Yumen Pass Overhanging Great Wall

Got up at 6:30 to climb the mountain. I was never this active at work. The Overhanging Great Wall is the northern extension of Jiayuguan Pass and an important part of the ancient military defense system of Jiayuguan Pass. It was built in the 18th year of the Jiajing period of the Ming dynasty (1539) with locally sourced gravel and rammed loess. Only 750 meters remain. It was repaired in 1987 and consists of a walkway, parapet, and watchtowers. A watchtower was added at each end, so there are three watchtowers in total. The Overhanging Great Wall is the last section of the Great Wall before it reaches Jiayuguan Pass and is known as the end of the Great Wall. I thought that after climbing Mount Tai, this section of the Great Wall would be easy. When I reached the top, I found that I had to crawl through a narrow hole to get down. I don't know how a fatter person would get through. The other side of the Great Wall is used by the research institute for archaeological purposes and is not open to the public.
