📍 Jiayuguan Pass is the western starting point of the Ming Great Wall. It has a history of over 600 years and is known as the "First and Greatest Pass Under Heaven." It is famous for its majestic walls and rich historical culture. It was not only an important military stronghold but also a transportation hub on the Silk Road, and is one of the three wonders of the Great Wall of China. Jiayuguan Fortress The heavy gates and ancient walls exude a sense of history. The craftsmanship is exquisite, and the bricks of the walls and carvings of the towers are a testament to the wisdom of the ancients. Standing on the tower and gazing into the distance, one can't help but feel a sense of grandeur. Overhanging Great Wall The Overhanging Great Wall is the northern extension of Jiayuguan Fortress. It is built on a mountain ridge at an angle of about 45 degrees, giving it the appearance of hanging in mid-air, hence the name "Overhanging Great Wall." It is not very long, but the latter part is quite steep.
