I stayed at the foot of Mount Fuji for a whole week, wandering around as I pleased every day, avoiding those crowded internet celebrity check-in spots. I actually discovered a lot of super beautiful niche treasure spots, which were great for taking photos and had no people. I really felt the joy of not following the trend! Now I will share with you the one-day essential route I summarized. Follow it, and from morning to night, Mount Fuji will be like your private landscape🏔️ Itinerary 1. Beside Kawaguchiko Station: Beside Kawaguchiko Station in the morning, you don’t have to stick to the popular Lawson. The railway crossing next to it is full of Japanese drama feeling, which is very film-worthy📷 2. Kawaguchiko Art Museum: Navigate to Kawaguchiko Art Museum. After arriving, walk along the lakeshore and you will find a shallow beach in the lake. You can stand on it and take pictures of the beautiful lake with Mount Fuji. 3. Golden Torii: Take the train from Kawaguchiko Station (just take the regular train towards Otsuki), and you will reach Fujisan Station in two stops. From the exit of the station, it is a five-minute walk to the Golden Torii. Looking from the roadside, Mount Fuji just appears in the huge torii, and the golden sunrise shines on the top of the mountain, which is super shocking. 4. Shimoyoshida Station: Continue to take the train to Shimoyoshida Station. It is recommended to sit at the front of the train. In the section from Gekkoji Temple to Shimoyoshida, Mount Fuji will appear right in front of you, and the scenery is super beautiful. 5. Avoid the Nichikawa Watch Shop: After getting off the bus, don’t crowd into the Nichikawa Watch Shop. The two streets to the left and right of it are great for taking photos, and there are few people and cars. 6. Small alleys nearby: Walk around the area, you can see Mount Fuji from several alleys. I also found a beautiful river, which is a great atmosphere for taking photos. 7. Railway tracks next to Shimoyoshida Station: You can take photos of the rural train here, the scene is super healing. 8. Shimoyoshida Station: There are several retro trams parked here, which is perfect for taking photos. 9. Mount Fuji Station: Return to Mount Fuji Station in the evening. This unmanned station has a strong atmosphere, and you can take photos of the real "Mount Fuji" on the platform. 10. Mt. Fuji Station Observation Deck: There is an observation deck on the sixth floor of Mt. Fuji Station, where you can see a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji, and there are very few people. 11. Grassland near the Garden: Walk south from Kawaguchiko Station and navigate to the Garden. On the way, you will pass by a grassland facing Mount Fuji. It is desolate and open.
