Meiao Ancient Village, Chengmai, Hainan.

The village was established during the Ming Dynasty, when the Wang family moved here from another village. Like many other ancient villages in Chengmai, Meiao is a typical volcanic rock house. In addition to the typical hall, the village also has many horizontal houses for storing sundries and raising livestock. The village now has a newly renovated Wang ancestral hall and two hexagonal ancient wells, which are still clear to this day. The large rice fields in front of the village are picturesque. The village is the fourth batch of traditional Chinese villages.
