Hotel Dengan Wifi di Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan

The hotel was located a 2 minute walk from the airport bus stop. It was also close to tram stops and a don quijote across the road. The room was a little small but we managed to make space for 2 large suitcases by moving things around. There is also a massage chair in the room which was a random nice touch. I really recommend the breakfast as there was an all fish option which is great if you're muslim and only eat halal. It gave us the opportunity to try something traditional that I would not have been able to before. Freshly made bonito flakes too! The hotel also has a luggage disposal service as my suitcase broke on the way there, it costed 3300 yen. It was a convenient, clean and safe stay :)

Everything from the room, the spa, breakfast and the surrounding area was good. The city view and sakurajima view were stunning. There’s a shuttle going to and from downtown. The checkin experience was no good - long queue and not clear to foreigners.

Let's start with the pros. This hotel is basically joined to the JR Kyushu Shinkasen / Kagoshimachuo station which is joined to the AMU Plaza shopping mall and it also has a tram stop right outside the mall (Kagoshima-chuo eki mae tram stop). So in terms of location I think this hotel ticks all the boxes. The lady at the front counter who was checking me was very friendly, however, we both had to use a translator to communicate 😂 . I believe that is it for the pros. Moving on to the cons. This hotel is starting to show its age (and not in a good way). The room was small, the bathroom is vintage, it felt dewy and it gave me an allergy attack. The 3 gripes I had: 1) The fix AC near the ceiling was blowing directly onto the bed which was really uncomfortable. I believe this contributed to my allergy flare-up. 2) The bed and the pillow was not very comfortable. I did not sleep well for the couple of nights. Or it could've just been the AC. 3) The hotel didn't offer any bottled waters. I would rather they take away the cheap plastic toothbrush and comb and offer the bottled waters instead.

Art Hotel Kagoshima offers a very positive stay overall, largely thanks to its outstanding staff, who consistently went out of their way to assist and make guests feel welcome. I strongly recommend requesting a room with a view of Sakurajima—one of Japan’s most active volcanoes—as waking up to this dramatic landscape is truly priceless. The hotel’s location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby bus routes. While the rooms are comfortable, the building is clearly dated and would benefit from significant renovations to better match the quality of service.

При заселении оказалось, что есть нестыковка между номера на Трип.ком и реальным номерным фондом. И как результат забронированный нами номер занят. В качестве замены нам предложили 2 варианта: площадью в 2 раза меньше (20 кв.м. вместо 40), зато с сауной в номере (нам такое не интересно), либо такой же площади, как изначально бронировали (40 кв.м.), но с 4 кроватями вместо нашей одной. Убедившись, что в нем окна тоже выходят на Сакурадзиму, мы выбрали его. На втором этаже 2 полутораспальные кровати, на первом 2 двуспальные. Матрасы и подушки комфортные, в меру жёсткие. На мини-кухне чайник, холодильник, плита, раковина, дрип-пакеты с кофе, сахар, кружки, тарелки, столовые приборы, даже сковорода. В ванной комнате есть шампунь, кондиционер, гель для душа, мыло, фен. Каждый день приносят чистые полотенца, забирают грязные и мусор (если их оставить на полу в прихожей), выдают новые мусорные пакеты. Возле ресепшна есть комод, в котором можно взять бритву, расческу, мочалку, ватные палочки, бумажные салфетки, маску для сна, беруши, зубную щётку и пасту. Уборка в номере предусмотрена при проживании более 4 дней, т.е. за 6 дней у нас убрались 1 раз. Вход в номер по qr-коду, который дают сфотографировать при заселении, он же позволяет пользоваться лифтом. Он же нужен для самостоятельного чекаута. Для удобства мы добавили код в понижение для разных скидочные карт. Минусы есть, но не критичные: автоматический свет в туалете: когда ночью встаёшь, он бьёт в глаза. Слишком теплые одеяла. В пятницу и субботу вечером в парке Тенмонкан, на который выходят окна номера, было очень шумно. Возможно это было связано с празднованием Хэллоуина (в остальные дни было тихо). В целом гостиница классная, новая, современная, однозначно стоит своих денег. С удовольствием вернёмся ещё.

Good location,within walking distance to jet foil port to Yakushima. Not far from bus stop from Kagoshima airport.  Very nice service from Hotel staffs, we came early(10am) and left our bags at the hotel, at check in time (3pm) they’ve already brought all our bags to the room.  Standard size of Japanese hotel with all amenities you need. Comfy bed.

The location was perfect, infront of the hotel there was a tram station and the jr station (kagoshima-chuo) is jus 10min walk away! On top of that, below the hotel there's Ramen shop , lawson and don quijote!

I like this hotel. I've stayed here for 2 times. They provide a free transfer from and to Railway station and a city centre. Very good onsen with a scenic view on Sakurajima. You can also rent a bike here in the hotel for a reasonable price. Convenience store is right by the hotel.

Amazing hotel in Kagoshima, the room window is directly facing the Sakurajima volcano. Mesmerising to look at it for sunrise and sunset. The hot spring spa is also great, and the restaurants are also super good quality. Highly recommended.
