Sharing my one-day tour itinerary in Chaoyang. 10:14 Depart from the high-speed train station and head to Chaoyang Bird Fossil National Geopark to see the Confuciusornis and ancient fruits. They are respectively the world's first bird and the first flower. The No. 15 bus connects the fossil park with Beita. At 13:00, arrive at the Chaoyang Beita Museum to see the amazingly beautiful underground palace relics— the Seven Treasures Pagoda, the Bodhi Tree, and the Nezha Disturbs the Sea stone case. You can buy a 50 yuan joint ticket to go inside the Beita. Inside, there are bricks and earth from three different eras, from the Former Yan, Northern Wei to the Liao Dynasty. At 15:00, arrive at the Chaoyang Museum to see the Hongshan culture jade pig dragon and the Former Yan's gold hairpin. At 16:00, depart and take the bus to Guandi Temple, only to find it closed for maintenance. The Guandi Temple has a famous pair of glazed skyward howling lions, unfortunately, they cannot be visited. Walk to Nanta. It is similar in style to Beita but lacks the reliefs. It dates back to the Liao Dynasty. Not far from Nanta is the Qing Dynasty's Youshun Temple, which closes at 17:00. Inside, there are a large number of exquisite Esoteric Buddhism reliefs. In the evening, take a walk along the banks of the Daling River, opposite is Phoenix Mountain. The water quality in Chaoyang is very clean. Choose Taizi Pot for dinner. It is essentially stir-fried meat with sauce.
