October 2, 2024 D42: Mentang–Deyang Aba County is part of the vast grasslands of northwestern Sichuan, with its wide open skies and lush green grass. At the Grassland Village Nomadic Flavor Service Area on National Highway 347, you can experience the nomadic lifestyle of "living by the water and grass" and enjoy the vast grassland scenery and melodious pastoral songs. On the Hongyuan section of National Highway 248, a familiar sight comes into view—the Yangtze River and Yellow River Watershed. I recall the photos as proof that I've been here before, haha. The red leaves of Miyaluo have just started to turn red, with some "pioneers" already showing off their beauty, inviting people to come and admire the spectacular sight of frost-covered leaves (from mid-October to the end of November). It's not the season for viewing the Emetang Flower Sea, so I pass by quickly. Tomorrow, I'll visit my parents back home and return to explore Sichuan another day. The 42-day leisure tour of two provinces and one region in northwest China was a rewarding experience. First, visiting the army has always been my wish, and it was fulfilled. Second, I rediscovered the charm of the beautiful Xinjiang. Third, I gained some experience in RV camping. Traveling is not just about seeing the scenery in a different place, but also about experiencing the local life and culture. Only by being there can you truly appreciate the joy brought by the shock, magnificence, and surprise. Turn the distant places you want to visit into roads you've traveled, and let travel become the spice of life.
