The hotel's location is very central. It's within walking distance of everything. I should mention that it's darker than it appears in the photos. That was probably the room I was given. To reach my room, I had to go through an alley, climb stairs, then two more alleys, then a short hallway, and finally descend again, navigating a labyrinthine path. I had to do this alone, especially with two suitcases, a large laptop bag, and my leather suit in a garment bag. There was no bellboy at the hotel, and they didn't offer any help. Doing this after two connecting flights was a disappointment. I've included a picture of my room and a screenshot of the room specifications from trip.com. It's incredibly small. I stayed in the exact same room. I hadn't specifically requested non-smoking accommodation beforehand, but they didn't offer it when I first arrived. Since it was my first time staying at that hotel, I didn't want to cause any problems on the first day. Yes, there was a heater in the room, but when I mentioned it was cold, the receptionist told me the heaters weren't working yet. When I repeatedly complained about being cold, the manager brought me an electric heater from his office and handed it directly to me. I had to carry it to my room alone, again through the same labyrinthine path. Likewise, there was no hairdryer in the room; I had to get one from reception. The internet worked well; I didn't experience any problems. There was probably a 49'' TV in the room; I only used it once, and the back cover of the remote control was missing, and the batteries were oxidized. The room had a bathroom and toilet, but it was very small. It was stated that there would be a wardrobe, but the room I received didn't have one; instead, as you can see in the picture on the left, there was an open coat rack. Therefore, I couldn't unpack my suitcase. I constantly had to take things out and put them back in. The bed was comfortable with two pillows. I brought my own pillow, so I didn't have any problems. There was no phone in the room; you couldn't reach reception from the room. As mentioned, there was a coffee, tea, and kettle maker on the bedside table (under the TV). There was a set of towels for two. They didn't provide room cleaning, ventilation, or towel changes (there was no ”Please clean” or ”Please don't disturb” sign on the entrance door). There was a towel rack/heater in the bathroom to help dry the towels. The bathroom was old. The shower curtain, in particular, was very bad. Because it hung too far inside the bathroom, it stuck to my body when wet while showering. It was very uncomfortable. Opening and closing the curtain was also difficult due to rust. Breakfast was served as an English breakfast. I stayed for 3 nights but only had breakfast one night. It generally suited my taste, but the variety was limited. I wouldn't recommend having high expectations. During my stay, I had the chance to speak with two reception staff members. I can say they tried to be helpful. There's a small bar, which I used one night. The prices weren't bad; I paid 24 pounds for two doubles and a double Jack Daniel's.

Couple with dog. For two nights we didn't have hot water. We rang reception an spoke to the duty manager - the second time...He told us it was because there was a coach load of people staying who had all taken a shower/bath at the same time on their return, and we would have to wait until it heated up again. That didn't allow for the lack of pressure - a trickle! In the end we gave up - no shower/bath. However, the duty manager assured us that the manager would find us the next morning.... this never happened, On the Saturday night the same thing happened. The excuse given by the receptionist for the manager not having found us that morning was there was a wedding and all managers were needed - they didn't start their shift until 11am. The duty manager couldn't speak to us as he was working at the wedding - Saturday night - but Leanne assured us that she had noted our complaint and that she had written up notes, and our inconvenience (now not having hot water for two nights of a three night stay) would be reflected in our invoice on checking out. This wasn't the point. The stay was supposed to be a relaxing, super special treat, not able to have a shower or a bath at night was NOT okay! She assured us that on the third night the 'tour' party and 'wedding party' would have left. So we would have hot water. Which we did. On checking out the receptionist had no idea about our complaint, and therefore couldn't help us. We are in the process of writing a compliant, and a review. The staff and hotel did not let you down - the management did! I have a video of the water pressure. On another point, the hotel is described as dog friendly. This might be the case. You can bring your dog for a fee of £25 a night, however, on check in we were told we had to eat in the bar area or outside. Luckily the weather was okay. However, we felt like second class citizens! Not only that but the bar area has no tables at which anyone could eat a meal - the tables are all low and only fit for snacks!

Took myself away for the weekend. the location of this hotel was perfect for me to decide where I could go for the day. There's a lot to do in the area, from bowling with an arcade, soft play for children, and cinema. A good selection of places for food and drinks. The train station isn't too far away and opens up a lot more places. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They give recommendations and help direct to whatever you need / want. The staff also on arrival ask I'd you have a preferred floor. Stayed here 3 times. I would definitely recommend and stay again if needed to.

Beautiful hotel with gardens and a fantastic spa. The rooms are spacious and full of character, but unfortunately poorly maintained. The carpets are worn, furniture stained and wallpaper peeling. All to be expected from a hotel as old as this, although it’s wise to curb your expectations as hotel pictures aren’t an accurate reflection. Room 135 was so full of potential and could be absolutely spectacular with some TLC. Staff were wonderful; attentive, warm and helpful.

The hotel is in a great area of the countryside of Warwickshire. When you arrive the bar/food service next door is currently having maintenance issues so it is not currently open. When we arrived, the service was amazing:kind, friendly and approachable. On arrival to our room, the room (21) was a big size. The double bed was huge and double beds were available to our 2 children - even with our luggage scattered around the room, there was still plenty of room for the children to run around and play. My fiancé said the room was quiet warm but I liked the temperature of the room and found it pleasant - not too warm or cold and was very comfortable. The only amenities we would have benefited from as a family, was a fridge because our youngest needs dairy free milk for the night. However, I appreciate this is a luxury within hotels so it wasn't a factor to complain about. The beds were comfy. Breakfast in the morning - running from 7am-10am (we arrived at 9am) was a little disappointing. There wasn't much choice and a lot of items we had to wait for between 10-15 mins - and without saying anything to very absent kitchen/buffet staff, it wasn't topped up. I made do with what was left but I didn't end up having any toast (no bread), no bacon and no eggs. Not worth the £12.99 price tag. I have seen this mentioned in other reviews but breakfast area was conservatory-esque and quite cold. As mentioned previously, customer service was great and this was upheld at checkout. No close local amenities, evening restaurant, local shop etc but overall, a lovely stay.

The location and ambiance of this hotel are truly exceptional, and I would highly recommend it. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the on-site spa with its indoor swimming pool added a wonderful touch of relaxation to the stay. The only small drawback was that they were unable to provide a toothbrush upon request. Aside from that, everything else exceeded expectations.

I came to stay as I needed to attend a meeting in the Birmingham Business Park the next day morning. The B&B was on the edge of the Coleshill. It was an okay stay, and just about okay. I won't be against staying there again, but there is nothing special to lure me back either. Plus: James ware expecting me when I arrived and showed me the key and the room. He also took my order for the next morning. The room was of decent size. There are lots of lights in the room. The bed was okay. There is on site parking space. The breakfast was ready when I walked down to the dining room. Minus: At £148 a nigh this was certainly not good value for money. The facility was a bit basic, albeit adequate (tea/coffee/kettle/biscuits and hair dryer). There was one bottle for hair/body wash and there was a small soap in the bathroom. Bathroom is just about of adequate size for one person. The water temperate varied a bit while on show, but workable. Also my room was on 2nd floor, with narrow steep stairs. It was okay for me as I traveled very light. But it would be tricky for someone with big luggage or mobility restraint.

Nice stay in Woodland Grange We had a great stay in Woodland Grange and can recommend this hotel! The hotel is located in a quiet area, but is only 10 minutes drive from the city centre of Leamington Spa. The property itself is very well maintained and extends over 16 hectares of extensive parking area, which invites to a cozy walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making our stay more pleasant. Our room was modernly furnished, spacious and clean without making meals. The hotel offers excellent facilities including a well-equipped fitness room, a billiard table in the game room and a business center. A great plus point is the generous, free parking directly on the site. And not forget: the fast and reliable Wi-Fi . We will come back and can put it on everybody's heart!

The Dakota is ideal for budget savvy travellers. The accommodation is clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom in good condition (water power in the shower good). Would stay again when I'm in the area.

Very glad I booked in this hotel. I needed a place for a night while coming to see the RSC, and the location couldn’t be better, just across the park. The room was so pretty and had everything you needed, bathtub, soap, iron, a kettle to make coffee/tea, and hair dryer. It doesn’t have AC, but my assistant dog and I were fine with just the fan. (I wonder in the winter?) But it did have towel warm rack- fantastic to dry off the towels and small washed clothes. The check in and out super easy and they’re keeping our luggage until we leave tonight, so I’m super grateful about that. The only thing I’d add to the room is better lighting for the bathroom’s mirror, since I could really see what I was doing 🤣 And maybe a better system to order in the pub, since it was a bit slow… But the food was Ok for a quick bite. Everyone was nice and I’d definitely would come back 🙌🏾
