Luoyang is worth a visit

2 hours from Shijiazhuang, 2 days and 1 night, take your kids to Luoyang!|||Luoyang is really worth a visit~ Avoid the crowds during the Lunar New Year, and enjoy Luoyang without the stress~ Take the high-speed train from Shijiazhuang 🚅 and arrive at Luoyang Longmen Station in 2 hours~ DAY 1⃣️ ➡️ Sui-Tang Luoyang City National Heritage Park: Royal garden of the Tang Dynasty Opening hours: 9:00–21:00 Night tours available during the Lunar New Year (Feb 10–Feb 25) 17:30–21:30 ➡️ Longmen Grottoes Visit Longmen Grottoes in the afternoon. The lights are turned on at 17:30, so you can see the grottoes during the day and at night. 🛅 Free luggage storage at the visitor center ➡️ Yingtianmen Opening hours: 9:00–22:00, last entry at 21:00 The night view is beautiful. We didn't buy tickets to go inside, but took some photos of the night view at the entrance. There are many restaurants nearby. I recommend Xiaojie Tianfu and Luoyang Weidao. ➡️ Luoyi Ancient City Reservation required (free 🆓) Wear Hanfu and experience the bright lights of the ancient capital. Tour route: Wenfeng Tower → Siyanjing → Jin-Yuan Ancient City Wall Ruins → Hechuan Lanterns → Loutai Street DAY 2 ➡️ Luoyang Museum 🛅 Free luggage storage at the entrance Opening hours: 9:00–17:00 (free, reservation required, reservations open 3 days in advance, make sure to book in advance, otherwise you won't be able to get a ticket, closed on Mondays) Learn about the history of Luoyang, the ancient capital of 13 dynasties, and see the Northern Wei half-face Buddha statue, "the most beautiful smile in the East". ➡️ Grand Canal Museum Opening hours: 9:00–17:00 (free, reservation required 3 days in advance, closed on Mondays) Learn about the history of the ancient Grand Canal and see the first Chinese royal lion of the Sui Dynasty. The relief "National Lifeline" shows the scenery of the Grand Canal. ➡️ White Horse Temple Opening hours: 7:40–18:40 You can buy 3 sticks of incense inside, or bring your own incense. Tour route: Main Hall of White Horse Temple → Zhiyu Teahouse (free tea, no talking) → Indian Buddhist Hall → Thai Buddhist Hall → Burmese Buddhist Hall ▶️ There is a bus stop at the entrance, which can take you to the city center or Longmen Grottoes. ▶️ You can buy cultural and creative products at the entrance, and bargain. I bought a fridge magnet for 10 yuan. ➡️ Don't eat at the restaurants at the entrance, the food is not good. We visited almost everything we wanted to see in 2 days, and returned in the evening. You can take a weekend trip if you are within 3 hours by high-speed train or car.
