Station Sight

🚉 One of the most popular exhibitions in Hong Kong recently is the railway exhibition 'Station Sight' located at Hung Hom Station. It started a few months ago and is only open on weekends, making tickets extremely hard to get. Even after opening weekday slots in July, tickets remain in high demand, with some people even selling their free admission slots online. I was lucky to get a spot today, so of course, I had to come and take some photos to capture the scene. The exhibition does not offer walk-in slots; you must apply online in advance for slots available within the next 30 days. The day is divided into different time slots, and I booked the 3:30 PM slot. It's a self-guided tour, so as long as you arrive before the end of your time slot, you can enter and explore. There are many photo spots, such as railway signal lights, old tickets, souvenirs, and even an old train head and control panel. But the real highlight is on the lower level. In the middle of Hung Hom Station, two platforms are occupied by retired real-life Yellow Head and Fly Head trains. If you were born in the 80s or 90s, you would have fond memories of the Yellow Head trains. Seeing the orange plastic seats brings back childhood memories of train rides to Sha Tin. Friendly staff are also on-site to help visitors take photos. Additionally, there is a photo booth where you can dress up as MTR staff from different eras and instantly download the photos to your phone by scanning a QR code.
