrived 3 hours before the official check-in time, anyway they made available to us the changing rooms of the gym, so we had the opportunity to wait in the pool. The room is exactly as described on the website. Sure it is bright and clean, but it is not in perfect condition. Some lights on the ceiling do not work, the whirlpool maintenance door is not attached to the tub and tends to open, some buttons on the TV remote do not work. We also found the toilet rather uncomfortable, mainly due to the opening of the door and the size of the bathroom itself. Check our video on YouTube - @travelwithpassionandstyle for more information. The Wi-Fi had two problems, on the terrace, there was almost no coverage, and in the room, it was very slow. Even e simple wi-fi call with no video was almost impossible to accomplish. The hotel has a private beach with beds and umbrellas. It's easy to find free places, especially in the morning. The beach itself is not very large but during our stay, it was never overcrowded. The sunbeds were pretty comfortable, but your relax might be ruined by jet ski driving in front of the beach at high speed. They were very noisy, the water sport rental service just next to the hotel doesn’t help in this sense. Also, bear in mind that smoking is permitted, so if you, like us, don’t appreciate the smell of the smoke, you should take this into consideration as well. The hotel has a very nice restaurant overlooking the beach and sea. It’s called Gaia. They essentially have a “à la Carte” menu, but the idea is that you get the tasting menu. As we mentioned before, the location is very nice, unfortunately the service is not top notch. At the beginning, they seemed to be a bit confused about who was in charge for what. They asked us three times which kind of water we would like to drink and the first waiter, who said he was our waiter for that evening, never showed up again during the entire dinner. Breakfast is served on the terrace with a beautiful view of the sea and swimming pool, considering the class of the hotel, we were very surprised about the lack of fish in the buffet. Overall, the quality was acceptable, well presented but with some mishaps. During our stay, the breakfast was almost always the same, we can’t say the same thing about the service. It happened more than once that one waiter asked which type of water we would like to drink, and literally 30 seconds later, another waiter asks the same question. Also, it

Great experience with the people, the staff, the food, and the service. The receptionists were always kind and able to solve any problem. Food at the bar was available until midnight so we could eat there in many cases. The food in general was very good, but the amazing thing was the hamburger: fresh meat, fresh bread and veggies. Homemade. Delicious. And so were the salads and the gyros. The rooms were always clean. Also the quality of the customers was really good. We met nice people. The overall resort was quiet at night and we could rest very well. Thank you for the wonderful staying.

I'm just home from this lovely hotel and can honestly say it is one of the best holidays I have had. I cannot fault a thing about it. From the minute we arrived at the hotel the staff were just amazing. The reception staff are so efficient and welcoming. Check in was seamless. We were late arriving at the hotel at about 10pm and the restaurant was kept open so that we could enjoy a hot meal. A welcome drink was also provided. The room we had was spacious with a balcony. It had a shower and bath and very comfortable beds with lovely crisp fresh white sheets. The entire hotel is so clean. Every area we saw was pristine. Our rooms were cleaned daily and we were given fresh towels in the evening if required. A huge shout out and thank you to the housekeeping team. They do an amazing job and were always so friendly and helpful. If you needed anything they were always happy to help. The food is buffet style. We were half board. At breakfast there was a large selection of food items to choose from and I noticed they also catered for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. We enjoyed having our breakfast each day in the covered outside area of the restaurant which overlooks the swimming pools and gardens. The staff in the restaurant were also so welcoming and friendly from the Management to the chefs, waitresses and waiters. They work hard and again are always happy to help. 5 stars from me for Service. We also enjoyed the Evenings meals and again a good selection was on offer. The pool bar staff were excellent too. They were very attentive and always happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble. They were great at making pina coladas too which were a daily treat and made to perfection! Thank you to all of them. The grounds and pool areas are immaculate and very well maintained. I think they have the cleanest swimming pools I've seen in a long time. The water was cold when you first went in for a swim but after a few minutes swimming it was lovely and fresh and good to cool down in as the temperature rose. They have a family pool and an adults only pool which was a great idea. The pool bar and seating are us in the middle. Thank you to the really friendly gardeners too for doing a great job. The grounds have lots of lovely flowers and trees which are well cared for. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the start of the town area where there is a good choice of restaurants, bars and shops. It still retains the Greek village feel about it which is lovely. The Greek people were so friendly and welcoming everywhere we went. Checkout was also seamless. Again we had a late flight home and the hotel were able to accommodate us by allowing us to keep our room until 5:30pm . We were very grateful for this as it was heavy rain on our last day. The property itself is so beautiful, the location is stunning, it has a very welcoming feeling due to it not beinh a big hotel. Breakfast is yummy, and the hospitality is just wonderful. The staff feels like a family and the vibe allover is just incredible. The owner even arranged a car hire for us, the agency brought the car to the property, we didn't need to do much ourselves, it was a perfect vacation and i would highly recommend staying here. What i also liked very much was the fact that at the time of our stay there were no families with small children (it felt super relaxing) so the pool was always available, also enough sunbeds for everyone and there were floaties and balls in the pool so we could also play and chill if we wanted to. But otherwise the place seems also great for families. The staff made sure we had a great time :)

My wife and myself are just back from having a lovely 2 week stay at this lovely hotel. It was quite with it getting towards the end of the season. We stayed from the 20th of September until the 04th of October. We had booked a Chic room and was upgraded to a Deluxe suite at no extra cost. We stayed on a B & B basis and could not fault the breakfast as there was always plenty of choice. The staff was always chatie and PAVASKEVI always had a big smile when ever you seen her. The pool area was well maintained with plenty of sunbeds and umbrella's no matter what time of day you went down. As for eating out there was ample restaurant's to choice from. Would we go back to the Koukounairia Hotel and Suites yes but a bit earlier in the season.

Paid 50 euro for a transfer from the airport, but the transfer never showed up. We called the hotel and they said the transfer was on the way. After about 20 minutes in record heat, we chose our own cab and paid 20 euro to go to the hotel. We requested a refund on the airport transfer, but the hotel staff declined. Instead they asked for a taxi receipt to prove we paid for a cab. Seriously? I recommend not questioning your guests' integrity. Our room seemed more or less clean, but not going to win awards in that area. Also, there was a large chair missing one of the four feet, so it constantly wobbled. We did not bother to tell the hotel staff about this, as they were generally unwelcoming and we did not expect any resolution. Cut our trip short and went to another hotel.
