Two-day trip to Kyoto: an in-depth experience of traditional culture and natural beauty

#KYOTO itinerary Day 1: Exploring the culture and history of the ancient capital It is recommended to start the first day at Nanzenji. This Zen temple has a spectacular water pavilion and a quiet garden. It is a good place to appreciate Kyoto's traditional architecture. Then walk to the Philosophical Path, where you can walk along the cherry blossom trees and streams and feel the peaceful natural atmosphere. At noon, try Kyoto's special yudofu or matcha dessert at a small restaurant around Ginkakuji Temple. In the afternoon, visit Heian Shrine and admire its magnificent vermilion torii gate and Japanese garden. In the evening, go to Kiyamachi or the Kamogawa River, choose a restaurant to taste authentic Kyoto cuisine, and feel the romantic atmosphere at night. Day Two: Hidden Spots and Natural Beauty The second day begins with Kibune Shrine. This shrine in the mountains is famous for its flowing water and lantern trails, especially its Kawadoko cuisine in summer and the stunning scenery of red leaves in autumn. At noon, you can taste traditional Kawadoko cuisine in Kifune and enjoy a gourmet experience beside the flowing water. In the afternoon, move to Ohara and visit Sanzeninji Temple. The moss garden and tranquil environment here make you feel relaxed. Finally, we returned to the city and bought matcha desserts and Japanese souvenirs at the Isetan Shopping Center in Kyoto Station, which was the perfect end to our trip to Kyoto.
