Heshuo Kejing Princess Mansion, Xincheng District, Hohhot The Heshuo Kejing Princess Mansion, also known as the Hohhot Princess Mansion Museum, is the residence built after the marriage of the sixth daughter of Emperor Kangxi, Princess Heshuo Kejing. The Heshuo Kejing Princess Mansion is located at No. 62, Tongdao North Road, Xincheng District, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Princess Mansion was built between the 36th and 45th years of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1697-1706) and was the residence of the sixth daughter of Emperor Kangxi, Princess Heshuo Kejing, after she married the Tushiyetu Khan of Khalkha Mongolia, Dondovdorj. The highest-ranking building in the Princess Mansion is the Jingyi Hall in the second courtyard, which was the place where the princess handled political affairs, received officials and subordinates, and met with guests during the Qing Dynasty (1636-1912). The architectural style of the Princess Mansion is completely in line with the royal standards, from the gate to the courtyard, from the overall layout to the detailed decoration, showing the majesty and arrogance of the royal family. Princess Heshuo Kejing had a typical "big female protagonist" life in modern people's eyes. After marrying far away, she had the power to rule the south and north of the desert, participate in politics, and supervise the country. She once formulated laws and regulations, and reclaimed more than 40,000 mu of land, attracting a large number of Han people. For this reason, Emperor Kangxi personally wrote a plaque to warn her, and the plaque of "Jingyi Hall" is still hanging in the mansion. The Heshuo Kejing Princess Mansion is a historical witness to the marriage of Manchu and Mongolian in the Qing Dynasty. It is the only well-preserved princess mansion in China, the only well-preserved royal building complex in the ancient architectural complex in Inner Mongolia, known as the "First Mansion West of the Capital", and an important cultural carrier of ancient architectural art.
