Twin Great Stupas

The twin pagodas, namely Phra Maha That Naphamethanidon and Phra Maha That Naphaphonphumisiri, on Doi Inthanon, are another important landmark of Chiang Mai. The pagodas are tall and prominent. The surrounding area also has beautiful flower gardens and a view of Doi Inthanon. Inside Phra Maha That Naphaphonphumisiri, there are relics of the Lord Buddha, covered with a nine-tiered silver umbrella. It is a place of worship and is open to tourists.
