VERY NOISY ROOMS!!!!!! 2nd floor for which you pay 197 euros with breakfast. Normally we don't have this when we stay in a hotel. We could literally hear the neighbor on the phone and woke up to the kids staying in their room across the hall. If someone says something in the hallway, it's as if they're in your room. In fact, I wouldn't walk in the hallway with your children, because there are also sounds that you hear very loudly that you actually don't want to hear. The location is beautiful and it is nice that you can check out later, the restaurant staff is very friendly. The manager (she said she was, but she wasn't) at the front desk, on the other hand, doesn't understand what customer service means. We asked if we could get a quieter room and got a whole story about how much money an upgrade would cost her. She said that we might be able to go to the suite, but we had to pay for it and it would not be available the next day, while we could simply book it online the next day. I don't like it when people lie flat out to your face. Very unfortunate because they could really get a lot more out of this hotel. We will not choose this hotel again.

Oké hou je vast, onder het bed lag stof van in ieder geval, 3 weken. Deurklink van de douchedeur zit los. Dus je kunt er in het ergste geval niet uit. Daar betaal je veel voor en oplossen kan niet? Ik heb vandaag bij de receptie gestaan omdat het niet redelijk is wat hier gebeurt. In 2 hotelkamers die we hadden geboekt, was stof en een spinnenweb. Wel leuk zo met halloween, maar dan wil ik wel minder voor de service betalen. Maar ik kon geen paar tientjes terugkrijgen, dat is teveel werk. Let op waar je zaken doet.. als dit niet wordt opgelost, dan komen we absoluut niet meer bij Bastion. Personeel is allemaal heel lief en wil ik niks van zeggen. Maar stof op je kamer en de deurklink die stuk is van de douchedeur, wordt afgedaan met een drankje.. als dit zaken doen is, kan ik volgens mij makkelijk concureren door af en toe een schoonmaker in te huren en weinig onderhoud te plegen. Ik heb foto's, dus ik kan het ook nog aantonen. Oh ja en er zat een vlek op een sprei en het was een witte vlek, erg gezellig allemaal.

Our waitress Carrolyn was impeccable and hospitable. Top banana. Definitely recommend our stay at this establishment as a result. Facilities are plentiful, beds comfortable and all for a reasonable price. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Also the Hotel is next to McDonald’s which made it easy for snacks.

We have chosen the hotel because of its location close to Rotterdam and the motorway. We had some work to do, so decided to take a Skyline Suite, so we had some space to sit and work. Regrettably the suites are made for a romantic outing. Being on the 13th floor there is no worry that somebody looks into the room. The hotel also takes an extra € 150 as bond, in case you make a mess of the room. There is a separate toilet. The bathroom area is huge. Two wash basins and lot of space, regrettably there were no glasses available. We used the carton coffee cups to drink from. A huge batch in an open area, which was not used. An open room again with 2 showers and ‘rainforest’ shower heads in the ceiling. The water pressure was not high enough to really make them work. Also no towel rails or towels provided in that room. So - unless you were prepared - you had to walk into the space with the bath in , to get towels. Only 2 towels are provided, large enough to wrap a child in… but not big enough for an adult. The quality was inferior and not nice big and fluffy for a room with so many water features. Again only 2 larger towels so if you wanted a bath and a shower, you had to use a wettish towel for the second use. No table where you could use a room service meal , nor decent chairs. No desk either, instead a make table with a big mirror. Two lounge chairs, where you can only lie in, next to the bed where you can lie in. The bed is big, but the mattress did not fit the bed! On both sides you had 15 cms space. The room has a coffee machine, with 4 coffee pods. So you’d better not be a coffee drinker. A small fridge is also present, with 2 small bottles of water, so no min bar!! For a room which costs over € 300 this can be used as a nice romantic getaway with your secret friend … but bring your own ice box, towels and coffee!!

Stayed here for one evening and enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the excellent front-desk service. The location seemed isolated from town. While it had AC, I couldn’t get the room to feel cool as the thermostat only allows for changes of +/- 3 degrees from whatever central temp they have programmed. While I wasn’t a fan of the service in the restaurant, I was happy in the hotel and bar.

Oké hou je vast, onder het bed lag stof van in ieder geval, 3 weken. Deurklink van de douchedeur zit los. Dus je kunt er in het ergste geval niet uit. Daar betaal je veel voor en oplossen kan niet? Ik heb vandaag bij de receptie gestaan omdat het niet redelijk is wat hier gebeurt. In 2 hotelkamers die we hadden geboekt, was stof en een spinnenweb. Wel leuk zo met halloween, maar dan wil ik wel minder voor de service betalen. Maar ik kon geen paar tientjes terugkrijgen, dat is teveel werk. Let op waar je zaken doet.. als dit niet wordt opgelost, dan komen we absoluut niet meer bij Bastion. Personeel is allemaal heel lief en wil ik niks van zeggen. Maar stof op je kamer en de deurklink die stuk is van de douchedeur, wordt afgedaan met een drankje.. als dit zaken doen is, kan ik volgens mij makkelijk concureren door af en toe een schoonmaker in te huren en weinig onderhoud te plegen. Ik heb foto's, dus ik kan het ook nog aantonen. Oh ja en er zat een vlek op een sprei en het was een witte vlek, erg gezellig allemaal.

Stayed here for one evening and enjoyed the comfort of the bed and the excellent front-desk service. The location seemed isolated from town. While it had AC, I couldn’t get the room to feel cool as the thermostat only allows for changes of +/- 3 degrees from whatever central temp they have programmed. While I wasn’t a fan of the service in the restaurant, I was happy in the hotel and bar.

Our waitress Carrolyn was impeccable and hospitable. Top banana. Definitely recommend our stay at this establishment as a result. Facilities are plentiful, beds comfortable and all for a reasonable price. It was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Also the Hotel is next to McDonald’s which made it easy for snacks.

We have chosen the hotel because of its location close to Rotterdam and the motorway. We had some work to do, so decided to take a Skyline Suite, so we had some space to sit and work. Regrettably the suites are made for a romantic outing. Being on the 13th floor there is no worry that somebody looks into the room. The hotel also takes an extra € 150 as bond, in case you make a mess of the room. There is a separate toilet. The bathroom area is huge. Two wash basins and lot of space, regrettably there were no glasses available. We used the carton coffee cups to drink from. A huge batch in an open area, which was not used. An open room again with 2 showers and ‘rainforest’ shower heads in the ceiling. The water pressure was not high enough to really make them work. Also no towel rails or towels provided in that room. So - unless you were prepared - you had to walk into the space with the bath in , to get towels. Only 2 towels are provided, large enough to wrap a child in… but not big enough for an adult. The quality was inferior and not nice big and fluffy for a room with so many water features. Again only 2 larger towels so if you wanted a bath and a shower, you had to use a wettish towel for the second use. No table where you could use a room service meal , nor decent chairs. No desk either, instead a make table with a big mirror. Two lounge chairs, where you can only lie in, next to the bed where you can lie in. The bed is big, but the mattress did not fit the bed! On both sides you had 15 cms space. The room has a coffee machine, with 4 coffee pods. So you’d better not be a coffee drinker. A small fridge is also present, with 2 small bottles of water, so no min bar!! For a room which costs over € 300 this can be used as a nice romantic getaway with your secret friend … but bring your own ice box, towels and coffee!!

VERY NOISY ROOMS!!!!!! 2nd floor for which you pay 197 euros with breakfast. Normally we don't have this when we stay in a hotel. We could literally hear the neighbor on the phone and woke up to the kids staying in their room across the hall. If someone says something in the hallway, it's as if they're in your room. In fact, I wouldn't walk in the hallway with your children, because there are also sounds that you hear very loudly that you actually don't want to hear. The location is beautiful and it is nice that you can check out later, the restaurant staff is very friendly. The manager (she said she was, but she wasn't) at the front desk, on the other hand, doesn't understand what customer service means. We asked if we could get a quieter room and got a whole story about how much money an upgrade would cost her. She said that we might be able to go to the suite, but we had to pay for it and it would not be available the next day, while we could simply book it online the next day. I don't like it when people lie flat out to your face. Very unfortunate because they could really get a lot more out of this hotel. We will not choose this hotel again.
